Aug 30,2019The reverse loan process was very easy...not complicated. All of our documents were signed in our home by a local notary. All information was explained clearly. Dawn Bestafka was especially helpful. She was always available for any questions and concerns we had regarding all aspects of the loan process. RMF was apparently engaged in some kind of delay tactics in releasing documents. Chris was also very helpful in answering all my questions while I was at his office filling out documents. He kept us informed and answered ALL questions. This is not what most people do everyday so a good counselor is key especially dealing with seniors and their homes!!! Aug 01,2019I wish I could give more than five stars, it’s a really great company and the people who helped me were excellent! I really appreciated that they went through everything with me in detail, making sure I understood what was happening, each step of the way. When they said they were going to do something, they did it, and they did it on time. For example, the gentleman who gave us the required classes was very patient and explained things in detail; he made sure we understood the process. Joyce Lau, the notary that came to my house, was very, very good. She was detailed, and she answered all our questions. She explained every step to me and my daughter-in-law (who was helping me). I would highly recommend her. And last but not least, Chris Lee, is the BEST! He is absolutely wonderful, very patient and he helped me A LOT. Chris was the one who would always call me. Not only did he leave clear, detailed messages, he would always double check to make sure I got his messages. I am very bad with computers and I had my daughter-in-law and other sister helping me too. Chris was a team player and went above and beyond to make sure we all knew what was going on, since he knew they were helping me. As new details would come up, he immediately called me or texted me or emailed the girls. And that was very, very special to me. I trust him completely, and I highly recommend him! The same thing was noted over and over again - just the barest of information given, communication was not forthcoming after the initial request, took months for us to finally close - I could go on. What my husband and I encountered was an individual, Dawn, who answered our questions from day one, and every other time a question came up she made herself available to us. We were explained each and every step. Our experience was painless - our experience was quick - our experience was one everyone probably hopes for when deciding on a reverse mortgage.
