Aug 20,2022Ionian have been wonderful helping us in every way to create our perfect day! Our wedding day was everything we wanted and more, absolutely perfect in fact and that’s all thanks to Rachel who was our wedding planner in the Uk and then Sofia and Stella who were the wedding planners who took over in santorini and stayed for the whole wedding to make sure everything ran smoothly! We looked online at so many wedding planners to help with our wedding abroad but from the first contact with Ionian we felt reassured we made the right decision and so thankful we chose them! They made it so easy for us and we chose everything from their recommended suppliers and it was all perfect! Couldn’t recommend them enough! X

Aug 19,2022Amazing service! When we knew we wanted to get married in italy we were initially daunted by the administration it would involve making sure the documents were correct. After finding Ionian they made this so easy for us and we cannot thank them enough! Right from the start through all the planning process they have been there to make sure all the finer details have been put in place to create the most incredible day. Our wedding planner Lindsay was exceptionally helpful and quick to respond to any of our queries in the lead up to the wedding. The wedding day itself ran flawlessly with Viola and Ana looking after our guests and giving us nothing to do other than enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend contacting this great team if you are thinking of planning a wedding in Italy.

Aug 12,2022What an amazing experience with ionian. I was apprehensive about arranging a wedding abroad I had no idea where to start or what I needed to do. I scrolled through many many websites looking at wedding planners and venues ect. I exchanged emails with a lot of companies but I never really felt comfortable until I spoke to Cassie at ionian weddings. She made me feel comfortable at ease and answered every question I had which was a lot. I decided to go with ionian and from start to finish I can not even start to explain how easy it all was. Rachel was my planner and she must have the patience of a Saint. I changed my mind so many times as so many things all the time and she answered so nicely every time. I was worried about how easy it had all being and thought this is too good to be true. I was expecting something to go wrong. The brochure they give you is really easy to look through and you just pick what you want at the wedding and how you want it setting up and they do the rest. I arrived in santorni and met with Sofia and Stella who went through everything with me showed me around the venues and answered all my questions. They were both fantastic and I was blown away by the venue. The wedding day went absolutely perfect everything on time in the right place not one thing went wrong or worried me. I had a fantastic day and so did all my guests. Ionian even helped me with advice on boat trips ect. I can not thank you enough for making my day all i had ever dreamed of. Thank you so much.

Aug 08,2022Pestana Viking wedding 2022 Algarve We cannot thank Ionian Weddings enough! From starting to plan our wedding back in 2018 for 2020 they was professional and nothing was too much trouble. After postponing in 2020 due to covid everything was rearranged to what we wanted! Then with 5 days to go for our 2021 wedding the restrictions for covid changed in Portugal and we had to postpone Again! Everything was moved over and dates changed again! Maria our planner in the UK rang us and kept in contact even outside her working hours. We never had to wait for a reply. The wedding finally took place 20th July 2022 and We was amazed! The setting the scenery was unreal! Having our pre wedding meeting at the venue and quickly having to rearrange table seating plans and add a couple of people on was not an issue. Our wedding planner in Portugal Marta was brilliant! Walked us through the day, took us to the registry office and made sure our day was Perfect! From start to finish nothing was too much trouble. Maria emailed and kept in contact whilst she was on annual leave to congratulate us and gave us updates regarding pictures, we received a preview of 20 pictures from the photographer within 1wk which then we could share at our home party! Honestly these last 3 years would of caused so much stress if we never used Ionian weddings! Everything went so smooth and we had the best day ever! All guests were amazed by the whole day. Aug 04,2022Our dream wedding From the initial questionnaire to postponing the wedding due to covid and then having the most perfect day I honestly couldn’t have done it without Ionian weddings and my UK planner Helen and Cypriot wedding planner Belinda. Honestly these girls made this day possible and without them I honestly wouldn’t have known where to begin. No question was unanswered and the level of detail to everything was spectacular. I had never seen my venue or even considered Cyprus until I completed the questionnaire and was given a list of different venue they recommended to fit my style, budget and number of guests and I honestly think they hit the nail in the head because my venue and location was more than we could have ever imagined it was perfect and so us!! When postponing I was worried that the suppliers that I had booked would not have my new date however Helen made sure all my suppliers were available and I can honestly say The process was so seamless.

Aug 03,2022Sorrento Wedding Booking a wedding abroad requires you to have a lot of faith in your planners. Something I had my reservations about when I first booked it. However, Ionian weddings have given me a wedding that has surpassed and exceeded anything I had imagined. From start to finish, the process was made less stressful by the communication and information provided to me. You received an extensive booklet that allows you to view what is on offer and you simply fill in a form with any additions you would like on your big day. After that, the planners will go away and get you a revised price. It was always easy and done without stress. I ended up doing these forms 3 times due to COVID and each time it wasn’t too tasking. Furthermore, Ionian were very understanding and empathetic when it came to payment during COVID and they even delayed payment up to 6 weeks before the big day. When we made the decision to postpone, due to COVID, they offered us dates very quickly and if it wasn’t for their quick communication, we would have missed out on the date and time we wanted. Lindsay was our home wedding planner and she was quick to communicate,chased and answered the endless queries I had and supported us when documentation wasn’t approved. She sent through detailed itineraries for the day and even went on to arranging a private boat trip for some of the wedding party. She was fantastic! When we arrived in Italy, we met Viola. She was fantastic too! As soon as I landed, she messaged me. We met Viola twice and she showed us the suppliers, venues and showed us how the day would run. Viola was kind, caring and always greeted us with a smile. She really put me at ease! On the day, she was amazing. She was quick to respond if anything needed to be done and I cannot thank her enough. The wedding looked amazing and I was so impressed by everything. When you book an abroad wedding, you really don’t know what you are getting until you get there. It was impossible for us to visit the venues before hand because of Covid so we put our faith in Ionian. They delivered and made our day something truly amazing. Both venues (Cloisters and Castore) were amazing. The food was delicious and they really went above and beyond for us and our guests. I would 100% recommend them. Aug 02,2022Ionian weddings have been absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They have supported us every step of the way, through covid and so much more. Maria has been fantastic, answering all emails in detail and quickly. Nothing was too big or too small. The whole team in Sorrento, especially Rosaria, were absolutely brilliant. They honestly made sure it was the best day of our lives. I wish we could do it all again.

Aug 01,2022I don’t even know where to begin! Lindsay and Valeria were just the most amazing and supportive wedding planners! Nothing was too much trouble and they really had a handle on the whole day. From the first phone call I felt at ease with Ionian weddings. Their knowledge and options provided were fantastic and their flexibility was what we needed when I changed my mind near the end 🙊 During the planning, we dealt mostly with Lindsay who was always on the end of a phone if needed. She would remind me of important dates and deadlines and even when we had a hiccup with the documents nothing caused her to panic. She helped keep us both calm and knew we were in safe hands When we arrived in Sorrento, Valeria took over. We had our pre wedding meeting and she took a us the the florist and then venues and throughout the whole thing she said ‘don’t worry about it because I’ll be there’ and she really was. Everyone who attended commented on how smooth Valeria made the day feel and was on hand to help. The day after we had a small dinner at the Lemon Gardens which they helped plan and when we arrived we were given a few bottles of wine from Ionian weddings to celebrate with which I thought was a really nice touch. I would not have been able to manage booking a wedding abroad without them. They really are the best! Thank you so much for everything. I don’t think we will ever get over how perfect our day was

Jul 21,2022We got married on the 8th June 2022 at Firostefani Terrace-Dana Villas on the beautiful island of Santorini. We had the most amazing time and it went better than we could’ve ever imagined. Our wedding planner Rachel was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions in the lead up, and the process of booking everything we wanted was so simple. My now husband and I were able to visit the venue a couple of days before which was lovely as we had time to soak up the breathtaking view on our own and we also got to meet the coordinators who ran through timings and really put our minds at rest. A massive thank you to our harpist and photographer who were absolutely incredible. Would highly recommend a wedding with Ionian!

Jul 19,2022We got married in Santorini at Cavo Ventus Villa followed by a reception at Theros Wave Bar in June and cannot thank Ionian Weddings enough! At first, we were unsure whether to have a wedding planner but we had no clue where to start and Ionian helped cover everything. The planning was made so simple and seemed stress free, we felt so reassured leaving the planning in Rachel’s hands! I am sooo glad we got a wedding planner, as I had underestimated how much work was involved and did not have the reliable contacts that Ionian did. Everything was so beautiful - the cake, flowers, views, food and drink, both venues and the decorations ☺️. Our day really was everything we wanted and more! I did worry a little in the run up how things would go timeline wise, but we were so pleased with how smoothly the day ran and how little we had to do - we just turned up and enjoyed the day! I really needn't have worried! Thank you Rachel and Ionian Weddings!

Rachel was our coordinator and was so helpful from Start to finish (for 3 years of planning and re-booking due to covid) They walk you though the process, and book and deal with everything for you. Rachel was always there to answer any questions. Thank you for making our special day so perfect

Jul 16,2022I can’t believe our wedding was 5 weeks ago today, it’s gone so quickly and wish we could do it all over again. The venue was incredible, the views, the staff, the food. There was soo much food, which we were pleased about as there’s nothing worse than going to a wedding and being hungry, the staff and chef paid a lot of attention to the fact that James is coeliac and made sure he wasn’t given anything he couldn’t eat. The cupcakes were beautiful, I didn’t actually get to try one as there was just too much going on but all the guests said they were lovely. The flowers were beautiful and they’d placed them all on the tables for when we had dinner so I’m glad I didn’t order table center pieces as well. Our local co-ordinator was lovely and any concerns I had about how the day would run we talked through at our meeting :) she had bought neutral table clothes for the table set ups which just tied it all in and looked amazing. Thank you so much Ionian Weddings for all your help planning the wedding. We had the most perfect day!!

Jul 14,2022DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. I’m not normally one to write reviews but I couldn’t let someone else go through the Ionian experience, quite honestly one of my biggest regrets is booking with this awful company! So disorganised, don’t know their venues (we had to pay the day before to keep our venue open at our own expensive at £300 an hour) as Ionian were unaware of their closing times! Transfers weren’t sorted so I had to walk from a drop off point in my wedding dress in the dark for 15 minutes. Still haven’t got my pictures after being told to wait 4/6 weeks then being told again to wait 6/8 weeks. So unprofessional and quite honestly heartbreaking. Worst thing I ever did was click on their website! Take my word for it DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Jul 09,2022A long time in the planning due to covid & moved a few times. However, all we can say is WOW!!! Worth the wait. The team weee fantastic making the process a stress free experience. We were married in Sorrento- Museo followed by Hidden Gem. Maria our co-ordinaries in the UK was fantastic always to hand to answer queries. Viola in Sorrento was amazing, everything was co-ordinated so well, putting our minds at ease. Arranged a pre wedding meet at the Foreigners Club for guests(recommended). Took us to theMuseo to finalise plans, give tips on photos etc, onto the Villa to meet Bernado again finalise everything. The day Viola was on hand to oversea everything then after the ceremony left us in the very capable hands of Bernado and his team. A truly magical day one the wedding party expressed was the most beautiful ever attended. Thinking of booking your wedding abroad? I recommend Ionian in a heartbeat. Thank you team, Viola you made our day! Bernado & team you certainly made the night! Wished we could do it all again!

Jul 05,2022We got Married in Santorini 20/6/22 at Cavo Ventus luxury Villa & Oh my gosh....it was everything we could have dreamed of and more. We had originally booked up with Ionian in 2019 to get married in June 2021 but due to the pandemic we had to reschedule. Patricia was our original planner but we were then allocated Rachel. Rachel was amazing and made sure everything was transferred to our new date with ease. She was fantastic from start to finish. All of my questions we answered promptly and she guided us through the process making sure we fully understood how an abroad wedding would work. I felt super confident having Rachel plan our dream wedding with us & I cannot recommend Ionian weddings enough. Sofia, the destination planner was fab also and Elena the Villa manager was wonderful too. Our wedding was completely out of this world and It was a stress free process. Aug 28,2022We finally got married in Sorrento on 29/7/22 after two years of postponements due to covid. We honestly cannot thank Maria & Valeria enough. Between the two of these amazing wedding planners they made our day super special and stunningly flawless. From day one Maria (UK based) made the whole process stress free even when I was having complete meltdowns over covid, paperwork and even minor panics, she just completely reassured me every step of the way that the day would be perfect and she didn’t disappoint. From the Ceremony at the Cloisters to the reception at Castore it was all we had imagined and more. Valeria (Sorrento based) was such a lovely person to meet and sit down with and go over any last details and of course the order if the day. She was in constant contact with us from the day we arrived in Sorrento and even the days after. The Wedding day just flowed perfectly thanks to her. I would 100% recommend Ionion weddings to anyone thinking of having a wedding planner for their special day. I also would recommend the Cloisters and castore as venues. Thanks again Tammy & Paolo x
