Made a quick call to check stock, tootled down there, was in and out in well under 10 minutes and had the tumble dryer loaded into the car for me. Excellent service, and I was home in less time that a mixed cotton wash!! many thanks!!

Great experience. I bought Bosch extractor Hood and Induction Hob. Both items cost over £2000. I was hesitating to by online as I was not familiar with this shop. I found a cheaper deal online but 2 companies had bad reviews and third had similar ratings to Paul Davies but there was a charge for delivery. I chose Paul Davies as the delivery cost was free. I paid Pay Pal but it was not stated of which items were bought on the Pay Pay statement. Additionally, I did not get confirmation of my order by email. I called the next day. Customer service was very nice and polite. I was informed to check my spam box and bingo. My confirmation was there. The company contacted me to arrange a delivery date in the next couple of weeks. However, they were not delivering convince day to my postcode. I enquired that and they had the backup delivery company but the curved delivery only. My items were delivered on the agreed time and a driver called 1-hour prior delivery. What I have to say - the excellent experience. I can recommend it without any reservations.

A great shopping experience from start to finish. Excellent choice of range Cookers , found exactly what we wanted at a great price! Would recommend! Paul Davies have a wide range of appliances, staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and know the products very well, they guided me into buying the right appliance for my needs. Overall a very productive and happy experience.

You are probably already familiar with this kind of company. On the plus side, prices look good, often very good. The catch is that there is little or no after sales- it is simply not part of their ‘business model’. Once the deal has gone down, that’s it. Regardless of the validity of your complaint or concern, they will regard you with indifference, irritation or contempt. In other words, the customer bears the risk. This uncertainty, together with the chance of saving cash, turns customer into gambler. This is fine if you are prepared to take the hit, but with large appliances you need to consider the situation you might end up in if something goes wrong. It sometimes seems that companies like this deliberately employ the most obtuse and unhelpful people as a kind of first line of defence against the threat of the disgruntled customer. In my case, despite admitting false advertising, and following a few non-committal twists and turns, they eventually denied being the retailer at all, claiming to be mere ‘agents’ of the distributor! Perhaps the lack of confirmation email complained of by other reviewers is relevant here. Do they (falsely) believe this releases them from contractual obligation? If so, a rookie error: confusing the contract itself with the text expressing its terms. I am genuinely puzzled by this way of doing things. Why does reputation mean so little to these companies that they are prepared to squander it? But perhaps the assumption is that (given probability of failure), they will have enough positive reviews to sway their target market, i.e. bargain hunters in a hurry. Us negative reviewers, on the other hand, are like craggy old men at the end of the bar, loathsomely huddled at the bottom of the TrustPilot charts, grim faced and bitter, our sighs and groans annoying enough if listened to but easy enough to ignore when drowned out by the gleeful giggles of those lucky enough to have grabbed a bargain. As I’ve said- it’s a white goods gamble. My advice is to pay the extra and go to a reputable dealer, while satisfying your gambling instincts by putting some money on a horse.

Although I live in Indonesia I needed a cooker for my home in the UK. Paul replied in person to my emails giving me options. As my cooker had broken on the 23rd December, I was worried my tenants would not have a cooker for Christmas, but Paul organised for the cooker to be delivered and fitted on the afternoon on the 24th December. Fantastic customer service, great price and fully reliable.

Recently I had a new kitchen fitted including an AEG stainless steel hob which was scratched. The fitting company tried to remove the scratches but made it worse! I looked online for an alternative and saw good reviews for an AEG glass hob HKB64NB540. Most places had sold out and I came across Paul Davies Kitchens and Appliances. I rang them up and they too were waiting upon a delivery.I ordered one and did not have to wait too long. The hob arrived at the time and date arranged. Excellent customer service from Paul Davies who I would definitely recommend and buy from again. The hob is stylish and much better than the stainless steel one. A great buying experience from this company - thank you.
