Dec 08,2016Oyster Worldwide helped me have the best summer of my life. This was my first trip abroad by myself and I met some incredible people and went to a beautiful little town in Canada called Banff. The reason why I had such a great time was because of how well Oyster Worldwide set me up for my 3 months in Banff. They took the stress out of process of getting a job, accommodation and successfully getting a visa. They are very informative and you can tell that they have done this many times before at how efficient they are at giving you the information. I do not feel I could have been any more prepared than I was which helped when I was suffering from jet lag. Oyster Worldwide really do take good care of you. I did not need the help of my supervisor whilst I was out in Banff but I felt that if I had needed them then they would have been able to provide the help I would have needed. With regards to the job I did which was house keeping. I will confess that it is not the most glamorous job in the world but the great thing about it is the people you meet from across the world. You meet people from all corners of the world which provides you with a great excuse to do future traveling. I would highly recommend Oyster Worldwide for all first time travelers.

Dec 06,2016I had a great time volunteering via oyster in the wildlife friends foundation trust in Thailand. Hard work but an unforgetable experience. I helped to take care of abused elephants, who could no longer adapt to living in the wild. This project seemed legitimiate, but does it mean that all animal projects offered by oyster are trully animal friendly? Not so sure if volunteering in such institutions as zoo, making money of animals exploitation, are not actually the form of cruelty? I think oyster should thorouhly research of the volunteering programs that they offer and not promoting zoos but only 100% legitimate and thoroughly checked sanctuaries and conservation projects.

I booked it through Oyster Worldwide and they were very helpful with the process and gave me all the information I required and also answered all the questions I had. Upon arriving in South Africa, I knew what to expect and I had the best trip ever

Nov 30,2016I have done two conservation projects through Oyster and both of them have been excellent. From the minute you make an enquiry via the website, the team are available to talk to, answer your queries and help you make the right decision. Support before, during and after the project is excellent, with nothing left to chance. Both projects have been excellent, working with local charities, not large corporates who do not have a face. You get an opportunity to understand the conservation challenges they face and to contribute your time and energy to make a difference. I would definitely recommend Oyster if you are considering voluntary work in the future.

Nov 24,20162 weeks in Costa Rica volunteering with turtles was fabulous but the lack of information and incorrect information I was given was staggering. I was shown photos of one project and sent to another where I was expected to sleep in a dorm of 4 which was growing mould on the mattresses when I had specifically expressed that I was happy to share with one other person providing that person was female. When we got there it took 7 days of asking for excursions before anything was organised, and even then one of them wasn't available, one of them wasn't possible and one couldn't be done because someone "forgot" to ask about it - I felt like if the information had been correct and people more motivated to help the volunteers I would have got a lot more out of my trip

Oct 17,2016Amazing rewarding experience volunteering at the Libearty Bear Sanctuary in Zarnesti. We were allowed access to areas that the general public don't go and made friendships with the keepers and workers that enhanced the experience. I felt perfectly safe and supported as I roamed around Brasov and examined this beautiful city at the base of the Carpathian Mountains. Oysters accommodation was more than adequate and having a contact like Razvan made the whole trip memorable indeed. the work can be messy and the hike up to the food prep area is taxing but oh so worth it. I would happily recommend this experience to anyone.

Oct 16,2016Oyster Worldwide have been very impressive in assisting me with my travel in Canada, both before and after departure. The complex process of applying for a Canadian work visa was made considerably easier by their expertise, and we were well prepared for the challenge of living and working on our own. Once we were in Canada the support network was excellent, our lovely representative helped us in setting up bank accounts and getting national insurance numbers, and in any subsequent issues which we faced. Excellent service which I would recommend to anyone who wants to experience independent life in a new country.

Oct 14,2016Absolutely fabulous time. Met some lovely people. The sanctuary is such a lovely peaceful place, the staff are friendly. The work is not difficult and it is so relaxed there that you can take time out to wonder round the sanctuary. 2 weeks was definitely not enough time, I wish I had booked longer. Razvan is great, he is there for you through your whole experience. If you love animals then this is a good adventure to book on.

Dec 08,2016My fortnight in Romania was a wonderful experience. Oyster Worldwide ensured a smooth and informative organisation of all details from pre-trip matters to day-to-day activities in Romania. The bear sanctuary is a serene haven in a scenic, forested setting; volunteer accommodation is in a beautiful part of the city of Brasov. All in all it was an experience I'd love to repeat.
