DO NOT BOOK WITH OVAGO. Customer service is horrific. I paid for economy essentials and they gave me economy light. FALSE ADVERTISING. Reached out 3 times and still haven't gotten an answer. These people will just ghost you when confronted with any problem. 6 hours later now...still haven't gotten a response.

Each time I call 888-946-3882, the representative would say they will "transfer" me, to a connection that will just hang up. This was an issue with a flight ticket that was already booked, and I was just asking for more information. I spoke to "Almer" and "Ajack" on 11/07/2023 at around 8-9 am and 4 pm PST respectively. I felt the service after the purchase was not very good.

Update: Ovago reached out but told me they couldn't help me because of "policies." Is it your policy to forget about the seats people request? Can't you do anything other than say sorry? Working with an intermediary hasn't been a good experience. They say "policies" and then when I go to the airline they say talk to OVAGO. I won't be using OVAGO again. Good price. Nice interface. Selected my seats for a 17 hour flight and they never processed them. So I got stuck with a middle seat. It was premium economy and they could have downgraded me to economy for a non middle seat but told me they couldn’t. They should have been on top of getting the seats I requested with the airline.

I chatted with Davin as I was trying to book biz class seats for SFO-LIS. He offered me a quote on TAP air Executive Biz class. I asked how much it will be for the TOP Executive Biz class & gave me a quote. I asked why his quote is so much higher than their online (thru Google Flights search) price & he gave me a discount (thru the TEAM, I don't know which team he is talking about). I confirmed with him a few times before I booked thru the link he gave me if the price was really TOP Executive Biz class & he said yes after confirming with his TEAM. After waiting for more than an hour (which is very unusual for bookings with other travel agents) I checked & found that our tickets were booked as just the regular Executive Biz class. I contacted them again & was told by Raavi that there is no difference between the two Biz class levels. And she kept insisting that. I then spoke with Clive & was told that there is no distinction in their system. There is only Economy & Business. This is then a total misrepresentation/fraud if they're selling the different levels of fares when they know that their system cannot identify between levels & just hope that the clients are dumb enough to just ignore the differences. I cancelled the tickets even tho they're cheaper than other agencies. Don't want to deal with agencies who try to scam people.

UPDATE: Thanks to a very brave agent from LATAM airlines, I got my etickets issued 1,5 hours (!) prior to departure (after Ovago was not able to help me for 4 months!). She was convincing her supervisor to issue the tickets from their end although LATAM airlines was actually not authorized to do so since the tickets were under control of Ovago. If I had relied on the ‚services‘ of Ovago, I still would be stuck in Rome! It’s a shame that Ovago now is pretending they were able to resolve the issue, because they were doing absolutely nothing for me. Quote: ‚We are uncertain when we will receive the flight confirmation because the trip is urgent.‘; ‚ We do understand your worries, and I want to ensure you that we are closely monitoring your case with the team.‘ And that was all. When I asked them to at least refund my phone costs for the useless calls with their customer service (one agent e.g. just dropped the call as the issue seemed too complicated for him), I was just offered a 50$ Ovago voucher instead. Thanks for nothing! I will never use this company again so this stupid voucher is not a fair solution at all. I still recommend everyone to avoid this company at all costs. They might be okay, if your flight schedule does not get changed (and they basically don’t have to do anything at all). But as soon as you receive a schedule change, you might be screwed as they apparently don’t know how to send you updated etickets. Don’t ruin your holidays, just book elsewhere! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I booked a flight to South America from Rome. I live in Germany so I had to book additional flights to Rome plus accommodation. The flight times were changed and I was reaching out to the Customer Service already in June to confirm the new flights as I was fine with the changes. But nothing at all has happened. Around two weeks ago I started to contact Ovago more extensively as the issue was becoming urgent. Since than I had countless interactions with the Ovago customer service but everybody just tried to buy time and was unable to assist. However, I was ensured that this will be fixed and I can travel to South America on 5th of November as planned. Now Ovago is still not able to re-issue the new ticket. The flight is supposed to leave this evening but I still don’t have any tickets. My holidays are screwed, I can’t cancel my days off from work anymore and now I’m stuck in Rome. When I asked the Ovago agent on the phone, how I can ask for a refund for all the extra expenses I had, he just dropped the call. Please avoid this company! You will lose money and your days off for no reason instead of enjoying your holidays. Unfortunately, now I still have to deal with this company to get all my extra expenses refunded, which probably will be quite tough after the interactions with the Customer Service. I will still follow-up on this, even legally if needed. This company just can’t get away with this. It’s a shame how customers are treated!

Wow, amazing people. Cormac from Ovago was a very great guy. He made life so easy for me. He helped book a flight ticket for my friend within 20 minutes. He got me the best airline, and my friend would depart in less than 24 hours. That was the closest date that I ever got.

So things do change, what I thought was a great experience, turned out to be an embarrassing lack of faith. I do believe that I received the best possible price for my trip. After that, not so great. Multiple phone calls for confirmation, long waiting periods for responses, and they had very little knowledge of seat placement or booking. As if they were on the first day at the job. So sad. However, Edmas went over and above his duties to insure when booking our flight to the Philippines would suit our every need. From start to finnish he was courteous and polite, with his job! I would recommend Edmas if you were to book with this company as a customer service representative.Thank you Edmas!

Highly recommend Ovago; more specifically, I recommend working with Buzz who is an enthusiastic champion if you should ever run into any unfortunate circumstances with your airline! He'll work tirelessly to sort your issue and is a fantastic advocate to have on your side.

I requested a cancelation of my BUSINESS CLASS flight and I was informed that I would only be eligible for a refund of 7% of my total payment. I am out THOUSANDS of dollars. had I booked directly with the airline, I would have been refunded. I have been trying to get my flight canceled with OVAGO for 3 days and no one has helped me. Every representative told me they could not assist me and that I would need to wait to be contacted. WORST EXPERIENCE. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.

I will never use them or AIG safe gaurd insurance that they use. There is zero cancelation no matter what, and you'll get less then half of what you paid

They are a scam they will sell you a travel insurance with the hopes of you not canceling your flight. Fake promises to sell you travel insurance. You will be stressed for days with them taking you around the loop. I had to call my bank and provide them emails between me and them after they sold me a useless travel insurance. Because Ovago was no help. They told me to provide them with Dr. note when i told them i am sick and unable to travel. I gave them 2 different Drs. note which i think is not legal to ask your customers. You do not have to provide anything for canceling your flight. They are a scam they will keep calling you to sell you travel insurance because they dont have customers so they make money through selling travel insurance and seat upgrades. All is fake. Becareful!!
