Jul 19,2019From only sharing the T&C’s after the deposit was paid, confirming the wrong island/ceremony/timings 3 months prior to the wedding, to charging 20-40% more than local suppliers, unclear invoices and all over poor communications – my experience with Ionian Weddings was quite disappointing. We ended up doing all the paperwork and booking most of the suppliers directly ourselves. I highly recommend to avoid this wedding planner and to go through the local planners and suppliers of Skiathos.

We celebrated our Wedding at the Akron Beach Bar in Corfu on the 29th June 2019 and everything surpassed our expectations. Kiriaki was nothing short of excellent as well was our venue and their team. I cannot recommend Ionian Wedding enough for all their help and advice along the way. If you're looking for professional planners and the most amazing venue I cannot recommend Ionian, Kiriaki and the Akron bar highly enough. Jul 02,2019Choosing Ionian to organise our wedding for us was the best decision we made! We felt supported from start to finish- they took the stress out of the organisation and the legal paperwork, they went above and beyond to cater to our requests (i.e. the bride being vegan), and they allowed us to simply focus on relaxing and enjoying our day. On top of that they were friendly and kind (both the UK team via email and then in person in Tuscany) which made it an even nicer experience. Couldn't recommend them enough!

Jun 30,2019I can not fault Ionian Weddings whatsoever. They have been so helpful & thorough & on point from start to finish! I can’t thank Helen enough. She was great! Myself & my husband Dan got married at Thalassines Beach Villas in Cyprus & it was literally paradise ❤️I’ve never experienced such a tranquil,beautiful,idyllic place to get married. Sheena & Polly who were our in sight co ordinators were just amazing! So friendly,welcoming & just treated us like royalty! We did not have to lift a finger. Myself & my husband will cherish those special memories with great people forever. I would recommend Thalassines Beach Villas for anyone wanting a destination wedding. Jun 06,2019Ionian weddings are the perfect choice if you are planning a wedding abroad. We chose cameo island in Zante and our wedding planners both in the UK and Zante were amazing. The whole process from start to finish was stress free and well organised. Our wedding planners were on hand, easy to communicate with and very knowledgeable. They made sure that everything was perfect and accommodated all our last minute requests, nothing was to much trouble. Our wedding day was perfect and our guests are still talking about it now. The flowers were amazing, the pictures from the photographer are outstanding (the ones we have seen so far), and the staff at the mamma Mia taverna were fantastic, there was so much food! The wedding cake was very taste some of our guests returned the next day to the taverna for another slice! Highly recommend Helen and her team at Ionian weddings

May 29,2019Dear Cassi, Gabi and the rest of the Ionian Weddings team- We wanted to write to you to say a massive thankyou from the bottom of our hearts. We have had the most fantastic time and experience planning, organising and enjoying our wedding day and will never forget how much we both smiled, well grinned from ear to ear all day! Even if there were some minor setbacks and changes for us and our family and friends, everything was so easily adapted and every member of the team were more than helpful- I feel like I have made friends with some of you because of how much you have done for us and I think that is the most important factor in choosing a planner. I give a lot of thought and effort to detail (as I know you are all aware of!!) and everything I wanted was carried off with ease. Athina calmed me down at the moments I needed and shared in our joys with us. Even Tassos the owner of the venue says it was one of his all time favourite weddings and I cant wait to return to Kefalonia for many anniversaries in the future to visit them! I wanted to send this to you before I fully embrace the honeymoon lifestyle as I know how incredibly important it is as a bride to know you have support and understanding, and also trust in the people around you. Every wedding is special but ours was perfect for us and I wanted to thank you for your incredible work in assisting us in making that happen. Testimonials will make a huge difference in the events business (as I know from personal experience!) and I want to share with any other nervous brides my experiences with Ionian weddings so they can choose wisely and make sure they have the most magical moments which will create memories forever. From the beginning to the day where I was passed a shot of Ouzo and drank this with my dad before I went down that aisle, I will treasure Antisamos Beach for life. May 15,2019Where to start..? We have just had our wedding with Ionian wedding the 4th of May 2019, wich we started plan with them in August last year. 1. NO BUDGET NEEDED. Because you can't get the right price anyhow.. We had to plan our wedding from the 2018 brochures (in march, because they still did not have the updated ones), and when we got the final invoice, the expences were a lot higher than the 2018 prices.. The package itself costed £446 more than the year before. Then there was all the decorations.. Some had a price increase at 250%, THAT IS INSANE! At least, if you do not have the right brochures, then give the price that is listed in the brochures you make us choose from! All in all our wedding ended up costing more than £1500 more than it should have.And i know, that you said, that the 2018 brochures had the 2018 prices, but we never saw any 2019 prices until it was on our final invoice. 2. THEY SAY IT IS STRESSFREE WEDDINGPLANNING, IT IS NOT! We kept trying to plan our wedding with less than 6 months to go, but as said, the brochures wasn't ready. In mid february we wrote again to let Helen know, that we were going on a two week vacation to the dominican republic, and that we didn't want to worry at the trip. She said that we could just go, and then we would plan our wedding when we got back in mid march. Okay then! Three days into our vacation we got the message: you haven't payed yet, and have to plan your wedding, and make the final payment NOW... So we planned our entire wedding, in 3 hours, sitting in the dominican republic, with the 2018 brochures of course.. 3. The wedding venue service at 'Nissaki, Ayia Thekla' was horrible. I could go on and on with things that we are unsatisfied with, but we feel really screwed, that we we promised a stressfree weddingplanning, but it turned up being more stressfull than i could have ever imagined. The ONLY positive thing was our on sight wedding planner Cheradie. She was amazing, and a true star! And her husband (our DJ) Karl too... They are the reason you get a star, and then the fact that we could not give none..

May 08,2019If I could give No stars I would. Absolutely appalling service from start to finish. Since day one we have never spoken to the same person twice. They want to do everything via email. You try to complain over the phone they disregard. We still have no idea of how much the wedding will cost and its 3 months away. Told not to worry, despite us having no idea how much money we need to pay for it. every time you send an email it goes into a black hole. I WOULD NOT USE. Please be very wary. My friend had a similar experience and all she was doing was enquiring! It is meant to be the happiest time planning and getting excited. Good luck getting fobbed off!

Nov 19,2018Ionian Weddings are based in the UK. With locations in the most amazing places in the Mediterranean Areas. From Start to Finish they filled us full of confidence, every detail of our Wedding down to my own hand made table decorations was meticulously taken care of. The staff are amazing curteous and very professional. Our Contact in Malta - Alison was incredible She is the most organised person I have met, and nothing is too much trouble to arrange your perfect day. Our Venue at Palazzo Parisio in Nazzar Was what Dreams are made of. Ionian Weddings & Alison Made that dream come true

Nov 16,2018When I think back to planning our wedding, I really do not know what I’d of done without Ionian Weddings (IW). Deciding on a destination wedding was so daunting having previous no knowledge or experience, I didn’t know where to start but the team at IW were fantastic from start to finish. Helen and Gabbi in the office were so supportive, helpful and encouraging, as you’d probably imagine I had a lot of questions during the whole process and I felt no point felt uncomfortable or stupid. Both were so helpful regarding elements of the process such as the legal documentation and they really helped and guided me through what I needed to do. Having the opportunity for a skype call with Helen was something I really valued, not only was it an opportunity to put a face to a name I constantly emailed but also to have an open and honest chat about our expectations about the big day. Planning a wedding and especially one abroad (and when you’ve not even been to place your getting hitched) was a little apprehensive but I felt reassured and confident that everything would go to plan. We had one small issue with the venue for the ceremony before flying out which was no fault of IW, Helen was so lovely and understanding when talking me through it as I appreciate it probably wasn’t the nicest call she wanted to make, however it all worked out in the end. On arrival in Greece, we arranged to meet our wedding planner Helen on our first night to talk through the arrangements for the big day. I cannot thank Helen enough for her advice, guidance and willingness to help before, during and after our big day, she made the day go so smoothly. We got married on Cameo Island in Zante, it was and is a breathtaking venue and we had our reception at Vachros, again an amazing venue and the food was stunning. Our wedding day is one we’ll never forget, surrounded by our family and our friends - it was truly magical! I would recommend Ionian Weddings in a heartbeat!!!

Nov 13,2018While starting to plan our wedding in Croatia, we came across Ionian Weddings and were able to get great information from Giuliana. She was so responsive and gave us venue options based on our needs. She was so nice to work with and we really felt like our wedding was a priority for her and her team and our voices were being heard. Our plans ended up changing but I would recommend this group to others simply based on our initial experience and how well we were treated throughout the process.

Particularly Giuliana has been simply perfect in helping us with all the documentation and in planning our wedding down to the very last detail in our breathtaking venue in Sorrento. She has been more than a simple planner, she has been a professional consultant and a friend. I highly reccomend the company and Giuliana if you really want to live your wedding as the best day of your life!

Oct 02,2019I Understand can not change the Greek laws changing, however communication was terrible i was forever chasing to see if my wedding was even going to take place! Make up and hair stylist were terrible and rude and wasn't listening to me, paid for a trial and the make up artist said she didn't want to waste her good makeup so just going to do eye shadow but paid twice the price, told wedding planner who didn't do anything about it. also paid over £100 for hair stylist and was told I had to pay extra of grip clips and volume sponge. I then paid £120 for my wedding certificate, it arrived damaged and they said I have to pay £140 to replace it. I explain I paid for a document and it wasn't packaged properly. they told me to contact royal mail. Spoke to RM and they said wedding planner never sent with special delivery therefore the document can not be refunded for the full amount the sender should have sent with the correct postage insurance and packaging. currently going backwards and forward but there are not helping atall which is unfair as I paid for an official document and have received a screwed up ripped piece of paper I can not use!
