Jan 05,2025My elderly mother (21years of age x 4) hesitantly made a purchase for the very first time on line (with a little help). Her son had made an earlier purchase and proposed the Oak Furniture Superstores website for a replacement side board. We did look at other sites as well but my brother was correct. The OFS is wonderful and inclusive, so we stopped there and my mother could actually see the different furniture items, understood the dimensions, the colours are vibrant and we could see the hues and shades, to the extent she could see that her chosen unit matched the colour of her interior doors. Not all the sites we viewed were that clear. The pricing was visible and simple and the payment was easy too. Just like the bigger high end companies, but significantly better priced for the same quality products. So my mother presented her financial details for her very first online purchase, though she was still nervous that her order would arrive broken or damaged in some way - though I couldn't see how an online or in shop purchase would make a difference to the state of how her purchase would arrive. Her unit arrived within a few days, on the notified day and within the time slot. Upon my mother’s request, the delivery men, after bringing in the unit, removed the packaging, so she could see if her side board was undamaged - she's had bad experiences in the past. The unit was in perfect condition (no assembly needed - just like the high end companies ) and she was very grateful, relieved and incredibly impressed with the superb quality of her new “lovely”, ”beautiful”, “I can hand this down”, “this will last centuries - because its wood”, “you can sand down any marks" rustic solid wood harrogate side board. She was surprised and happy with the exceptional high standard of care and consideration given by the delivery men. Based on her experience she purchased, the very next day a rustic solid wood dining table and wooden chairs from the Oak Furniture Superstore. When I read a thank you email from the CEO, Paul Isom a day later, she felt special. It was a nice touch. Generic isn't in her vocabulary but my mother believes (knows) she is a valued customer. “I’m only ever going to buy my furniture from Mr Isom because Mr Isum (her pronunciation 'preciates me and personally said thank you to me…”. So thank you OFS for making my mother’s first online purchase a great experience in every way. Your business will prosper in these challenging times.

Jan 05,2025Ordered a wardrobe and bedside cabinet, paid and also the postage for the 48hr delivery option. So after taking the day of work to remain home for the delivery only the bedside table arrived! Received a confusing email from courier company saying the wardrobe would not be coming at 9.45am, other item arrived 10.20am. I had to call you the seller at 12.50pm to chase what was happening to be told it had been loaded onto the wrong delivery truck and they would chase it and call back in a couple of hours. Nearly 4 hours later (over 6 hours from 1st email) receive a call to say can't locate it a 6ft tall 4ft wide very large wardrobe has been lost! And as it's a Friday it will be a long wait till Tuesday before another can be sent! I had asked the courier company if they deliver Saturday's and they said yes so could you have helped me out and arranged a delivery quicker as this was not my fault??I asked and this was dismissed by the call handler with yourself who I personally found rude and fairly unhelpful across my 2 phone conversations. I asked to cancel my order and get a refund to buy elsewhere as having to take another day off from work to wait for a delivery was not going to be easy to be told yes but I'd have to take a day off work again to be home for a collection of the 1 item that did arrive at their time schedule, so I was stuck either way I had to be home again no matter what. When I pointed out to the telephone operator that is paid for the 48 hour delivery and it didn't happen they did agree to refund the £29 but will have to wait and see if I get this(and it was my idea NOT put forward by the company staff member),but this alone does not cover the hassle factor and stress and let down I as a consumer are currently feeling with my treatment so far. Was planning on buying further furniture for other rooms but it's looking unlikely I shall spend any more money here if this is how I'm treated. I do understand this is courier related but after talking to them they blame this company for the mistake and all I know is it wasn't my mistake, only possible mistake I made was buying from you his company. In response to reply, there is no partial to pick up, 2 items were ordered, only 1 item was delivered.so missing 1 full item and received 1 full item. please feel free to ring me on the work phone number i gave to your phone rep.its the 01728 (8.30-6.00) mon-fri if you wish to speak to me, thankyou. After initial issues customer service contacted me and the result was so much more satisfying. Constant checking and communication to ensure my original issue was resolved and couldn't happen again, and a little sweetener to boot. Even the courier firm were very helpful this time as well. If only it had all gone like this from the start of would be 5 stars but feel 4 is a fair result now after the initial 1 star treatment. Jan 04,2025The furniture is lovely to look at & so well made. I appreciate the need for protective packaging, but didn't realise the mountain of cardboard, polystyrene & cling film there was. Also it needs two strong people & a lot of room, to part-assemble the wardrobe, which was unexpected as I bought it thinking it was ready assembled. Apart from this, it was delivered on date & time given, to the room of choice. I fully recommend this company.

Jan 02,2025I previously ordered from Oak Superstore but had to cancel because of the time frame for receiving stock. They understood and gave me a refund. I have since reordered the same stuff realising that this was what I wanted and nothing else came close with quality.

Jan 02,2025Product arrived and was put together in jig time, looks lovely and is so sturdy, would loved to have given you 5 stars but your delivery was unfortunately not great, hours after the allotted time for delivery, I realise things can happen but everybody had my mobile and could have just maybe have given me a phone to say when they would be arriving, delivery company is independent of yourselves I realise but it still affects your overall experience, I just would like to say when the delivery eventually arrived the guys were excellent.
