Apr 09,2025We used Pickfords for our recent home move. From the inset the admin staff were efficient and went out of their way to book us in for our required move date. On the day of the move they had a medical emergency, but contacted us before their arrival time to advise us of the situation. They said that they may be a little later, but reassured us that the move would go ahead as planned. The removal team did arrive a little later than planned, but wasted no time in getting the van loaded. Nothing was too much trouble and the job was completed as planned. Would highly recommend them. Apr 08,2025I was moving at a very busy time with the changes in stamp duty about to take place and they were flexible and changed the dates when my move date altered. The 3 guys who moved me were very efficient, friendly and professional and made the experience less stressful.

Apr 08,2025Excellent Pickfords team who came and packed up our house. They were with us for two days and were very helpful and treated everything with great respect. They also listened very well to our wishes and made us smile throughout the day. Sean the lorry driver was excellent too and met us at the new house at the agreed time. The Essex team were also very helpful and listened to us too. All highly recommended! Georgina our Midlands Customer Service Manager helped us from the first booking all the way through.

Apr 08,2025From start to finish the whole experience was well managed. Clear communication and I was made to feel at ease through what is usually such a stressful process! Carla and the team were amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better moving experience. Everything was straightforward from the initial phone consultation, the virtual walk around, invoicing, box delivery ahead of time, removal and storage process. Would highly recommend!

Apr 08,2025Pickfords has just helped to remove and store our house contents ahead of a renovation project. From start to finish the service has been excellent. Charlotte the move manager helped us understand the process, helped co-ordinate a warehouse visit and quickly and efficiently dealt with our numerous questions. The team for the two days consisting of Sam, Ken, Ken and for 1 day Owen were brilliant. Very professional, handled all of our possessions with care and were great to chat to. We would fully recommend the service based on this experience from the Tamworth facility.

Apr 08,2025Pickfords were very easy to deal & very professional. We were shipping some unusual items to New Zealand & they dealt with everything in a very proficient manner. Support by email, phone & video call were all very responsive. Couldn't have asked for better service. The consignment was picked & dispatched at the scheduled time & all has gone like clockwork. Would definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

Apr 08,2025Had my home move last month. Pickfords were fast, friendly and efficient. I'm glad I went with a reputable firm as it took much of the moving stress off my shoulders. The packing service was also money well spent.

From an initial, almost immediate call back, simple video quote, competitive price, clear comms and the team over the two days were superb - Warren, Keiran, Andy, Kai and Vince. Apr 07,2025Sadly, we're looking at our third move in 18 months. Having used Pickfords for the last two moves, we found them reasonably priced and super efficient. On the first move, from Derbyshire to Oxfordshire, they opted to supply a small van to transport team members and any overflow household goods, of which there none. The more recent move only required one truck. The first two moves cost around £4k each. Imagine my surprise when I received a quote of over £9k to move us back to Derbyshire. Somehow Pickfords opted to ignore the most recent move and decided we needed two large trucks. We may be retirees, but we are still able to recognise suspicious business practices when we see them. Update 1: Reply to Pickfords tap dance. As I stated above, Pickfords moved us across Oxfordshire using 1 truck approximately six months ago. I am perplexed on how the pricing to move roughly the same amount of goods now requires two trucks and the price quoted is more than twice what we paid six months ago. We can consider this a learning experience with Pickfords - caveat emptor...

The team of packers that came in were brilliant, super efficient and nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend them. From the start of discussions on the phone, to booking and then through to the final job of safely delivering our home contents….what a fantastic crew! Thank you!

Apr 07,2025We have no hesitation in recommending Pickfords to everyone that requires a competent, efficient removal company. From carefully packing our possessions in Kent and putting them into 8ft cubic boxes on their lorries, storing these huge crates in their warehouse and finally delivering to us in Lancashire the entire process has been effortless, with no double handing. All the staff we have met over the last 7 months, from the sales and office staff, to the packers and final delivery by Costin from the south have been excellent. We couldn’t have asked for more of a stress free experience than we received.

George, who masterminded the operation, kept me calm. When the crew turned up they were cheerful energetic and full of ideas. What I thought would be a nightmare turned into a fun morning! Excellent service with a smile!
