Jun 14,2024Beautiful villa as advertised! A great Sardinian experience. Great location with easy access to Unesco and historic sites as well a miles of beautiful beaches. Since the villa was part of a resort we had the added bonus of daily housekeeping service. Made for a very enjoyable holiday!

Jun 13,2024This villa is in a fantastic location. Views are amazing, the walkability into the town of Oia is really important and rare! Loved the Villa, Jackie was fanastic to deal with, and it was overall a really great first experience with Oliver's Travels.

Jun 13,2024The villa is very spacious and clean, the pool and the area around it are lovely. It was a bonus to have the small kids pool too. The kitchen was fairly well equipped and we enjoyed the big barbecue. It was a bit of a walk to Caveoeiro (gorgeous town) and the beach, but once we discovered how easy Uber is in the area, and how charming the taxi drivers are, we were even happier with the location. There is a great family restaurant close by (Luisa's) as well as a convenient small supermarket, and a local bar. It was odd that there were no instructions or recommendations in the house, no information about rubbish/recycling or how things work, and no helpful tips on transport, local amenities etc. We worked it out, but feel we would have explored more if we had more intel up front. The villa manager was a bit absent, but did respond quickly when we had an issue with the aircon. Overall it was a fabulous holiday and we would recommend highly.

Jun 12,2024Very pleasant welcome although could also have done with more written guidance as plenty to take in when being shown round. Great house and garden/surroundings in most respects; local village not much to get excited about out of season although found two good restaurants. Lovely swimming-pool and Ronaldo was excellent in looking after it and all cleaning in the house daily (except kitchen which was left to us). It's an old house and so some minor problems: the plug in the basin of the bedroom ensuite I stayed in was not functioning so wet shaving was tiresome. On the first day there didn't seem to be any hot water; there was a leak in the downstairs toilet which took a day to get sorted. One of the kitchen hobs didn't work and one of the rings on the other hob wouldn't stay alight.

He has been very patient with me!! cant wait for this holiday, I hope it is as good as the service I have received so far.

Jun 11,2024We were using Oliver’s Travels for the first time since we were under the impression that we were dealing with a premium top of the market holiday rental company. Unfortunately our expectations were set too high and not only did the Villa fall short of our expectations but the description of the configuration was inaccurate and misleading. Strange, since they claim they vet all properties! On further investigation we discovered that we could have booked directly for €500 less for the week. It is not clear what value Oliver’s Travels are adding. It appears that they apply a 25% mark up compared with a direct booking with the owner, which on a large property can be substantial. My advice is to avoid this company since they offer no real value and are simply a facilitator for the booking. The contract is not with them, it is with the owner and once they have their money you are on your own!

Jun 09,2024Although Vanessa and Rob are excellent hosts, very accommodating and friendly we found the chateau be cold and dirty. Our bedroom although photo perfect filled has an infestation of stink bugs that crawled over the bedding and clothing. My clothing and the bedding felt damp. The Heather room was damp and obvious signs of water ingress. The wardrobe is filled with personal belongings as the cupboards in the rest of the house. The room with the adjoining bedroom used by my grandson was particularly damp feeling. The fridge and freezer contained the families food. The furniture in the lounge area was particularly old and tatty. It was unfortunate that the barn area had collapsed which we are understanding of but this caused power loss to the outside bar and dartboard area, but also the fairy lights batteries has expired, therefore this area could not be used in the evenings. We were not aware of the busy main road which prevented us cycling with the children. The overall presentation of the Chateau was disappointing for the cost.

Jun 06,2024Villa fully lived up to description given and our expectation.Everything we required was to hand. Setting with beautiful view and quiet surroundings was worthy of a skilled artist! We used the railway for easy access to visit towns along the coast with its beautiful views along the coast. Concierge service at home and abroad was excellent.
