Everything went smoothly and the luggage was received a day earlier than expected.
From my initial inquiry about the service to our bags being left on our front doorstep unattended, it was a complete disaster. E-mails and calls to the company went unanswered. When I did hear from someone, I received conflicting information or no follow up to my questions. It took a month of emails and phone calls (that were never returned) to confirm the correct port name to select on the website. When we disembarked from our cruise ship, there was no indication of what to do or anyone to receive the bags. There was no follow up with tracking numbers. We selected a date of delivery when we would be home but the shipment came early. When I called Luggage forward they assured me the bags would not be left without a signature. When they were, I was then told that they only request signature's at a business address. That should be clear when booking to select the destination to be delivered to. How can you justify leaving two large suitcases on the front doorstep of a house which obviously indicates that nobody is at home? I choose this service in order to continue our vacation without the extra baggage while traveling by train. I expected to have peace of mind that my bags were safe and well taken care of and I did not have that at all. In retrospect, I would rather have just had my suitcases with me. For the money I paid, it was not worth it at all. I will never use this service again, and I will never recommend it to anybody.

Pick up of my golf clubs were on time and delivered to the ship at the start of the Cruise. Pick up after the cruise was on time and delivered back to my home a few days early.

The company is organized, and picks up/delivers as promised on time. The only drawback: UPS somehow got black grime all over my brand-new soft-side suitcase. It's an oily grime, and difficult (impossible?) to remove. I wonder if your company might provide plastic sheets we can slip over our suitcases, if UPS cannot guarantee cleanliness.

The company gives good information when setting up reservation and the packet for your luggage arrives timely. The pickup and delivery was good. Because there was a change on the location of ship it got a little tense.

The tracking operations are extremely poor. Despite checking out of my hotel two days ago, I could not get any information on whether my luggage had been picked up. Additionally, the customer service representative I spoke with was very rude and condescending.

Our expectations were exceeded! Not having to lug golf clubs through airports and hotels was wonderful. While it is pricey we were so glad we sprung for the luxury, it made for a wonderful trip.

Aug 09,2024Whilst it was expensive getting my clubs back from Scotland to Australia, the experience was painless and extremely efficient. They left Scotland on a Tuesday and they were back in Melbourne later in the week.
