I have tried other home ownership programs with other agencies especially as a first time home buyer but this is the first time in my experience where I have not been 'ghosted' after the first meeting. My experience with NACA has been great so far with excellent follow up after the initial meeting with my counselor. Our first meeting was also very productive, my counselor shared great information that was very helpful for my case and took her time to walk me through the process, shared what to expect and we even discussed a realistic timeline for my case. I have also not been able to find a better rate than what is being offered at NACA with other lending programs, especially when there is no down payment or closing cost required. I will also be honest and mention that the NACA home ownership process is more rigorous than conventional loan processes and requires more attention to personal budgeting but I believe that is why the process works. I will recommend using NACA to everyone.
My wife and I have been working with Sheneathia this last quarter and looking forward to seeing this process through and getting involved more once we find our home!
NACA is a great first time home buyer’s program. It has made purchasing a home a possibility for so many who didn’t think it was an option , like myself. I started NACA on February 2021 and I can’t say it has been an easy ride but I'm getting closer to my goal. I also had things that I needed to take care of that has made my journey a little drawn out but I digress. NACA has low interest rates. It also requires no down payment or closing cost. It does require you to be diligent , patience, and be active in your process. NACA is a community dedicated to helping us get affordable housing. I can say this much they won’t approve you for a lone you can’t afford to payback , the goal is to get you in an affordable home and this is one of things i love about this program.Overall the good outweigh the bad.
NACA is a fantastic program for homeownership and I’m extremely excited to be part of it. I’ve been assigned to a brilliant counselor LaJundra Carr. She is knowledgeable, extremely smart, honest, respectful, wise as Solomon and has the patience of Job! Yes the process is intense, at times grueling but if you do your due diligence and follow the Action Plan, home ownership is not far off. Stay the course and keep the faith. Thanks NACA.
I have started my process to buy my first home through the NACA program. So far my overall experience has been wonderful. Through the class to get you set up and speaking with my counselor. Every one has been helpful and has helped me understand what is needed and guided me to the right path to achieve my goal to purchasing a home.
I love working with NACA on purchasing my wife and I first home. It’s a journey that my wife and I been waiting for.
I am a new member of NACA but just had my first appointment with my counselor Sharon Bogney. She was efficient and to the point through the counseling session. I look forward to continuing the process and had a friend refer me to this program.
I am a new member in naca and the truth is that I feel very happy and grateful, above all, with the advice I have received from Mr. Ricardo Jaramillo for his patience and humility, hoping that he will continue like this with that disposition and dedication.
I like NACA! It is a long process but they have helped so many people become homeowners. I am thankful for programs like this
NACA will do what it takes to see you in a new home i love the experience i had i love the communication that i was provided during my home search of me and my husband becoming first time homeowners we are excited to work with NACA thank you I would refer everyone to NACA love the Brown family.
It’s a tough program that requires patience in terms of doing it yourself with completing paperwork. However, if you are task oriented and do it at your own pace, along with the help of our very helpful counselor, like ours, Shenethia, it is worth it. I cannot wait to complete the program and be into our first ever home.
My experience with NACA was very poor. I am actually left suspicious of what they are doing behind the scene as opposed to being different from the Banking sector they criticize for being discriminatory and abusive. NACA itself is very non-transparent and unaccountable. They use your information to help others. I learned my account was linked to a person struggling with paying mortgage while in reality I never had any mortgage and was first time home buyer. The customer service was worst and very fishy. A women who called herself Veneka spoke with me and was very rude, condescending and patronizing. Maybe my immigrant accent was enough to have me profiled. My account ID was 2043823 which they linked to a different person or something but very suspicious and not transparent organization! I would not be surprised soon they get sued for being corrupt. Wells Fargo was behaving in similar culture before it got exposed!
With rising home prices in Florida and neighboring counties, owning a home started to feel like a dream deferred. A friend recommended NACA, I'm so thankful to be working with my advisor to get qualified. As other reviewers have said, NACA's process is long and tedious but it is already so worth it. I am budgeting and saving better than ever and have completely changed my spending practices. I cannot recommend NACA enough to people who want to own a home. I am proud of how far I have come and cannot wait to start house hunting!
This process is very frustrating they take you through so much, so many hoops and loops. They are overwhelmed and backup with customers. They have a very old fashioned system and website. It is very repetitive. After awhile it just seems like you are going in circles. We have been in underwriting for almost 7 months. Be prepared for tons of disappointment, even of you provide them with every single piece of information they've asked you for.
The process is very frustrating!
With rising home prices in Los Angeles and neighboring counties, owning a home started to feel like a dream deferred. A trusted friend told me about NACA and I am so grateful I am working with my advisor to get loan qualified. As other reviewers have said, NACA's process is long and arduous but it is already so worth it. I am budgeting my finances better and have completely changed my spending practices. I cannot recommend NACA enough to people who want to own a home. I am proud of how far I have come and cannot wait to start house hunting!
They are a great resource for people with low income. I am very greatful for there help
Excellent experience today! Our advisor took his time & made sure we had all the answers to our questions! I absolutely love that they’re no the traditional company!
I have been in the process of rebuilding my life with home ownership being my dream. NACA has been anazing so far. I attended the class, learned so much and got to work on getting my paperwork together. I had everything uploaded that I could before my councelsor meeting so things went very smoothly. The more you work on your business the better, it makes it easier to get things going. The faster you upload items needed and don't procrastinate the faster the process. It is a journey but do you part and NACA definitely does their part. So far I have a couple more items I got today after my call to work on but they will be completed asap. Thank you NACA as a single woman you are giving me a light at the end of such a long tunnel.

Aug 20,2022My wife and I have been going through the home buying process with NACA for about year. The process is stressful but doable. She has been keeping me informed of the progress we make each time she meets with a housing counselor. The housing counselor has walked her through each step of the documentation needed and this has been very helpful. We're almost at the finish line and I'm excited. Gary
