Hireup is an NDIS registered online platform for people with disability to find, hire and manage support workers who fit their needs and share their interests.
Just did my first week with Hireup. What a wonderful experience. So much support and information provided by them.
I had been with Hireup for about 5yrs before I left recently. I had msgd so many workers over the years to try and find support for my 24hr care daughter with an ABI and had not found 1 suitable worker. Even though workers put down Specialised Care, etc; I found none who were interested or wanted to put in the extra effort to accommodate my daughter. Some are grossly overweight and just want to amble around and do as little as possible or have the need to sit down all the time. I think this online agency is great for clients who need not much support as none of the workers are checked out except for what papers they can show. From our personal experience definitely wouldn’t recommend this site for anyone needing extra/specialised support, I wasted so much time trying to even get responses from some workers, so have given up using them.

If they bully and harrass and defame their employees with false unfounded accusations (assumptions) with no care to the human, is this the environment you want your PWD in??? All about maybe loosing a dollar, the monetary value is put above human decency and respect... I will not tolerate it and will be vocal!!! Disgraceful business practices.

I have used Hire Up on many occasions. I find the people to be friendly and punctual. Very easy going but also in tune with your specie needs and they cater well for that.
Think I've met some of the best and very worst of workers on Hireup. Hireup staff (call centre) are on the whole untrained, uninformed and ill-informed. Thankfully a lot of staff are on both Hireup and Mable and I can source the great ones at a better price. Hireup don't know how to investigate serious matters in a mature and comprehensive manner, it's like dealing with 9yr olds!! If I had the power to deregister Hireup as an approved NDIS support platform, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
The reason I am giving only 4 stars instead of 5, is that while I am not saying any of the support workers I've interviewed have been bad, so far that I have only found one support worker that's willing to go that extra mile and exchange numbers and actually talk to me as a friend, not saying that any of the others are bad, it's just nice to have someone willing to go that extra mile and offer to talk to me and treat me as a human being and friend, That's basically my only criticism really, for the most part most people I have bought in for a shift have done what they say they will do, but so far only one support worker I feel I've really been able to connect with, but that just might be how things are. Overall though, the experience has been more positive then negative though!!
