My experience with NACA has been absolutely amazing so far. The workshop was extremely informative in laying out the necessary requirements for the program and what the steps are to buy a home with NACA. I recently had my intake session with my counselor who was very kind and encouraging and laid out an action plan for me to be qualified as soon as possible.
I attended NACA’s homebuyer workshop in Aug 2022 and had my initial intake appointment within a week. I thought I had everything in order to be qualified and I had the minimum required funds. However, I needed to “start the clock” to reflect payment shock savings in my account in addition to the lump sum amount that I saved since I did not have recent rental history. Initially, I didn't want to wait several months to be qualified when I could have just used a different loan product to be qualified immediately, but I believe the benefits of the program are well worth the wait. This process really made me take a hard look at myself and how I was handling managing my finances. I can honestly say I feel more disciplined with my finances and the good habits that I’ve developed will continue long after leaving the closing table!
NACA is a good program for first time home buyer because its optional such as no down payment, no need good credit report and also have counsellor and agent who can help you throughout the process. Thanks to our counsellor Ms. Megan Evan, she is polite and patient person with us. we are just on the first step so far, the services good.
Working with my new counselor Angela Barnett and she made the process go so smoothly and with much needed patience. Going through NACA taught me how to be mindful of the money that I was spending and taught me how to save. I'm currently in housing search and I thank this program for helping me and my family to become a first time home owner.
I truly enjoyed speaking with Ellen today. I was kind of hesitant about calling for assistance, but she changed my whole perspective around. She went above and beyond to make sure my issue was resolved and gave tips for future reference. If all agents are as wonderful as she is I know this process will be successful. I was very pleased with my first Intake appointment, the experience was nice and smooth. My counselor was nice, he explained in great details all about the program requirements, he requested a few letter of explaination and suggested that I work on raising my income a bit more. I am definitely thankfull for his profesionalism, which consequently motivate me more to achieve my dream of home ownership.

I'm still in the Counseling phase of NACA, however I couldn't be more excited about this life changing adventure. My Counselor: Michael (Rochester) is knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. While this process can be tedious and require detailed attention. Michael will make you smile in between, thank you. He answered all of my questions. My process is far from over but I'm hopefully and will do my part with the action plan! Thanks NACA.
Hi there. this is my honest opinion. This program takes a while to get through. I am still going. But I heard it is very worth it.
I think NACA is a great program. I have found through personal experience that it make homes more affordable for people like myself who happens not to be wealthy. You are able to afford more home than with an average lender. I have tried other lenders and have found that this is the best way. Naca does so by requiring less of a down payment and lower interest rates among other programs. I am please with this program.
NACA is a great organization that is super helpful to every homeowner. The staff is always helpful and answers and questions that we may have about the program. I highly recommend using NACA to purchase your next home!

NACA is a great program for lower to middle class families looking to buy a home for the first time. Using NACA is comforting because they guarantee you the best rate possible as well as helping you with the closing cost on your purchase.
NACA is great homebuying program. There's no down payment, no closing costs or fees, and no mortgage insurance. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested in owning a home to go ahead and apply with their program!
I am still working with NACA to get qualified for my own housing but, so far with the process it has been reassuring that I will have my own home. From my first meeting starting in September to just having another meeting this month my savings has grown and my new counselor has really explained things that weren't explained at the first meeting. This process is very detail orientated that's good not just for buying a home but to create and maintain good habits moving forward. I can't wait to start the home buying process. My daughter and I can't wait to have our own home!
My family is currently working with NACA. The experience has been lengthy but I know it will all pay off at the end!

Feb 11,2023I heard about this program from a NACA rep on the radio. People called in with questions and I heard the agent say they can assist with renegotiating a loan to lower rate/monthly mortgage. I spent hours upon hours filling out the forms on their portal (which wasnt easy to use). Now NACA is saying they do not renegotiate loans. MY SUGGESTION BEFORE YOU FILL OUT APPLICATION PLEASE CALL NACA TO MAKE SURE THEY CAN ASSIST!!! My suggestion to NACA - please screen applicants better and add more scenarios (clearer) to your drop down options list of why you are applying. Also, provide bullet point list of what your program can and cannot assist with on your website. How many other people like me wasted all this time to find out at the end of the process you cannot help?? You should capture that data information and use it to improve your processes and website! Something is wrong here. There is a lot of room for improvement!
