From the start of my search for an apartment with Pangea Real Estate, there has been many inconsistencies within the entire process. I was scheduled for a showing and I arrived on time, early actually and there was no one there to show me the apartment, which caused waste of my time and gas. All they could say was sorry and rescheduled the showing. That was just the first red flag that I ignored. Secondly after finally finding a unit that was perfect for me,I paid my move in fee and signed the lease. I was scheduled to come in on the first of March for move in day and to pick up my keys, I was told to bring my first months rent in the form of a money order as I did. I got to the office and there were many others there waiting to pick up keys, and I waited over 2 hours there to receive my keys. Even though they had keys, lease, and all other documents just sitting behind the desk ready and prepared to go, the lady in the office wasn’t calling anyone’s names her and the other employees were just talking and laughing amongst one another. Absolutely unprofessional, and a lack of respect for their tenants time. After finally receiving keys and going to the unit, I found roaches in the unit. Had to schedule for pest control to come out and handle the issue. All maintenance requests take 1-3 business days to be completed which I think is ridiculous considering the unit should have been inspected before move in as I thought it was. There were also several other things I had to contact maintenance about which is ridiculous, also the unit had absolutely NO HEAT on or working in the unit since first day of move in. Mind you this is Illinois and this was during bitter temps outside, had to wear my coat in the unit until someone came out to fix it. Absolutely ridiculous. They also claimed I owe first months rent when that is impossible because in order to receive keys you have to bring first months rent in a money order. After calling and calling to get them to correct my account they finally corrected the issue. This is because of incompetence on their end. They don’t process things as they should in a timely manner. They also have a late fee on my account because they didn’t put my first rent payment in on time although it was paid on time, and they have a application fee still on my ledger although that’s impossible as well because the apps are online and you pay with a credit or debit card as I have. This is extremely unprofessional and it shows they have no concern on keeping up with payments or documents. It’s absolutely SAD. Also my vehicle was towed from their property because they said it didn’t have a parking sticker on it, although I was told by the woman in the office on move in day that they didn’t have any parking stickers available at the time and you would have to come back at a later date to pick up one. Also the street my building is on is reserved for the homes on the block so you can’t park there so I had to park my vehicle in tenant parking because however I am a TENANT! My vehicle was towed by their third party towing company, at 3:00 AM and I paid $218.50 to get my vehicle back. This caused me to miss a full day of work and for me to come out of pocket for parking my vehicle in tenant parking although I am a TENANT. Absolutely ridiculous and careless on their end, parking stickers should have been available on key pick up day. They also make you put down vehicle info make, model, and year on the app, and yet and still they still tow your vehicle. The resident care team although every rep I’ve come in contact with has been very nice, they are hardly much help. They just leave messages for your property manager that’s it that’s all, and that takes 1-3 business days for your property manager to get in contact with you. They have made this entire process extremely stressful as their are too many inconsistencies and mistakes on their end, and they want you to be the victim of it and just deal with it. No respect for their tenants, their time, or the fact that you chose to rent with them, trust me their are a lot of other options out there. The staff in the office that is assigned to me isn’t any help whatsoever. She acts like you are bothering her or getting on her nerves which doesn’t make me feel welcome at all. A total bad experience. I’ve seen the bad reviews for them before I decided to go through with them, but I still decided to give them a try and I must say the reviews are right. I hope it gets better for me as I am with them for a year on my lease.
I’m just now setting everything up but I love my place .
I like the help i received when i was going through the process of applying for my townhome. My agent made things very easy. My showing of the townhomes were fun and full of information. I was very grateful for the professional but kindness,my family was shown. Thank you Pangea for everything.

So far has been a good first month in my apartment except for tha email and the letter on my door about 400 dollars that I do not owe I already paid my security deposit bt overall I’m satisfied in my apartment
After the approval process, I hadn’t quite made a decision on which apartment I wanted. But Kayla was very patient with scheduling showings for me. Lakila that works in the office answered all my questions with a smile during my lease signing. I’ve been in my apartment about 2weeks now made a few request to have work orders done some have been done and some are still pending. Spoke with property manager seems quite nice and understanding. Outside of property needs more maintenance.
The process of finding an apartment with Pangea was excellent. The staff was dedicated in helping me find an apartment that fit my budget and I appreciate how patient and helpful they were. Once I moved in I had a few issues but the maintenance staff took care of them all within a day of me reporting the issues and I really appreciated that.

I was getting really frustrated with my apartment search. Either the apt wasn’t completely ready, scammers or not up to standards. I looked at apartments in the same location but this one I loved. It was up to standard and even though it was a bit higher than I intended on paying I’m glad I took it. The crew themselves were so Amazing and professional. I really love my I'll point Maine eighties really nice and I'm not more than all time song but it really be nice if we Head Washer and dryer hook up in our units
Pangea has an abundance of properties throughout Chicago for various budgets. They have nice units and the neighborhoods they serve are diverse. However, the company overall lacks communication within its offices, they tend to be highly unorganized, and they can be slow at getting back to you (about request and other information).
Very helpful staff, professional and polite.
I love the community and the people that live here. It is a quiet place to live and safe. Staff is awesome and personable. Very dog friendly.
I had a good experience besides the mailbox issue but overall I like the building and the process was fast
My experience with management has been quite amazing actually. They communicate well with me and I’ve found that all my questions have been answered. I also really love how when I needed something fixed around the house, they would be really quick to help me get it fixed which is super urgent. Pangea itself has been extremely kind to me and helpful throughout this entire process. I appreciate it!
I am very happy with my Pangea and my new home. Everyone is helpful and this has been a great decision for my family and myself.
