Jan 09,2025On Monday evening I made a provisional reservation for 48 hours. The following morning I received a phone call asking if I needed any help in continuing with my reservation. My questions were answered. Later that morning I phoned back to complete the booking process. The holding time gave me the opportunity to check the dates with the rest of my family, which was helpful and took the stress out booking.

Jan 07,2025We had a fabulous holiday. The only negatives was the pick up from Lanzarote Airport. We had to wait more than 30 minutes for the driver to arrive. The only other issue was that we couldn't find the external bin, so we had to walk half a mile to dispose of the bin bags of rubbish.

Jan 07,2025This was my first time booking with Olivers Travels, so as can be appreciated, I was a little apprehensive. This was however short lived, after receiving a swift and helpful response from Jacqueline Torrisi my sales contact. Jacqueline provided all the details and information about the Villa, area etc.. And within a short time we were booked in, no pressure sales just good old fashioned customer service! Despite it being Christmas and New Year, Jacqueline was there, responding to my emails and queries without hesitation. After a couple of hiccups, merely technical she rectified the situation and we were all booked up and sorted. The properties are stunning and very competitive price wise too! They are all, I believe hand selected by the company, and therefore peace of mind is given. In a nutshell... Great company, professional helpful and certainly get my vote....I'm sure I will be back. Jan 04,2025A beautiful riad that looks exactly like the pictures. The team of staff on site were wonderful and extremely helpful providing perfect support to our party. Food was excellent, location brilliant being a few minutes from the main action. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Jan 04,2025The booking process was smooth, also the concierge service was efficient in communication. A few negatives though; In the brochure it says heated pool, there was no information in the manual of the house, after checking it worked out that we had to order the pool to be heated at extra costs, it take several days to warm up, the agency mentioned Oliver;s did not request us to heat the pool, to start the heating (minimum 5 days costs) for the last 3 days of our stay made simply no sense. There is a big problem with ants in the house, we used to live in Asia, so we know all about insects and (sub) tropical climates. However in this villa you cannot leave any foods anywhere, except for the fridge, I stored some bread in the micro wave hoping it would be safe, but it wasn't. As there is no Tupperware in the kitchen it was impossible to store sugar, or any food that was not 100% sealed, you will also find the ants in the sleeping room or anywhere else, so do not leave anything, no drinks and so on. Last, everything in the Villa was tired, the barbecue broken down, the umbrella pole broken, the glass garden table top cracked and so on, not the quality we where hoping for.

Jan 09,2025Thank you Oliver’s Travels for helping us find Les Cerf the perfect rental in the Loire Valley. Our three generation family is still on a high after our week long stay at this beautiful chateau. We needed a place to accommodate 15 people from ages 2-75, a space to gather together at the end of the day, outside and inside recreation areas, a large dining room and a location within an hour’s drive to the chateaus we wanted to visit . We feel that with help from agents both in the US and abroad we did find the perfect vacation spot. Chateau Les Cerf is a large, well maintained property with many assets. The spacious living room with a grand piano, French antiques and European tapestries, the modern den with tv and games, the numerous bedrooms, large bathrooms, a separate building with billiards, games and a walk in fireplace with beautiful well tended gardens in a large outdoor area made this chateau fun for all. Even in grey cold November the gardens had a seasonal appropriate look and were a favorite place for outdoor play and soccer games. The property’s lanes and less traveled roads were the ideal place for bike rides for all ages. The chateau’s estate manager , Alec, was invaluable for the role he played in making this trip so special. Immediately he set up a zoom call to introduce himself and to give us a full briefing on the lay out of the chateau’s interior and exterior, offering suggestions for sites to see in the area, information about chateaus that would be open and decorated for the holidays, arranging bike rentals, soccer goals to be delivered and, most importantly, recommending the brilliant team of Chef Claire and her sommelier husband, Yves. . We could not have been more pleased with the meals, wines and table decor that awaited us each evening. Claire did an amazing job of creating a wide variety of French cuisine for 8 adults and another version of the meal for 7 children. It was a joy to start dinner with appetizers like fresh oysters from Brittany, followed by a main course equal to that found in a Parisian restaurant , all served with wines selected by Yves. If I had one suggestion for a table decor refresh it would be a new set of dining cutlery. Claire brought her own supply which was a welcome addition. These three people, Alec, Claire and Yves are not only professional in every way but genuinely kind knowledgeable people who left us all with gratitude for the many ways they made this vacation the best we’ve had in Europe. Thank you Oliver’s Travels, Alec, Claire and Yves for a week that made life long wonderful memories. We hope to return in summer when the gardens surrounding the property are in full bloom and the tennis court and pool are open.
