Sep 06,2016I spend five weeks at a wildlife sanctuary in Thailand (WFFT) near to Hua Hin as volunteer. It was just awesome! The animals, the peoples, the location and the organisation. I can just recommend everyone to do something like this! One of my most fulfilling experience ever! Oyster Worldwide was all the time very professional, courteous and friendly. It was totally easy to book and the excellent staff always answered my questions quickly and competently. Thanks Oyster and a big thank you to Anne!!! I would definitely do it again!

Sep 06,2016So glad I booked through this company as they were one of the best in terms of value for money, I went to South Africa for two weeks volunteering with baboons and vervet monkeys and I was given so much help organising everything, the lady who I was emailing (I think her name was Harriet) made me feel like no question was too silly! I did book quite last minute but I was provided with a welcome pack and so much information there was nothing missing! Would definitely book with them again for my next adventure:)

Sep 06,2016Oyster helped me organise going to Banff, Canada in November, the work they put in to help us get the visas was fantastic and especially how they were always available by email or phone if I had any further questions. The amount of work they put in providing us with information we would need was vital and having a breifing day at a beautiful hotel to meet my group and the Oyster team made it worth the money (also great having someone else organise flights, getting to Banff and accommodation for a few days while we set up bank accounts and social numbers). There was a slight issue getting some of the team through immigration but the Oyster Team worked through the night to sort it out!!! They helped me secure a job at the Fairmont Banff Springs, the most famous hotel in Canada! And they helped to support me while I had Pneumonia for 2 months! I've been in Canada for an extra 4 months now and it's been wonderful, Oyster Team (especially Jon) you're amazing!

Aug 31,2016I volunteer with Oyster and have worked at the bear sanctuary in Brasov, Romania on 3 consecutive occasions. Next year will be my 4th trip. I have loved working for Oyster as they are professional, safe, helpful and friendly plus everything is well-organised for you, from the point of contact, transfer pick-ups at the airport to your accommodation. My first point of contact was with Anne Smellie regarding the bear sanctuary and she has been wonderful to work with - well-organised, friendly and always helpful. Initially, I assumed that Oyster was organisation who arranged trips just for gap year students (which they do) but they also welcome applications from older people (like myself) and retired people too. I would recommend Oyster to anyone (and I do) as they are great team to work for. Thank you.

Aug 23,2016I was given a sabbatical from work, as an animal lover I couldn't think of anything better then working with/for them. Having looked at a few companies Oyster seemed to fit the bill perfectly and I was not wrong! If you are looking for similar projects these are your guys. They work in conjunction with APE Malaysia (you can find them on facebook) who are just amazing at what they do. I really felt I made a difference, I cried when I left (and at various other points in the project) and I miss it like crazy! Thank you for making my experience one I will never forget. Gemma Lewis

Aug 19,2016Absolutely first class service from start to after the end of my volunteering with a friendly and very professional team.This was my first experience as a volunteer.Oyster made the whole programme so simple with step by step guidance notes as to how to plan the travel arrangements, inoculations and other health requirements,what to pack and what to expect.Their information packages are second to none,so informative and the team answered any queries promptly.The team at Oyster,in my opinion, rock and I recommend anyone to use them.

Aug 06,2016I did the pre-vet experience in Soith Africa. Unfortunately the veterinarian was only on site once or twice a weekand and there were too many of us to gain any useful experience. It is also cheaper to book your trip directly through Kwantu.

By the time I left for my trip, there wasn't anything I felt unsure about and that was down to oyster. They also kept in contact throughout the trip and afterwards to see how I was getting on, highly reccomend them.

Aug 06,2016When I looked into booking a volunteer trip with Oyster Worlwide, I was initially hesitant as it was something new to me, however Anne and Jon were very welcoming, and answered all my questions of which there were many! They even touched based as I departed for my trip as well as kept in touch while I was away (Romania, Bear Sanctuary). There was follow up after the trip as well. While in Romania everything was well organized to make one feel comfortable being away from home or travelling alone. The project Leader was also available by phone/email or in person to help out with anything needed. I am not a "gap year " traveller but this company still looked after me and my best interests and I have recommended them to many friends, including those with kids that may be looking for a gap year experience.
