May 05,2021Please be aware of this shop's predatory return policy! I ordered a large amount of clothes that I had been looking forward to purchasing for a while (like $400). The quality of the clothes that I got was very inconsistant. Majority of my purchase were things that I didn't feel like were accurately described on the website or were just completely inaccurate. Like super thin materials, inaccurate cm/inch measurements in the sizing charts, and weird smells on pretty much everything. I completely understand that purchasing from a smaller retailer online always carries a certain level of risk and that shopping from Asian brands can be really tricky because I am XL and oftentimes the suggested measurements on websites like Modakawa are not accurate, which of course turned out to be true this time too. I read the return policy that mentioned that the customer is required to pay return shipping. I was totally fine with that. What they don't tell you is that the only option that you have to return to them is overseas shipping. For my $400 purchase, about $200 of which I wanted to return, the shipping total was over $800 because I am not a business who is shipping things. I emailed them letting them know that this was an issue for me and that I wouldn't be able to return this without having some type of return label from them. They then tried to convince me to take a percentage amount of a refund and keep the products. But I didn't realize was that they were probably purposely dragging this out. Since my packages arrived over 1-1.5 months late, and they repeatedly tried to bully me into taking a partial refund and keeping things I don't even want, I have missed the 60-day deadline to contest this with my bank. I have no doubt that they are aware of this rule. Please just shop anywhere else just so you can have the peace of mind to be able to possibly return things and to learn from my mistake. I don't want anyone else to lose $400 of their own money because a company decided to withhold information to purposely keep a return from happening, especially not in the middle of the Pandemic. So please shop anywhere else. P.S. they jack up the prices like crazy. While I was waiting the almost two months for my boxes to arrive I decided to peek around the internet and found out a lot of More expensive things I purchased were sold on sites like Yesstyle or Amazon for 20 bucks cheaper.

May 01,2021The product itself is of great quality and exactly as expected. The shipping process was a bit slower than anticipated and I didn’t receive a tracking number, but customer service helped with that and I received my hoodie shortly after. Now I wear it all the time!

Apr 29,2021I have done 2 orders on this site and they are absolutely amazing! The quality is just so nice, the fabric so soft and really good quality. They do take long to ship but the wait is definitely worth it since what they sell is exactly what they show when your shopping in their site. Its a really trustworthy site too. I look forward to purchasing more things from Modakawa

Apr 27,2021I ordered a Cartoon Fox Print Sweatshirt, matching A-Line Pleated Skirt, and a pair of JK overknee socks during an event with that bunny bracelet as free gift around late February, and it arrived in Japan around a month later. The packing was decent, separated and neet, with their cute card. I love the item: the texture is soft and amazing, though there are some little cotton dust (?) that would fall off completely after 2~3 wash. My skirt was a little bit big, but that's on me, but the free size shirt was 100% fit (I'm an S~M Asian size). Modakawa's price has always been a low-high, but the design and the quality overall is worth it.

Apr 26,2021I've purchased two 2 piece outfits from this site and been extremely pleased with the quality! Shopping online from asian retailers can be really hit or miss, but for the price the quality was actually really nice. The clothes felt good, the fabric and prints were just as pictured, much more comfortable than expected, and as long as I made sure my measurements were accurate everything fit really well. Really pleased, well definitely be ordering again.

I was a little unsure on expected delivery date as my tracking wasn't updating I did contact customer service and they were so incredibly helpful. I had a really great experience with modakawa this was my first purchase from them but definitely coming back for more . Excellent company , excellent product fabulous customer service

Apr 25,2021It did take a bit to get my order, but I understood this as it was coming overseas. One item was small but represented well (a sweater), so if you buy those big oversized sweaters or sweatshirts and want it big, buy the largest size. That one fits me fine, although it did get little puff balls washing on gentle and hang drying, so be careful when washing. The sweatshirt was not the right color and had a defect, and although it took a while to get a true refund, they did do the right thing and eventually gave me one. I think that might have been my initial review more than anything else as a lot of folks saw it in the time that it was up, but still, they did the right thing so I cannot complain about the experience overall. Do know that they have distributors and that they are not necessarily in charge of all items being represented, so you could get a great item, or you could get an item that does have some issues, it is a bit of a tossup. If you go in knowing that and buy big sizes, you could end up really happy with your purchase. Would I buy from them again? I am undecided, but likely I would worry a bit too much about getting something I would be able to use for a good while to come.

Everything I bought was super high quality and they even included a little gift card in the box :) the order came with a tracking number too so I could keep an eye on where the package was. I had no issues with it, and I really love everything I bought ^^

My package took around a month to arrive to me, when I emailed them to let me know where the package was they took around two days to reply which is not bad at all!!! Do spend your money wisely!

Apr 17,2021Everything I ordered came, and it came earlier than told. They look as advertised too. The only issue I had was with the earrings, which was,, kinda bent. It was fixable but it scared me, but I understand that it most likely happened during shipping when a heavier object was above it. Overall pretty good experience, will shop again!

May 05,2021I’m very happy with with both the top and pants that I purchased, and the shipping didn’t take too long. For what it’s worth, I think the shirts fabric could have been a little better quality, as it was quite thin, however overall it was a good purchase. If you ever buy pants, go for the size up just for length, but otherwise I was very happy 🥰
