I took my recently purchased (from another dealer) car for a service and was lucky to have it checked by Gregg Darmody and his team. The discovered serious structural problems that weren’t disclosed during the sale. Gregg was kind enough to talk us through the issues, showed us pictures, and explained things in plain English. He was very kind to talk to us on the phone the next couple of days and I will be forever grateful for his kindness, patience and professionalism. I deducted one star due to the difficulty in getting through to book the service.
Phone calls rarely get answered. Was told my service would only be 2 hours, so hung around and came back in 3 hours, only to be told it wouldn’t be ready until tomorrow. Also got told some BS by a receptionist that my brakes were 100% worn when the warning had only just came on the previous week! Ok, I would get them replaced anyway without lying that they can go from ‘warning’ to ‘needs immediate replacement’ within a week - that is only about 30-40km of driving as well). The bill came to about 40% more than I was quoted too! When collecting the car keys from main reception the next day, there was a security issue where I could read the names/reg plate of all the car keys to be collected that day - before the girl could ask me what my name was. An opportunist could easily get their hands on someone else’s car this way I feel!
Just said id give people an update. Ordered a part on November 1st. Told it would take 1 week for delivery, then was told it would be another 2-3 more weeks, then would be another 2-6 weeks. 12 weeks now and still waiting. & not a single phonecall from them to update me or an apology!!!! 👎👎
I received a phone call from J&P to remind me to book a service. I booked one there and then. I received a further telephone call some weeks later asking me if I would like to book a service. I explained that I had already done so. I was told by the young lady that I hadn’t a booking and the previous call and appointment was provisional and that they were booked out for the day I was given. I said that was very strange given I was given a day and time for my appointment. However I took another day a few days later. The minor service went without a hitch, however I was very disappointed that my car hadn’t been hoovered. I had already had it washed the previous day. J&P always washed and hoovered my car after a service. Pity it’s not still done.
Friendly, professional service. Courtesy car for the day, while my car being worked on, timing- belt. Service department kept me updated as to progress Pleasant waiting area - newspapers and coffee available and, importantly, clean toilets after a 2 hour drive !
