I do not recommend this service. After 15 months of highly variable bills, we left Billing Better (Homebox) in December 2023. I had to chase them for our final bill, which we received in February 2024, to find out we had £1.1k of credit, which we still have not been paid almost six months after leaving! This is a considerable sum to be missing, and although we have repeatedly called, they have no idea when we will receive our money as they need it refunded from the Student Energy Group. We were with the student energy group for two months after leaving Billing Better (Homebox) and accrued credit, which they promptly refunded when we went to Octopus Energy (highly recommend), so I am struggling to understand why it is taking so long and am very frustrated with the whole process.

We finished using this company for our energy. Then almost a YEAR later we get emailed a bill with an outstanding balance?? Utterly confusing, borderline scam in my opinion.

I can't stress enough how much better off I would have been paying my own bills... They initially didn't pay my council tax, and gave me no indication that it hadn't been paid, despite saying that it WOULD be. I only found out via a warning letter from the council. This took months to resolve. After moving out of my flat and closing the account, it has taken me 6 MONTHS to get the ~£1300 of credit with Rebel Energy BACK; and I STILL have only received half of this. There's been no apology, when I've asked to speak to managers I've been put on hold and either forgotten about or told after half an hour that the manager/supervisor is too busy. I've not even received a token refund of the fee you pay each month for them to conduct their "helpful" service. Honestly do yourself a favour and go anywhere else but here...

I spoke with Mr. Andres about my moving in and the challenges I was facing, he was attentive, precise and promising. The way he answered and solved all the questions made me wonder how easily he could treat what I thought would be hard to deal with. I must say that I am very much pleased and happy with the services I received from Mr. Andres. Thank you Mr. Andres and keep up the good work

Absolutely terrible. I have been using this company for two months now three. February payment was fine and now March, April they seemingly can't pay my energy company. I have been recieving emails after email demanding I pay the bill and when I send this to homebox, what am I told? "Oh we'll get on this, we're in contact" etc etc. Yet I still recieve these stressful emails about an undue payment for £350 now, and I can't afford it. Not when I'm paying these guys who can't get off their laurels and be honest with me. Can you talk to them via phone? Hardly, you have to make do with a live chat with a bot that is quite frankly useless and a customer service representative who gives you the exact same lip service as last time. I've read reviews and found that this is a similar case for others too! I won't ammend this review until something is ACTUALLY done. Because this is absolutely disgusting.

This company says it pays your bills, it doesn't. Having been left with unpaid bills for 7+ months, I have been paying for a service that isn't being provided, all while having a massively damaging impact to my credit score. I chose to use this service, despite knowing the obvious financial downsides, as it promised to make the process quicker, simpler and easier. It in fact quotes on the website that "we take care of all your bills" and you can "relax while knowing all your bills are being paid". This has been far from the case. This non payment has forced me to spend hours on livechat trying to get this issue sorted but despite my persistence I have received no reason or explanation why this is the case. What I have been told however is that this is being looked into constantly, as well as a collection of unrelated and seemingly made up reasons why this is the case. This has been going on for months now. I find this difficult to believe, yet this has somehow taken 7 months plus, and there is no information when this will come to an end. What is even more disappointing is that the livechat that is apparently available between 9-5 on weekdays, is quite often not operational, meaning there is no option to speak to a human, only to a bot, that I could not describe as useful in any way. This therefore has left me with a number of issues. Not only has this taken up my personal time, something that the company clearly states that is saved by choosing them over other solutions, but also means I am paying for a service every month, in full and on time, only for said service to not be provided by the company. While I have given them every chance to solve this issue, I am starting to lose my patience, with the lack of accurate information, let alone a solution or timescale for this to be fixed. With each month that passes my credit score gets damaged further, impacting me for years to come. I have been forced into having to leave a review, as it has got to the point where this is only potential way for someone to actually listen to my issues, and actually act to do something about it. In short, please do not use this company, it has been a awful experience for me, from failing to do the task I am paying them for, to terrible customer service, there really isn't anything to compliment, and could not wish this experience on anyone else. Please avoid and look elsewhere. UPDATE: It is now over 2 weeks since I left this review. As you can see I was promised communication about how this matter was to be resolved, however I am yet to receive anything meaningful other than a generic reply, the same as the ones I have been receiving for months. It feels as if nothing will be done, and I am being forced to consider my options, including any potential escalation, in order to protect myself both financially and legally from issues in the present and future. Again, please please don't use, just do it yourself!

Keep on taking my Gas and Electricity + Water supply from my existing suppliers, despite assurances that 'my' properties would be exempt. When the problem reoccurs, "Oh, so and so had left and didn't mark it on the system etc" but then the same issue happens again. Benefit of the doubt, but you guessed it - happens again continuously Completely inept and ridiculous, unprofessional and are causing a huge headache for something that should be so simple.
