We were lucky enough to have Mike as our salesman, a lovely, genuine guy who went above and beyond for me to have the car I’ve always wanted! Nothing was too much trouble & would give me a ring to update me on anything- even the little things. Very happy with my purchase!
Mike Branson dealt with me when I visited Pinetree car Tonypandy. What a man!! Mike was so friendly, so welcoming, and extremely helpful!! The only issues we had was with the finance companies but Mike was extremely helpful and worked tirelessly to get everything resolved! Mike kept me in the loop of everything that was going on and couldn’t have been more helpful, he gave 110%! So pleased with my new car and a huge thanks to Mike for all of his help! I’m sure he’ll never forget this finance agreement that he worked on as I sent him round the mulberry bush, and he’ll know exactly what this is about haha! Thanks Mike fire all your help!He is a star and deserves a raise ⭐️ Extremely happy with my experience at Pinetree car and would recommend to anyone!
Sales experience OK. Rhyanne was helpful and very pleasant. However, you can only tell how good a place is when something goes wrong!! Approx 3 months after taking delivery of the car, the rear windscreen wiper motor failed and I discovered there was a lot of water ingress in the boot of the car. After doing some research, this is apparently a very common issue with Toyota Aygo’s and certainly something I would have been looking out for had I known. Car booked in with Pinetree to repair the motor and look at water ingress (which they said would do as a gesture of goodwill only as it wasn’t covered under the warranty). Even though it is covered under their legal obligations which they failed to mention. In the meantime car failed MOT due to seized caliper brake. I phoned to ask if they would pay for this and they kept fobbing me off by saying passed to Management and could not possibly give me any timescale for a response. I had to put a complaint in to get a substantive response which was no. So I got it sorted myself. Pinetree had the car from 12th December to 19th December to fix the motor and water ingress. They say they had fully water tested the car and it was water tight. I only wish I could attach photos of the “repair”. It came back in a far worse condition. It came back with 2 evident leaks into the boot (can see water flowing in), reverse camera disconnected & leads left hanging, full of mould & soaking wet carpets. Also bumper not put on properly & trim snapped in boot. I immediately called them and they asked for car back straight away. I agreed for them to take car back on 9th January ONLY if they agreed to fix ALL issues. In the interim, seatbelt alarm also going off intermittently which was only an issue after getting it back from them. I asked for quality check off before this car was released to me after the repair and they were unable to produce one but said they would start to implement a proper handover with immediate affect. This is something I would have assumed was standard but especially so from a dealership who say they deal with quality cars. I sent a list on 9th Jan (day car was returned to them) of works to be done. I added for them to look at cruise control (which had never worked) & seatbelt alarm. They refused by saying issues raised after 5 months of having the car and I would have to book it into an RAC garage for the seatbelt alarm issue (despite it only being an issue since their attempt at repair). They also wanted me to sign a form showing the works I agreed to and also saying that I would be liable for the costs of repair. At this point I told them that this was not acceptable to me and that I wished to reject the car as is my right as I had not yet had the car for 6 months. I told them twice that same day that I wished to reject the car and therefore withdrawing my agreement to repairs. I copied in Customer Complaints. On 11th January still no response so sent a formal rejection letter to Customer Complaints. On 12th January, they sent an email saying work all completed and would let me know when car ready to pick up. I replied by saying I had not authorised the work and had indicated clearly on 2 occasions the same day they had the car and again 2 days later. They are refusing to accept rejection despite me withdrawing my agreement to repair before they started work on it. They have confirmed they received this instruction before that time. However they chose to ignore my clear instructions. Other issues are that they told me the car had full service history. The last time it was serviced was November 2020 so not in line with manufacturer recommendations which say every 10,000 miles or 1 year whichever is earlier. So they have lied, very poor workmanship, no quality control checks and they ignore clear instructions that I wished to reject rather than repair. They are trying to use bullying tactics to get me to accept the car back. A complaint has been submitted to the Motor Ombudsman and I have had to incur extra costs by taxing and insuring an alternative vehicle while this continues. This is the first time I have had such a poor quality car and the first time I have ever bought a car from a dealership as I’ve always bought from friends or auctions!! An excuse they tried to give for water ingress was an unprecedented amount of rainfall!! To date, still no response from Customer Complaints despite plenty of auto replies confirming they have had my emails. Absolutely appalling customer service. After Sales are responding to emails and not Customer Complaints who are the ones who need to respond. I do not trust their quality of work and I do not trust that they have any integrity. Reply to response 6th March: repairs are being monitored. Complaint with Ombudsman continues for the other issues such as no FSH and the manner this has been dealt with.
Had a great experience purchasing my new car at Pinetree… The only hiccups was with the finance company. Big shout out to younger Steve (better looking one) his words… who was a delight, friendly and patient and very responsive with any questions we had. The coffee machine is a must also.. loving our new car. Thanks 😃
Please don’t bother contemplating buying a car from the people who really need to pass a crash course in customer service. Mike was the most obnoxious car sales man I’ve had the displeasure of meeting. Travelled to test drive a car that wasn’t ready for test driving…. Then made out he’d spoken to his colleague that had made the arrangements and Said I’d been told it wouldn’t be ready…. Of course I’d make a 50 mile round trip to sit in car….. Catrin the original person I was dealing with, talked me around to give them another chance and confirmed I had booked a test drive. Arranged to test drive the car and possible buy it on the 11th November, had a courtesy call on the Wednesday to say everything was in place for the Saturday- yay! Half an hour before we were due to leave I had a phone call to say the car was not ready as the timing chain hadn’t been changed as per the information on Wednesday that it was in the process of being changed. The technician had gone on leave on the Thursday and wouldn’t be back for over a week, but Catrin was too busy to ring on the Thursday or Friday. I’d understand if calling customers were not part of the job description but the last time I looked it was! Needless to say I didn’t buy the car as Catrin said ‘I think we need to leave it there, when I had the cheek of asking why it wasn’t ready!’ Please don’t waste your time! I’m looking at other peoples reviews and strange how they have been responded to and to not mine!
Wasn’t long new what I wanted very friendly and everything explains
Filled in a contact form online on a car they had in stock. The following day I had a phone call from Mike, and told him I’d like to part-ex. Went to view the car and take it for a test drive, and was given a price for my part ex and the new car, I had a good price on both and was in and out within an hour. Mike was very friendly, approachable and gave me space to look at the car in my own time. Paperwork process was easy and quick, especially considering I went there near closing time. Also had a phone call from Rhyanne from after sales care who was very friendly and made sure I was happy with my new car. Great service.
Amazing service from start to finish. . Paul was amazing! I would highly recommend Pinetree for your next car. Thank you guys!
We have just bought a new car from Pinetree and dealt with Mohammed who has been an absolute hero from the moment he called me when I first enquired about the car to the moment we drove it away. He’s friendly, professional and has kept us up to date throughout. I hate the thought of shopping for a new car as sometimes sales people can be very pushy, but we had such a good experience that I would not hesitate to recommend Pinetree and Mohammed to anyone who is looking for a used car. I also dropped a £20 note on the floor when we first went down to view the car and they called me the next day to let me know they’d found it because we were the last customers there!
Mo is an amazing sales man treated me like family, proper genuine guy very helpful goes above and beyond you definitely need more people like him.
I have recently bought a car from your tonypandy store. Mo handled the sale from start to finish and I have only got good things to say! He was very professional, kind and talked me through the whole process. I couldn’t me happier with my car and the service I received. I couldn’t recommend him more!
I had trouble with buying a car from here, however Mo Qasim who then dealt with my situation went above and beyond to help me out. He constantly kept me in the loop with things and made sure the situation was being dealt with ASAP. I couldn't be more grateful for the level of customer care he showed towards me.
Bought 2 cars in Feb from Bridgend, within a week the MG engine light came on. Was advised to bring the car in on the wrong date to their main office in Tonypandy which resulted on a two hour round trip wasted. The door handle on the second car we bought from them came off. Took four weeks for the handle to be sorted and another 12 weeks of painful back and forth, trips, calls to get the first car sorted!!!!!. We were told that it needed a new catalytic converted which couldn't be sourced, then the wrong one was ordered. Eventually got both cars back. A month later the car that had a new Catalytic converter - the engine light came back on. After taking to an MG dealership for further inspection we were advised that a non-standard part was fitted (Not acceptable by MG standards) and was fitted back to front!!! the height of ineptness.!!! When I approached Pinetree to rectify this they made it very difficult to remedy. They wouldn't pay for the work to be rectified by the MG dealership. They wanted to do the work themselves (Even after already having the opportunity to rectify) and utterly cocking up fitting it the wrong way round. when I asked how long this would take as the MG dealership had the car stripped and the part ready they were unable to offer a time frame. I asked as they were unable to offer a timeframe would they provide a courtesy car as I have to work and my son goes to a special school and needs transport. I was told they wouldn't be able to. I asked if they could advise how long it would take to source part and so we could make alternative arrangements and rent a car and they wouldn't give us a time frame. They were awful at picking up the phone- constantly going to answerphone and not returning messages. In the end we had to trade in the car at a significant loss as car was not road worthy, and still waiting for a response from Pinetree cars. They are Cowboys!!!!! UPDATE The three emails you refer to are standrdise templates and make no response to my emails. You have drawn this out and forced us to see the car as were were out of pocket and without a car. You seem to think we have all the time in the world. You were desperate to get yhe car back deapite having enough evidence to convince a court that you are inept
Bought a Vauxhall Mokka from Pinetree Bridgend. Had problems with it and returned the car to Tonypandy. I eventually rejected the car and aftersales agreed that it needed a new clutch and cylinder amongst other things. There were a few debates with Jo in aftersales who probably has the most difficult job in the whole company. A very assertive lady, but also fair. Rather than have my £7300 back I agreed to purchase another vehicle for £9000, a Mercedes B Class. I feel that I got a good deal from the Salesperson Rhian. She was also fair and even arranged a courtesy car between transactions etc. She was very nice to deal with. I have no complaints about Pinetree. They were good and car sales is a difficult business. I will return to this Dealer.
Highly recommend the tonypandy store if you’re looking to buy a new car. I dealt with Mohammed start to finish, he was so patient, kind, he wasn’t pushy. He explained everything to me and helped me get a fantastic price on my part ex. If you’re looking to buy from Pinetree at Tonypany, definitely go to Mohammed.
Purchased a car 6 weeks ago and had it twice, 1st time a few days and 2nd time only being for 40 minutes!! Needed a new turbo, air conditioning was blowing hot air although it stated on the “AA report” it passed. After dropping the 1st courtesy car back to be told our vehicle was ready, I literally pulled up outside the office and was told that there was a leak and the interior was soaked, they had to remove all the carpets, foam and chairs to find this leak. On our 3rd courtesy car. It’s all Lies! Not mechanically minded but knew something wasn’t right with our original vehicle and I was right! General manager is never to be seen or heard, aftersales deals with too much other stuff on site other than their own job so hence why phones never get answered, but sales is quick enough to pick up and talk. Staff vaping in customer cars, just looks like no one wants to work there. It’s a shambles, never should anyone have to experience this amount of fault. Also with being given a 3rd courtesy car I had been pulled over by the police to find that the car hadn’t even been taxed!! Regardless if it’s a £600 car or a £6000 car, things should be handled properly. It’s poor business.
Thank you pinetree car sales, I bought my dream car which was a focus st , outstanding service, friendly staff good quality car, I’ve ha the car since February and it’s the best car I’ve owned 5 stars from me
Personally I would avoid this garage and the company as a whole, back last year in May, I brought a Volkswagen polo 12 plate with a low mileage. Within 6 months I found out the car was given to me with an advisory of both brake pads and brake discs, where I was left in uni by myself with no help from the garage although it was within the guarantee, the garage finally gave in after almost a month of back and fourth phone calls stating that I should not be paying for this damage and there excuse was that it was my own wear and tear back in September. Fair enough the company paid half on the amount that I had to spend on the new brakes and pads although refused to honour the full amount despite it being their problem. Fast forward a year later and I am now facing a problem involving a whole new timing chain, on a car with 57k, I understand that this is a common fault in polos although the company have stated it’s “wear and tear” which I find highly hilarious considering I have spoken to a mechanic who has advised the timing chain has been going for more than likely over a year, the company want nothing to do with us, I’m not asking for money although they should accept they are in the wrong for selling a car with multiple issues, after reading the reviews it’s clear the company have got some improvements to do.
JUST BE ON STANDBY SELLS YOU A CAR , THEN TURNS OUT TO HAVE A ENGINE FAULT .. DOSE THIS PLACE NOT CHECK CARS BEFORE THEY BUY IN. LUCKY ESCAPE IAM HAPPY I JUST LOOKED UP THE REVIEWS NOW. THEY TELL A 1000 WORDS GOOD BYE
