Bianca was wonderful in taking Dion out into the community, supporting him with travel, purchase of tickets & food & epilepsy medication given. Dion has complex needs and she is wonderful in caring for him. Highly recommend Bianca to anybody!
No issues with the carer (daughter gave her 4 out of 5). However, with respect to fees outlined on a PDF on the website they are misleading. I have made several phone calls / spoken to numerous people this morning due to the differences. I engaged a worker yesterday for 4 hours on 16 June 2024 and the PDF on the website provides a different price to the information I was provided with this morning. This was only obtained after I called to query the fees charged. As a person who works with high care needs clients in the disability sector and responsible for helping my daughter with her NDIS budgetting I am aware of what is an appropriate fee, my issue is the fee structure needs to be above board and to reduce any misunderstandings. I fail to understand why Hireup would not see good reason to have the correct charges / fees information for parents on the website. I was only given the correct information upon making enquiries this morning. I now have a copy of a document that clearly shows the correct levels / pay rates etc. The PDF on the website has a fee difference of over $30 difference (I know they pay tax / superannuation etc for the worker), but that still does not explain the reasons behind not putting that information where it can be clearly seen. As the self manager of my daughter's NDIS payments etc I should be provided with the correct rates without having to dig deeper into the website (very misleading in my eyes). The PDF on the website needs to be replaced with the correct document of all levels and costs for the clients, so informed decisions can be made about spending NDIS funds. I was told all workers are level one unless the client wants to pay them an increase in pay. My thoughts are HireUp isn't putting the details provided in the document I was given this morning because they would be concerned they will lose potential clients. It would be very easy to explain the level / pay scale difference on the website to stop confusion. It is misleading to have the uploaded PDF document with very different costs to the one I was charged. FOLLOW UP: I have just received a generic message saying the usual blurb that essentially does absolutely nothing to rectify the issue. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO POINT in sending a response that is generic and does nothing to address the issue. Don't tell people Sorry to hear about your frustration, that is generic without rectifying the issue. Fix the issue
Great staff to work with so far. But some people are not responding when they have read the messages which is annoying and stressful when your needing supports
My first experience with Hire up admin person was excellent as she helped me through registration and ensured I was comfortable with the app. Secondly carer Gene went out of the way during meet and greet to help me with my bookings.Gene is very friendly helpful and punctual and keeps me posted about the times he drops Kunal to the community or when he reaches to pick him up.I can trust him to care for my son
Hireup might be great for the workers but is a terrible experience for disabled clients. It used to be OK but has gone downhill fast in terms of quality of staff and finding workers that will actually stick around. In my experience over 18 months workers are only on the platform for for a short while until they finish studying or they retire or move or something. Then the process starts all over again. It's exhausting and depressing to have to keep trying to find new people. I'm often left without support for weeks. Would not recommend.
I had no prior experience of working in disability sector. However, I got a start up through the Hireup without referees. I don't have significant friends already been working for disability. Need to increase hours per week.
Okey-dokey
The app is very easy to use I can text my clients straight from the app and am paid direct to bank account never a problem
I enjoy the flexibility of the jobs.
Great app very user friendly and even better employee support with prompt help and very informative.
I have tried other agencies, but this one is so thorough and helpful. So far I am very happy with the carer provided and the general admin procedures. I highly recommend this agency .
Have found a couple of great SWs through Hireup but am worried about retaining them. Emailed Hireup about a problem with the app on Monday which means our support worker can’t get paid properly. It’s been 3 days and still no response. Have checked that I definitely sent the message and also checked my spam mail.
I like the fact hire up actually contacts us support workers and also help !! Can't say that about other companies . Yes some pay more but the support isn't there . So well done hire up !!
Good business and well ran. The support services i recieved were amazing. THanks
Positive experiences Having providers enables work in otherwise low demand areas. Pay documentation is comprehensive, accurate and very useful
