Aug 18,2023Solar panel and battery installation. After a very poor experience with another company I was lucky to be able to move my order to GHS. They were friendly helpful and supportive, giving all the advice and information I needed to reapply for the government loan. Because of previous delays we were working to a very tight schedule but as soon as the paperwork was in place the installation was arranged at very short notice. On the day of the installation the panel installer was here early, having left home at 5.30 am and worked incredibly hard. The electricians were equally impressive. Friendly efficient and tidy. The job was completed by lunchtime and they gave me excellent training on using the system. I have no hesitation in recommending this company, particularly Andy Naismith who guided me through the whole process and went well beyond normal service to help me get this completed.

Aug 10,2023Excellent service from start to finish. Good professional, impartial advice to make sure that we got the right system for us. Installation was clean, tidy and very professional. Ours is an old property and nowhere near as simple to work with as a new build, but the team always found the right solutions to issues. No complaints whatsoever, I have no hesitation in promoting Green Home Systems.

Government funded job and still feel ripped off, theyve done half the job and just dumped the other half in my garden in the rain (was supposed to be completed a few days ago but they havent even started on heatpumps), contacting them has been pointless just get bounced around and left in the dark. Never dealt with such a poorly managed company in my life. Even if they finish the job it will still be a zero of ten. As a side note some of the workmen who have been onsite have been great although unfortunately the work product has been abysmal under the orders of the company, but the office is absolutely clueless, controlling and useless theyve lost thousands in buisness as there is no way ill be buying solar batteries from them now Later update: If you want to be misinformed, lied to, berated surprised with things you didn't agree to nearly 2 weeks after the finish date and still be waiting on being finished when its been nearly a month after the finish date. Then this is the abysmal excuse of a company to use. Following greenhomes reply: currently more bs! I am not satisfied at all, currently trying to reach a compensation compromise which is a lowball solution from me desperate to lower my bills as theyve gone up about 118% annually. (Which ive been waiting weeks for to be put in writing) In regards to the operation staff the pipework they put in (as my hotwater tank stupidly got put outside against my wishes) froze this winter which hasn't happened ever living in this house. They came out to "fix" the issue in which a blowtorch was held to the pipework. Which the pipes froze again the same day nothing else was ever done about it. The work done by Operations was 0 star worthy but I can recognise that they have to follow the offices plan so I don't blame the abillity of the workmen. Colin the electrician threatened to rip my solar if I didn't let him I'm to do unapproved work which was done to a garbage standard, damaged the house and never corrected. And there were 2 other electricians who stormed off when I asked who they were as they weren't in identifiable clothes and let themselves on my property without letting me know and lied saying they had been cussed off the property and that's why they stormed of white knuckling their fists.Later they came back begging to be back on the property after storming off refusing to leave for atleast 20 minutes. The only way I'm ever going to break even with this system that was supposed to save money is to scrap it and start over unfortunately that's out of my budget so I have to find a solution with greenhome There's currently an niceic investigation, an recc investigation and a council enquiry into this job This is one of those situations where the intentional harm inflicted over the last 2 years has been disgusting and they have the cheek to beg yet again for a review change. (Which is not the first time over the 2 years) I wish now and always that I never entertained the salesman who promised I'd save money at no cost

Jul 01,2023Just had my Solar panels and battery installed today by Green Home Systems from Irvine. From initial consultation with Andy Naismith through the paperwork challenge with Home energy Scotland to the installation today everyone at GHS was excellent. 3 chaps today installed 14 panels and battery in rain, cleaned everything, explained everything, checked and rechecked everything wow thank you guys! App working and I’m now sitting watching energy generation and usage.

If we were unsure about anything or had any questions Michael was always quick to reply even outside office hours. The team that installed the panels were very efficient , professional and tidy. The electricians had to problem solve as the house is challenging in its layout. They discussed the options and they also carried out the work efficiently and professionally. We can highly recommend the company and their workforce.

Jun 27,2023My solar panels and battery were installed 2 weeks ago by Green Home Systems. The customer service received from Michael throughout the installation was excellent. All staff (from sales team to installation team) were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional throughout. Any questions which I had – and there were many! – were fully answered promptly which I very much appreciated. During installation, the team kept me fully informed of the ongoing work and my solar panels and battery installation was completed in a day. Any minor issues which arose after installation were very quickly resolved. All stages of the process from start to finish were fully explained – although I would have liked a little bit more information about post-installation. For example, had I known that I required a SMART meter in order to maximise my solar system, I could have researched this aspect earlier. Whilst I very much appreciated the advice given regarding HES – which was advocated by Green Home Systems – the funding, unfortunately, was not in place prior to installation – despite my best efforts!! I had been assured that this would not be a problem. However, I was stunned to be told that payment of the invoice was due in 10 working days from the date of the invoice!! This was extremely disappointing especially since Green Home Systems themselves, had recommended HES. However, this issue was resolved. Overall, I am extremely happy with the work carried out by Green Home Systems (and their customer services team). Consequently, I would absolutely recommend (and trust) Green Home Systems for solar panel and battery installation. I would not hesitate to return to Green Home Systems for any future work required.

Apr 18,2023From the first phone call enquiry I made to GHS I felt in safe and trusted hands. What could have been a tricky experience turned out smoothly. The surveyors and particularly the installers were very professional, arriving on time and completing the work on the day , giving me a verbal report of the work. The contacts at the firm were very friendly and extremely helpful, by email and on phone calls. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Green Home Systems to friends and neighbours , and in fact, I already have!

There were a couple of challenges but they were patient and went the extra mile to ensure the finished result was tidy and mess free. My brother's father in law had already spoken to me anpit the same installation and I had absolutely no hesitation in recommending Green Home Systems.

Mar 21,2023Scottish Power replaced my Smet1 with Smet2 meters recently and afterwards the ihd was showing a power draw of more than 4kw with all appliances switched off! The engineer said it was nothing to do with the meter change and I should contact the solar power installers. I contacted Connor at Greenhome Systems who immediately diagnosed the problem. The SP engineer had replaced the ct clip with the arrow pointing the wrong way. I put it on the right way round, problem solved. I have always found this company helpful with any issues I have had and I highly recommend them.

Nov 30,2022Selected this company after a lot of on-line research into potential suppliers in the area. Did due diligence on the company and officers and asked for independent testimonials and references. Satisfied with these, I contacted the company and explored the options for what I needed from a solar power and battery installation. We refined the scope of supply and agreed a price. A pre-contract review meeting finalised matters and we signed a contract. The company delivered the system in a timely and professional manner. There were some internal communication wrinkles along the way which I kept close to, requesting improved and joined up working, but I am pleased with result.

Aug 18,2023Highly recommend! Guys were on time, knew their stuff re checking gas appliances etc, even kindly moved our heavy planters for us before starting. Job completed and tidied up before we knew it with everything back in place. Guarantee & insurance certificates received by email next day. Very professional (and cheery)!!
