Howkins & Harrison Daventry. The Daventry office is a superb estate agent. Jenny and Andy gave us wonderful support through stressful times.
Thanks Jenny & Andy for your professional service enabling a smooth sale of our property - just great!
Professional, helpful, calm, honest opinions, knowledgeable, very kind and friendly staff-Karen, Martin and Kelly. Chose Howkins and Harrison, not only because of the above reasons, but for other dealings with their Rugby branch a few years ago, where I found staff very helpful and fair. All had a capacity to understand the difficulty of selling a family home after a sad bereavement.
Very Friendly, helpful staff. Kept me informed all along and went the extra mile to ensure that the purchase went ahead. Excellent liaison between the buyer and myself. I’d highly recommend this agent.
We could not fault Howkins and Harrison when they acted for us to sell our property. Their market knowledge and dedication were a true credit to them and I have absolutely no qualms whatsoever in recommending them to any future sellers who are looking for an agent to act on their behalf. The one real attribute that sets them above all other agent we have had dealings with in the past is that “THEY CARE PASSIONATELY ABOUT THEIR ROLE AND ALWAYS HAVE THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE CLIENT AT HEART”. We were never left in the dark and were contacted regularly to update us on the sale progress. Well done Howkins and Harrison but I really must single out Christopher Ollerenshaw for his professionalism and dedication. Malcolm Turner
The ultimate professional service, do not go anywhere else.
Quick to get the house on the market and arrange viewings which were all accompanied. Very helpful especially during the difficult negotiation period.
The house sale was well launched and Howkins found a suitable buyer in an acceptable period. Although only a 4 party chain, the sale process was very awkward, particularly coping with a party who had used inferior agents (Purple Bricks) and low cost legal services. They were a nightmare to work with (wouldn't communicate, lost documents, etc.). The success of the sale (for us and the whole chain) was very largely down to the persistence, patience and effort input by Beth and Alison in the Lutterworth branch. Well done!
We had quite a complicated sale & Chris at Howkins was very good and kept all parties informed throughout the process. Very good & very helpfully. Thanks.
A great company to deal with from start to finish...very professional!
Awful experience with the Northampton branch. Its nearly been a month since i left the rented property and i still haven't received my deposit back. They said they would have it sent to me last week but then they 'missed the cut off'. They are so keen to get it the deposit off of you before you can move in, but they are more then happy to keep your money! Will never use the company again!
I had a great experience with Howkins & Harrison. They were always at the other end of the phone or email. Also. they kept me informed every step of the way. I was very happy with the services they provided.
Karen and the other staff where all extremely helpful. Coming out to unlock when we needed them and making sure progress on buying the house was continuing. A very friendly and thorough service- highly recommended.
Purchase of a house: Generally we have low opinions of estate agents, so its very brave of this agent to ask for our review! This is our personal experience for this purchase, so might not reflect everyone else's experience of this agent. We have made 4 purchases and 4 sales so have some relevant experience in this arena. Positives: For the offer process and after our offer was accepted the office team were brilliant, very helpful and prompt in answering enquiries, this continued right through until exchange - in this area we would have provided 4 maybe 5 stars without hesitation except for a big issue. On final our inspection the house was found to have massive hole in the floor, we were not told about this although it was known about. When we tried to renegotiate the agent was rather rude, which let down the scoring here. Negatives: What let everything down was the viewing experience. The person (although pleasant) sent to conduct the viewing had, or offered no information whatsoever about the property. As an potential customer this left us with the thought "if we had paid for this agent to sell OUR house would we be happy?" as there was no "Upselling" or attempt to "sell" the property and obtain the highest possible price. So as a selling agent we think there is room to improve. On the final viewing (when we found the hole in the floor) we were met with a similar negative experience, feeling fobbed off and been a nuisance. Secondly the house was marketed well before is was legally ready to sell, resulting in a long delay in the purchase. The house Title was not correct, the vendor did not have the right authority to sell and there was a charge (mortgage) on the property that was not revealed until the last minute. Therefore as an agent they should have applied proper checks and advised the seller and purchaser of this at an early stage. Summary: If you are a buyer then you will find an average agent so not a problem, and you might get a good deal as there is no "up-selling" going on! But you have to take a big leap of faith all is well and do a lot of homework yourself. Don't expect a car salesman's welcome and charm at the property either! As a seller we would probably ask them for a valuation, but would be really insistent we would be paying for them actually do the salesman's part in the "selling of our house" before using them as a selling agent. As we first said, this was our experience and might be unique, so give them a try but make sure you are clear on what you expect.
Great service and friendly helpful team, would recommend
Great experience with this agent, from the first viewing through top completion, would like to highlight Christopher Ollrenshaw who was extremely good at ironing out both vendor and solicitor related issues along the way.
Can not fault the team at Towcester and their help and direction with my house sale . Realistic and encouraging, marketing coverage was good as was quality of brochure and photos . If you are looking to sell or buy property I would not hesitate in recommending them
What an amazing estate agents! So professional from start to end. Fantastic photos of the property taken for marketing, frequent updates with regards to viewings and interest in the property and all staff members were on the ball and knew what was happening with the sale of my property. They took the stress out of selling our home. Would strongly recommend using this estate agents.

Nov 06,2019Have recently sold my house through the Ashby De La Zouch residential sales branch. They were absolutely amazing from the initial valuation through to completion. From the day my house went online to the day I moved out was 7 weeks. Have to mention Jackie in particular as she was wonderful to deal with. It was never a bother when I asked questions and she was always friendly and professional, she is a real asset.
