The Green Home team arrived on time, and did a superb installation. They were polite, informed us every step of the way about what they were doing and why, were very tidy and cleaned up at the end of each visit (they needed to come twice to complete the install). They were excellent.

They arrived exactly when they said they would, the lad put protective covers over the flooring and tidied up after the job was complete. From David who arranged and costed the job, to the lad who installed the insulation to Joanne who completed the invoice and documentation, they could not have done more. They were polite, courteous and professional in their approach. I would and will be recommending Green Home Systems to friends and family.

Just wanted to say the work carried out was done in a professional manner and Id happily recommend Green Homes Systems for doing a good Job, they have good staff who do a thorough job from start to finish.

Oct 22,2022I'd pretty much echo what the reviewer on 11th October said. From the outset GHS were approachable, responsive, gave me sound advice and a reasonable price for solar pv + battery install. The guys came and did the work quickly, neatly and safely. The system worked first time with no return visits required for snagging etc. Even in fairly poor October weather I've so far managed to generate about 55% of my electrical use. So in terms of system specification, fitter competence and quality of installation I'd definitely recommend GHS. However, what they do not tell you at the outset is that their Accounts people will come to you demanding the full remaining balance on the same day installation is completed - even before the HIES guarantee and MCS certificate have been issued, both of which are required for the Energy Saving Trust to even begin their (10 day) process of releasing the final loan payment. So if you don't have ~£7k (in my case) spare sitting in the bank you're either going to need a bridging loan or you'll need to plead for some kind of extension from GHS. To me this puts their Accounts department directly at odds with their Sales approach, which promotes them as "EST friendly". In reality they cannot expect to have it both ways and should be more upfront with their customers after initial contact has been made. In summary: I'd recommend GHS with the substantial caveat that - if you're using government (EST) funding - you'll need plenty of spare cash to hand in the short term.

Oct 12,2022I approached GHS for my PV project as they had carried out exemplary work on my room-in-roof and cavity wall insulation previously. Once again they did not disappoint. I received first rate advice, service, technical wizardry and clean workmanship from the first phone call to the last boot out the front door; I would highly recommend them. My only caution is to watch out for their payment terms. I was greatly disappointed and rather shocked to receive a final invoice specifying payment 1 day from the date of issue. The contract of sale simply stated "payment following final commissioning", as no timescale was specified I assumed that the normal invoice term of 30 days would apply. Oh how wrong I was! As I'm in receipt of a Home Energy Scotland Loan these terms are completely impossible and allow no time for a claim to be submitted, processed or drawn down to permit payment. A phone call to GHS explaining I cannot pay their bill without the loan afforded me a 10 day extension "as a good will gesture". This kind of arrangement and language seems utterly absurd for a company who must surely be receiving a lot of trade through people relying on grant or loan schemes to make such work affordable.

Sep 20,2022I am very pleased I chose Green Home Systems to install internal insulation in my up stairs room. I must thank Declan and Paul for all their hard work and professionalism. Paul and Declan not only installed the insulation they did the joinery work as well and brought in electricians and plumbers when they were needed. Anyone worrying about mess I can confirm they cleaned up every night before leaving. Finally I must thank Gary who plastered the room to a flawless finish. I can highly recommend this team of professionals.

Needn’t have worried, the team were there on time, discussed the job with me and then worked through the day to finish in one day. More than satisfied with the completed work and efficiency of the tradesmen throughout the process. Excellent job. Would highly recommend

All very polite and professional. Tradesmen worked to high standard with no issues. Site manager kept me up to speed every day. Will suggest this company to friends and family.

Sep 01,2022This company installed cavity wall insulation and a new gas boiler at my property under a green deal. The cavity wall was carried out successfully however the fitting of the gas boiler was not carried out satisfactorily. The installing engineer made several mistakes which caused immediate and ongoing problems. I reported these to the company however I never got a satisfactory response till I was put in contact with a director of the company. He understood my problems and explained that the gas engineer was sub contracted and that the firm no longer used him due to his poor workmanship. He agreed to replace my boiler, using a local well respected company, free of charge. He kept in touch during the whole process. Having had my own business I appreciate that despite the best of intentions things can go wrong and not everyone has the same work ethic or standards. So the bottom line is that I would use this company again.

Great communication to set up the works and afterwards to supply the before and after pictures. The works were made possible by the Home Energy Scotland's loan - which took longer to be processed but the folk at Green Home Systems were patient about it - thank you once again for this!

Nov 19,2022The team were efficient and informative. They had some challenges on day 1 with their machinery, but kept me informed and returned promptly the next day to finish the work. The house now holds its heat and I believe the work done will pay for its self within 2 -3 years. Worth getting done.
