Awful company. I paid via direct debit every month to them to cover all my bills. I then get notifications from energy suppliers saying they haven’t been paid. I moved out of the property in September last year and promptly cancelled my agreement with them. I have only just received a bill from another energy company saying that I was still at the property. I have asked multiple times for them to provide a statement of my payments be the payments that went to the suppliers which they have failed to do. Avoid at all costs! You will be much better off managing your own bills.
This is a SCAM company, they gonna charge you but would NOT pay your bills to suppliers. Avoid them as far as you can. It would take ages to get your money back from them. Some of my neighbors got fines for late payments as this company do not pay to suppliers People's credit score went down drastically as they don't pay bill as they promise. AVOID THEM
Saying energy is unlimited but then bill from another company is coming separately for sum lump for heating . Isn’t heating included in energy ? Or it’s some kind of different energy?!
I've never written a TrustPilot review previously, but my experience has been so poor I felt the urge to do so. I've been paying direct debits every month and uploading bills every month as requested, with payment references being added to my account indicating bills have been paid. Last month I found out that these bills hadn't actually been paid and debt collectors were going to come to my flat. Not only is this incredibly stressful but can have all sort of long term implications for my credit score. I got in contact with HomeBox about this two weeks ago - they original said they would CC me in an email with the company so I can know for certain they are in contact due to the urgency of the matter. After still not being CCed in the email for a week, I've tried to contact their team multiple times to get access to my accounts & full recording on payments in & out of my account so I can make sense of this mess. I am still yet to hear anything back and quite frankly am being ignored. I have no idea what my rights are here but I will be considering escalating this further if I don't hear back soon. This morning they finally pay one of the bills & state that my payments have gone up £100 - still without any transparency over how much money has gone in & out of my accounts, or any other bills that are outstanding. Honestly this has been one of the most strangest and frustrating experiences I have ever had. I would strongly recommend anyone considering using HomeBox to just invest that initial time setting up bills & direct debits yourself to save yourself a huge amount of stress, maintenance and hassle later on - let alone the money you save too!
Not good ! They are such a headache to deal with and will not find you anywhere near the cheapest price for you. You will be expected to be doing all the legwork to find a cheaper price and by that point what is the point of all of this ? Waste of time and they charge the £20 management fee…. For what ?

Absolute thieves, every one of them, for months we tried to sort out an outstanding debt for our utilities and despite all of our best efforts to pay it off and get everything sorted, home box thought it was okay to never return our calls, be extremely useless even if they did pick up the phone as it’s very clear the company had no idea what it means to pass on information, either that or they are very obviously trying to scam and fraud everyone they can get their hands on. On multiple occasions despite having paid our bills, they would take our wifi and other services down for ‘unpaid bills’ I cannot stress this enough, do not sign up with these scumbags or they will steal every bit of money you have. I’d bet money that home box will reply to this review seeming like they want to help but will do absolutely nothing to help you, they have the hands down most useless and iq deficient customer service team in the world

Since my move to the UK in December 2023, my experience with Homebox UK, recommended by pleaseconnectme, has been nothing short of a nightmare. This service might appeal to those who prefer to remain in the dark about their individual bill details and mysterious deductions from their accounts. Homebox's portal fails miserably at providing transparent information regarding payments made to various service providers. The options for Gas and Electricity are not only severely limited but are also misleadingly marketed as the most economical choices, a claim that proved to be far from the truth in my experience. To add insult to injury, the energy company does not provide direct billing, instead sending only a business-to-business invoice to Homebox. Attempting to obtain a detailed breakdown of charges from customer service turns into an endless wait—I'm still pending a breakdown for December 2024. I strongly advise anyone considering Homebox to meticulously review their termination policy before committing. This service has been a massive letdown, and I urge potential customers to look elsewhere for their utility management needs or even better do it urself.
