Apr 17,2024Well.. where do i start. Booked 3rd party through Ocean Holidays via our local rep. We went to Florida on 23rd March for 2 weeks via Aer Lingus from Manchester. Flights: Got pre-booked seats, however when we checked in lady on the desk said we haven't got seats booked and my whole family of 9 were put all around the plane including a 2 year old and 4 year old on their own. Utter disgrace, no child meals (didn't tell us you needed to pre-book) either. Car: Fast forward, we then landed, checked in with Hertz who told us they have no car? we have paid and pre-booked an 8 seater!!! we were then made to pay for additional insurances etc to get a different car which took 2 and half hours to sort after enduring a bad 10 and half hour flight. Villa: This is where it goes majorly down hill. So once we finally got to our 'executive villa' we found out the place was on the market, and my gosh couldn't you tell. All furniture was filthy, all outdoor furniture was rusty and unusable unless you want transfer to your clothes. it was a 5 bedroom villa but actually a 4 bedroom villa with the office converted into a bedroom. (all bathrooms were larger than this little box room) the whole place smell of damp, fridge water dispenser didn't work, blinds were missing and broke in every room!, washing machine was broken, light bulbs were out, fire/smoke alarms were removed from ceilings (yes can you believe it) the pool was utterly disgusting, full of worms and litter beyond belief. Pump wasn't working, surround sound didn't work, lighting to outside and bar didn't work, all bushes around property were so overgrown the cars were almost on the road and we couldn't walk down the paths. We complained and complained and complained. We hit almost 30 emails whilst on holiday. Anyway fast forward 4 days into our 14 day holiday (yes 4 days) we finally got the pool cleaned. So my whole family were without the pool for nearly the first week of holiday. We then had an Ocean rep turn up who sold us a dream and made sure it would all be fixed. Well.... as much use as a chocolate fire guard, he didn't sort a thing. Towards the end of the holiday we were offered a 1% money back on the cost of the holiday, which was laughable, we are now going down a different route for compensation. This holiday was over £30k, and my family of 9 had a miserable villa. The spec and data sheet of the villa describes it as executive and amazing with this and that, but reality nothing worked. No wonder they are selling up. Overall I wouldn't recommend this company if they were the only holiday firm going, good luck if you have booked through them and have any issues. Villa was on Coventry road of the Estates Legacy Park Davenport

We’re travelling to Florida next year and as part of a larger group, because of that our holiday needs were changing by the hour as everyone had differing wants! Victoria remained really patient and extremely helpful throughout, taking on board all of our needs and offering advice and suggestions on options. The service provided by Victoria has been way beyond what I expected.
