I have found hire up communication with me to be supportive helpful and professional. The frustrating things about Hire up and the platform are, there does not seem to be as many support opportunities as hoped in my chosen area. When responding to clients posts for support and writing short covering letters to go with response, you don’t get. Any type of responses of communication and left in the dark. Even if a client has another party managing their need requests. Finally so much of the posts for support are for gardening or house cleaning for an hour or a vacate clean with short time frames. I feel this support needs to firstly have more information to it and pictures so the hire upper can ascertain roughly how long it will take. And I also feel this sort of assistance is better suited to. Platform like Airtasker and would be cheaper.

Applying for Hireup was an easy process. I really appreciate the flexibility and casual nature of the job which allows me to choose shifts that work for me.
Hireup Team appears to be professional and attentive. The staff i have had the pleasure of speaking to have been wonderful. The lack of work advertised on their platform for support workers to apply for is where this is lacking. There is no way a support worker could solely rely on this platform for a steady income.

It’s just such an easy app to navigate. Everything is really user friendly and I haven’t had any problems.
I had to register to be able to look at their site, and noted that I could call to find out more, and planned to do so when I was not so busy. But then the unsolicited phone calls started, followed by unsolicited emails, including asking for a rating for each unwanted contact. Even when I booked a time for them to call me, and had been told I would be taken off the mailing list, I continued to receive emails all over the weekend, even 8pm Sunday night, asking me to book a call. On 8/11, and 23/11 I emailed saying I was not engaging their services, and to remove me from their database and stop contacting me. Today I received another email from them. Their system of deluging people with unwanted contact, and not responding to requests to stop, is intrusive, insensitive, a cause of stress, and actually illegal in Australia. I like the idea of how they connect client and worker, but am repelled by their pushy arrogance, and wanted to warn others of what will happen if they register.

Our Provider Relationship Manager is awesome, there at a phone call and able to help with the whole process even at short notice. Best thing we did was register with Hireup for when we get stuck providing a service. Workers who have supported us have been professional and reliable.
Fantastic platform for both those seeking assistance and support, and those who want to be independent or prefer to choose their own working hours! Makes the work/life balance very achievable and rewarding! Absolutely on point with how extensive the sign up process is, and the checks getting verified before potential Support Workers can start working!
