Nov 20,2022Generally happy with my UM560. My only slight disappointment is the limited BIOS. For instance, I'm unable to start the computer from a "shutdown" state by mouse or keyboard use. This is an edit of a review which used the words wake from sleep. Minisforum suggested updating Windows. When the computer has been shut down, I believe the only way to start it by keyboard or mouse use is to enable that in BIOS. All of my previous computers had that ability, but I've been unable to find it in BIOS and was told previously by Minisforum that they don't support that. But to repeat, I'm satisfied with the computer and would buy it again, even if I knew of this limitation in advance.

Nov 17,2022This has been a great little PC to run VMs on. I have a Windows/Linux lab setup with 8 VMs hosted on this box. Works great.

Nov 12,2022Overall happy with the hardware, but I found out that there's a significant sound degradation when using one of the Display Ports. The sound carried via this port is crackling. I thought first it was the cables I am using, or the connections, etc.. but at the end after checking each connections, cables, set up to pin down the problem, changing the DP to the left to right solved the issue. As I do not need to use the second DP for now, this is not much of an issue for me, but it's a pity...

Nov 01,2022This tiny little PC is perfect for a HTPC, even a bit of overkill. It runs linux wonderfully and plays any and every kind of media I've thrown at it. My only wish would be to have an ancient Optical Audio output, but since that's not reasonable, I wouldn't change a thing. I can't even remember if I've ever heard the fan on this unit, it's either extremely quiet, or I've never pushed the unit that hard.

Oct 30,2022The computer is quite fast and responsive ... however I am very disappointed with the graphics ... the picture resolution is quite bad, with a blueish, greenish hue ... especially when connected to a Sony Bravia TV. I have updated the driver for the Radeon graphics, slight improvement but not perfect. If you could suggest the best way to improve this, i would be grateful. Thanks/Thomas The Model Number: HX90

Oct 29,2022Hardware fantastic but support is BAD. However the aftersales support for the fTPM bug is atrocious. If minisforum had dealt with this swiftly with a publicly downloadable BIOS, I would have given it a 6/5 and recommend the brand to anyone. Based on current experience, it seems like if the hardware has a issue based on DAY ONE design it will be there forever because no efforts are made to get it rectified. bbs.minisforum.com (HX90) windows-10-11-stuttering-when-ftpm-enabled-amd-confirmed-bug-and-planned-resolution.2223/

Oct 29,2022I bought an HM80 and it does almost everything I want it to. We wiped Windows and put Pop!_OS on it, and now it's basically our living room TV/light gaming system. Graphics are a little weird on some games in Linux and there are a few video glitches that seem to resolve if you just use VLC. All in all it's a great machine and I can't wait to add a drive.

Oct 28,2022Great mini pc. Fast, upgradable and so far no issues. Looking to add a discrete graphics card soon. Delivery was super fast. Will definitely buy again from Minisforum in the future.

Oct 28,2022As many other people, I am still waiting a new BIOS correcting the AMD bug. There is no answer from the support team. It is really a shame for a such expensive product. I am very disappointed, and will not recommended MinisForum. Edit: I add that they wanted to pay one of their buyers to remove a negative review. But they still released a new BIOS that looks more like a hack than a real fix. Et en français : Comme beaucoup d'autres personnes, je suis encore en train d'attendre un nouveau BIOS qui corrigera le bug d'AMD. Il n'y a absolument aucune réponse de l'équipe de support. C'est une honte pour un produit aussi cher. Je suis très déçu, et je ne recommanderai pas MinisForum. Édit : J'ajoute qu'ils ont voulu payer un de leur acheteurs pour qu'il enlève un avis négatif. Mais ils ont quand-même publié un nouveau BIOS qui semble plus à une bidouille que une vraie correction.

Oct 28,2022I have two minisforum computers: MFU-700 and a B550. I think they are excellent systems for performance and value. I run Linux (Pop-OS) on them and have had no problems. They are both quiet and have so far (six months on one and about two on the other) been trouble-free.I use the 700 for programming, media viewing and general web access. The B550 is used mostly for gaming. I am entirely satisfied with both systems.

Oct 28,2022Bought a x500, B550 and a couple HM90's for clients and they've all been great. Quiet, build quality seems good. very small/fast. Not sure why you'd buy a nuc ever again.

Oct 27,2022Bought a B550 bare bones and added a AMD 5700G with 64 g ram and 1 tb ssd and 2 1 tb nvme as a test system to see if this is worth it so far beating my expectations as a back up computer delivery was fast and complete. Saw the review on Level1Tech Wendell's review was good.

Oct 27,2022I bought a HX90 6 months ago. At first, I am quite skeptical to give good reviews as I haven't really started using it. Occasionally I get to see reviews which wrote poor support, machine not working when first start. 6 months later, I would boldly said this machine is great and value for money. BTW I am a student who started to learn coding. I solely use for running my code using various SDK. I also using machine learning to build algorithms. So far the machine is performing excellent.

Oct 26,2022UM560購入。 Auto-Detect and Install for Windows® 10/11」をDLしてインストールしようとすると電源が勝手に落ちます。 サポートに問い合わせても意味不明な回答ばかりで、一向に埒が明きません。 また、電源投入後、モニターにデスクトップが表示後、何の前触れもなく電源が落ちることもあります。 初期不良として交換希望なのですが、なしのつぶてです。

Nov 20,2022Got a Minisforum Elitemini HM80 as a replacement for a desktop. extremely happy with the performance so far. Have a HX 90 coming from Ebay, hope it works out or I'll be back. Update The HM80 started making a cycling noise and vibration. I think it was a fan issue. It was unbearable and got louder. Contacted Minisforum about the issue and it is being returned, UPS said it would get there on Monday. Hopefully a credit is issued, as promised so I can shop for a new 1. 12-03-2022
