She got back to my emails and call within a day and went all the way to help with my order. Cannot recommend this place enough. Amazing. Thank you so much. A client for life :-)

Jul 15,2024Customer service is extremely prompt and helpful. Have had parts of orders sent out, with the remaining parts sent out when they come in. This has happened without asking. I also find that the stock is excellent, and of good quality, and am more than happy to rely on them for my needs

Jun 21,2024One of the best small companies I've ever had the pleasure of ordering from. Fast response to queries raised via their contact us form. Competitive prices for everything but especially DMC skeins much cheaper than Hobbycraft. They also make handy project packs for WOXS magazine charts so you can buy all your thread and fabric in one go which doesn't work out any more expensive than if you were to buy them individually so useful for people who don't have a collection of colours yet. The owner has even gone above and beyond to cancel and adjust orders for me when I've been an idiot and decided to order 10+ skeins for one project one day then decide to order the full 500 DMC box the next day, rendering the previous order unnecessary, which they really didn't need to agree to at all but which I massively appreciate. Top class service, you even earn loyalty reward points to spend on future orders and we all do love a freebie! I saw this company recommended by others on social media and then saw them advertised in my World of Cross Stitching magazine and now I'm a firm, loyal customer.

Jun 07,2024My order from Lakeside Needlework was placed at the end of working hours on Thursday 30 May, was despatched to me on Wednesday 5 June and arrived on 7 June. Everything was exactly as I had ordered (including nearly 200 skeins of DMC threads) and was beautifully packed and presented. I had subscribed to the Lakeside Newsletter and so received a 10% discount on the skeins which, as they were already cheaper than I could buy anywhere else, made them a real bargain. Thank you, Kate and your assistants for such a good service. I will be back with another order in about a year, I expect, as this project is going to take some time to complete.

May 31,2024Great shop got a bigger selection of supplies than most other places. Isn't as fast to dispatch as regular stores, but seems like the standard with cross stitch supply stores. Edit: nice response from the owners, my review certainly wasn't a complaint, I've had great service, made multiple orders and already eyeing up some new fabric for new patterns!

May 04,2024Excellent. I made an error on my first ever order, which Kate sorted straightaway for me. The range of DMC threads is great. The delivery arrived in the advised time and the threads were all correct and packaged beautifully. Will definitely use again.

Apr 28,2024Won't be ordering from this company again. Was reassured delivery would arrive in plenty of time for a birthday present, and it didn't. Order arrived late, and missed the birthday. Would have been more understanding of the situation and held Royal Mail accountable, but the company refused a refund for delivery, despite charging me for Tracked 48hr (and it completely missed the 48hr timescale). EDITED TO ADD: After reading the reply from the company below, it's disappointing that they've used incorrect information. They've said I've ordered on a Sunday - which could then be interpreted by Trustpilot readers that it was a last-minute order they did quickly for me. However, this is untrue. I didn't order on a Sunday, I ordered on a Wednesday, days before that. I have emails to confirm the order was placed on the Wednesday before, to prove this to Trustpilot. So to be very clear - I ordered on Wednesday 17th April. The order status hadn't changed and on Saturday 20th April I emailed to politely ask if it would arrive in time for the 25th April. I also did not ask if it could be sent as soon as possible, despite what the company has claimed in their Trustpilot response. In their email reply they said it would arrive in plenty of time. As I explained in my original review - it did not. And as Lakeside Needlecraft holds the arrangement for purchasing their shipping with Royal Mail, not me, that's why I asked Lakeside for the postage refund. For postage companies it's standard that you are told to contact your seller (in this case, Lakeside).

Apr 09,2024Having to ask the owners/managers via messenger about a query before buying further cross stitch materials, the answers were prompt and knowledgeable. A problem with another previous order was amicably settled and points added to spend when I next ordered. So far good service.

I am very very happy with my experience, 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Aug 26,2024I'd ordered a lot of thread, some fabric and a needle minder. Unfortunately the needle minder was missing from my package, I contacted them and they responded within the hour, late into the evening which I was not expecting and they informed me they would post one to me the next day, no questions asked. I received it promptly, people make mistakes and I was very impressed with how they responded.
