Really great experience with Howards DS. Brought my car is for a diagnostic and turns out there was other bits to be done, Steffi and Dan went through everything with me clearly and got it all done in a couple of days. It was really handy having the vehicle health check sent through as I was able to see what was wrong with my car. Would definitely would go back.
Since taking delivery of my car in March 2020, Sophie James (Nissan Sales) has occasionally kept in touch. Knowing I want another X-Trail she offered me an immediate test drive as soon as the new model came out, even though she knows I cannot have one until at least March next year. Great service. When we went a couple of days ago, we had just started to look for a new car for my wife (we were actually looking for another KIA, but had seen one not local to us). Whilst at Howards last week we asked Sophie, just in passing, what Nissan offered. Whilst we drove the X-Trail Sophie found us a much better car than we were looking at or even expected, with a deal that really pleased us. As further proof of Howards superb customer care, Sophie had remembered we have a caravan and so directed us towards a car that already had a towbar fitted, thus saving us money in the future. She organised Nissan Finance easily, which benefits us with the next two services being free to us. What more can you ask? It is even the perfect colour! We collected the car today, 4 days later. It is also worth praising Howards for the fact that you are never pressurised into anything. They offer you extras and if you do not want them, the matter is left there. It is so unusual and refreshing to be treated with respect and care, and not pushed. As we walked into the showroom this afternoon to collect my wife's car, the service receptionist gave me a really big smile and said, "Hello, Mr Madeley". They are so hot on customer service. This is the 3rd car from Howards, Weston-super-Mare (1 Kia and 2 Nissans) and I shall certainly be back early next year to order the next one. Why would you even bother going anywhere else? No point.
I bought a 6 month old car from Howards. I’m at the other end of the country but I was sent a very clear video of the car. I was also sent a more detailed video before delivery. The whole process was very straight forward from start to finish. I dealt with Lorenzo throughout who was very helpful and extremely professional.
Just purchased MG Hs Hybrid and I must congratulate Charlie for his professional and persistent attitude. There were a lot of negotiations and options which he successfully navigated through before our final agreement. He did well and is a credit to the dealership.
I initially left a bad review of Howards Nissan WSM. After the car I was sold broke down and I have had to take it back numerous times over the short time I have had it, which has been incredibility annoying especially after I was told by the salesman that the car, I bought was a 'good example' of its type. I felt ripped off and left with an unreliable car just months after I had bought it. Since the review I have had contact from the manager who has given me a good level of customer service and made the price hike slightly worth it. They have taken the car back and said they will have another look at it. Overall, I response from Howards Nissan WSM has been professional. I do feel that there are discrepancies between the sales patter and the product, since the car I was sold broke down. The communication between staff is also pretty poor after I have had to correct things or been given incorrect information. I do get the impression customers are fobbed off if they can be. My warranty has been extended by another year I am just hoping I won't need it.
From the first moment we got to Howard's Peugeot we were felt comfortable with no pushy sales staff rushing to us, We were able to look around at our own pace, After 20 or 30 minutes a lovely young lady approached us and introduced herself to us, Told us she was Elisha asked if we needed assistance to which we advised we were still looking around, Elisha told us where to find her if we needed any help and left us to carry on looking, We left soon after but decided to return to test drive a 3008 a few days later, Again it was Elisha who sorted this and dealt with all my questions in a very professional and none pushy manner, After deciding to purchase the car we received nothing but 5 star treatment with no questions or assistance being too much trouble for them even after the car had been delivered I can not praise them enough with a special thanks to Elisha and Mike

I visited the showroom with a vague idea of what I wanted from my next car and was greeted and looked after by Simon throughout. With immense patience (over 2 to 3 hours) he looked after me very well and 'steered' me in the right direction. My intention was to move away from my usual run of small SUV's (owned Nissan Jukes for over 9 years) so I test drove a C3 and then looked at a Peugeot 208 just for a change of style. But it wasn't until Simon suggested I drive a C3 Aircross that I felt that this was the car for me, sometimes you need to try something different to confirm that your original choice was right after-all. The buying process was done very efficiently and Simon was happy to answer any questions I may of had, on collection day the only minor hiccup was that the contract for my service plan wasn't sent back immediately - through no fault of the dealership, Citroen UK took a couple of days and I received it via email straight away. I can't fault Simons service, being always polite and helpful and answering my emails promptly. The one single suggestion for improvement I have is regarding how the number plates are fixed, I noticed in the showroom that standard un-covered screws with semi-transparent washers behind were used - this to me not only looks cheap and a little ugly but is also less secure (last year 53400 number plates were stolen and were used by criminals to commit offenses). Therefore I went to Halfords and spent £2.99 on a pack of clutch screws with number plate coloured caps. The plates didn't have any anti-theft adhesive pads behind them either (the cars I've owned in the past had these as well so that the number plate would snap if its removal was attempted). Also the front plate had one white and one yellow washer instead of them both being white. This gave me the impression of corners being cut and lack of care, I guess some people wouldn't notice or think anything of it. I'm glad I changed them as everytime I looked at the car my eyes were drawn to them and I couldn't be fully happy until they were changed, they now blend in and the car looks much better for it. It's surprising how such a small detail can have a big impact, the car has a more premium/quality/finished off with care look!

This review has been shortened several times as the journey to finding the perfect car was very long.. on this journey with me was Brad I have bought Peugeots for nearly 30 years .. but this time it was both a test to his patience and perseverance - however he displayed both along with quiet professional friendliness .. i put down a deposit on the first.. then had an issue - unrelated to my purchase - which created a proper sulk and change of mind - Brad gave me a safe space to have my hissy fit and a chance to cool off before making an informed decision about that first car - i decided to go with a different one and in the moment it took me to reach that decision it sold online... one thing I knew.. i wanted a car and Brad wanted to find me the right one.... and he did... it took simply ages (well 10 days) to arrive but I am delighted with it... it fits my needs exactly ... remember the first one? it was pointed out by family it really only suited my dogs needs..... (and this is what I had highlighted) this one fits us both. Taunton Peugeot come very highly recommended by me and Brad in particular went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy and had the right car for my pocket and my needs. I appreciate the whole team who have been supportive
Needs better parts back up rang up for part for van . All I got was automated phone message to email the part I needed. I emailed them with little response. Come on pull your finger out howards
I had up until the time I arrived at Howards Used car centre in Yeovil, had a positive helpful professional experience from this Motor trader, with most of my contact in Taunton - Howards Citroen, Howards Peugeot. However, it soon became apparent that, the car I made an effort to travel to go and view and potentially test drive etc, was far from ideal to be considered Franchised approved both mechanically, and Cosmetically. My friend and I spent a reasonable time checking over the vehicle which, for a 2017 used Peugeot, with 45.5K miles on the clock I would of expected better. All alloy wheels were very badly kerbed with the 2 front alloys being the worst, a bit more visual checks revealed a very nasty deep scratch on the passenger rear door, in my book this was itching to be sorted asap as was the flaking paint around the front whell arches. Upon taking the vehicle for a short test drive, (salesman quoted 30 minutes) it would become obvious that the steering felt somewhat heavy, but this did not immediately phase me, since I already knew they would get the car checked in the workshop prior to the potential sale/handover, hmm was it slightly deflated tyres or was it a worn out steering pump who knows... I was made aware prior to the test drive that the price had been reduced that very day, and there was less money in their kitty to address any defects with the vehicle! So having test drove the vehicle upon our return to Howards used car centre, we started to negotiate and talk business... (Ps The boss lady had the final say on this day) I was told that the wheels would have to be done at cost to me, and the awful deep scratch on the rear door, would not be dealt with in the body shop, and would be at best dealt with by a man who just does minor dents and scratches - Mr Chips :) So a few days went by and, Steve sent me a short presentation video that clearly demonstrated that because they didn't have the budget having "dramatically" reduced the price, this scratch was as good as it gets! (Alarm bells lol) The vehicle was not even valeted, which often a car dealer will tell you that they have only just taken the vehicle in part exchange and haven't had chance to clean it, what a poor excuse, for such a large company? Best to not advertise cars unless they are fit for a viewing I say. So at this stage, I had already paid Howards a £500 deposit, that I was told at the time was non refundable, not the usual £99 deposit then on this occasion :( In fact, what I also wanted to mention is, Steve the salesman wanted to bring to my attention Howards sophisticated customer database tech that basically tracks each and every customers tracks within the Howards Motor Group company. He said on such occasion you visited this branch and showed an interest and withdrew from sale, and you enquired about this car but never followed it through etc.. Big brother eh? To give you the reader a slight insight into my dealings, I initially looked at a Peugeot 308 GT line at Howards Peugeot in Taunton, that seemed like a ok car which had 45.5k miles on the clock at almost 14k asking price. They agreed to lend me a courtesy car whilst I was waiting for some inheritance money from my late father who sadly passed away this year, and I was confident the money would be available at a said date, so with this in mind they lent me a car. Unfortunately, there was a miscalculation and without delay, I informed my point of contact Elisha, and we agreed on the return of the courtesy car. Sadly this is a gamble any main car dealer takes when nothing is written in stone, naturally I was only too glad of the assistance they offered me. I did attempt to reselect at this dealership but was told they had nothing in stock that was going to suit my requirements. As a result I found myself without a vehicle which was not ideal so eventually after a lot of stress, I ended up purchasing a vehicle from another main dealer in Devon. Knowing that I have had a good experience even when my late father was alive we used to take his motability vehicle to Howards Citroen where they always looked after us pretty well. So it is such a shame that I have had such a negative experience with Howards used car centre in Yeovil. I would say that the boss needs to be careful reducing car prices to the point where they have no funds to address defects with the cars for sale.
We bought a car from Damien today (we don't collect it for a couple of weeks so I may have to leave another review then!). Damien (Howards Citroen) was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
Today we picked up our new Citreon EC4 from Weston Super Mare. Our sales buddy was Damon…just have to say it was an absolute pleasure to deal with him. Nothing was too much bother, (he even stayed after hours) to help us. No pressure sales at all, just good honest advice and lots of banter thrown in as well. Look forward to catching up with you Damon, when you ring in a day or so. Thanks again, we anticipate many happy hours in our new car 😃

1st ever visit today to howards.booked my motorhome in for a airbag issue.on arrival was told there was a recall to be done also.left it there and really pleased when they phoned around 3 and advised all done and repaired..on collection the service adviser was fantastic answered all my questions and was very helpful and friendly..the all round service I received from howards peugeot taunton is superb and I'm happy to recommend this dealer to everyone.. thank you howards for a fab job and fixing my pride and joy
I've just had my car returned from its first service For medical reasons at present neither my wife or I can drive. We arranged pick up and return by Howards Hyundai Taunton. The driver who collected and retrned our car was courteous proffessional and friendly The service helpdesk was equally friendly in the booking process and after service communication in what could have been a stressfull situation they made it easy and carefree. I also received a video of the safety check they carried out All in all a wonderfull experience
