No one signed me up after several emails. After several attempts my property (a 12 mio US$ loft in Tribeca) was considered good enough for plum guide. My friends have a great experience with plum guide i have the worst. Horrible or better non existent onboarding. Update: After I left my review PlumGuide came back to me and they were very nice. Said that after 2 weeks and again several emails my property is still not live. Not sure what their issue is.

Wonderful apartment in Venice! Convenient location on a quiet square. Elevator opened directly into the apartment. Thermostats in each room allowed for everyone to be comfortable. The staff was incredibly responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this property!

EVERY REQUEST OF CHANGE WAS IMMEDIATELY RESPONDED TO SO I FELT SECURE. I WAS ALSO ASKED WHETHER I NEEDE HELP WITHOUT ASKING. MOREOVER THE PRESENTATION OF THE HOUSES WAS ALWAYS ACCURATE, VERY FINE PLACES. I WAS QUIET THAT WE WERE IN GOOD HANDS.

Consistently prompt, polite and professional customer service, both in terms of finding suitable properties at the start, through to payment and practical enquiries in the run up to arrival. We are still to complete our stay, but to date I have been very impressed by every member of the team I’ve had contact with.

I recently received an email advising that the original apartment I had booked in Paris was being taken off Plum Guide's books due to it not being up to their standard and receiving negative feedback. I was offered two other alternatives and as a result of the price being significantly more at such late notice that a discount would be applied for the inconvenience. An alternative was confirmed immediately with minimal additional payment required...problem solved in a very timely manner. It is great to know that Plum Guide take reviews so seriously and that every effort is being made to ensure the client is happy and has accommodation booked of a high standard as promised.

The company charges a premium but does not provide a premium service. I booked an apartment with Plum guide and later asked to extend for a couple of additional days. They took about a week to respond and, although their website showed the apartment available when I initially contacted them, it was booked during the delay. Therefore, I had to find somewhere else to stay. They apologized but did not explain why they took so long. Airbnb and VRBO typically responds within a day or two. Also, the apartment was fine but no better than a typical Airbnb or VRBO. It was more run down than the pictures. The bathrooms need help with no place to put soap or shampoo in the shower - except on the floor. If they 'vet' the apartments, they should have seen the flaws. I also had issues with the 'stove' operations. The instructions were not clear and I could not turn it on. Although the owners sent someone to check the same day, they did not tell me until a day had passed. With additional follow up, they sent someone to show me in person and he also struggled to turn it on. Eventually, he was able to figure out how to operate it. The price was higher than a typical apartment rental and I paid it because I hoped it would be nicer and have better service. I will not use them again.

We were nervous about using Plum Guide for the first time, but our apartment in Rome was wonderful! Our charming host Roberto, was very helpful, accommodating and quick to respond to messages. He let us drop our bags off early after a long flight, gave us great tips and checked in to see that all was well. The apartment is beautiful, modern and spacious, in a great location and with very much appreciated air conditioning (in August). We loved our stay!

Booking experience so far has been excellent. I can't comment on quality of accommodation or accuracy of details on website until the holiday is taken later in the year. Website is clear, accurate and easy to navigate.

STAY AWAY from this company. They are not trust worthy, They do not vet out the apartments. Customer service is unreliable. We only heard from the manager after leaving the review below. They did nothing to compensate our stay which did not match the description in the photos. We had a horrible first time experience with this company. We booked an apartment in Paris and decided to use Plum Guide instead of Airbnb as they promised homes that were vetted out and 24/7 service. Traveling with small children we wanted the reassurance that we would have a great apartment and if there were issues they would be taken care of. Upon arrival it was clear that this was a smoker’s home. The house smelled so badly of cigarette smoke that I could feel it in my throat and eyes. When I called Plum Guide the first person I spoke with told me I should contact the host (what?!?) and see “what they say about the smell.” For a company that promises service I was shocked, but wanted to get out of the apartment as soon as possible, I was willing to do anything. The host confirmed that she was a smoker, but only smokes on the balcony. She offered nothing else. I called Plum Guide again, and their next solution was that I should go out and “buy cleaning products.” I told the woman that we wanted to be relocated and her response was “It doesn’t work that way.” Clearly, this person was not helpful so I tried someone else at Plum Guide. Sandy was much more helpful, promised to have her manager Johnny call me and sent me an e-mail apologizing for the experience. However, I never heard from the manager. A day later we have not had any help from Plum Guide. We wound up leaving the apartment shortly after the round of phone calls with plum guide and finding an Airbnb near by. We will never ever use this service again. It should be noted that my major complaint was the smoke smell, but the entire apartment was not suitable for a $600+/night stay. There was old food in the fridge and freezer. The elevator was old and confusing and not safe for children (this should have been indicated in the listing). My daughter got stuck in it for a moment because a key is needed to open up the apartment. There were other people’s clothes in every closet in every bedroom. The photos of the apartment were not indicative of the actual space - it was worn down and old. I never would have rented this home had I known of the true condition. Clearly, plum guide does not vet out these homes. A *smoker’s* house should never, ever be listed.

I had a problem with the reservation payment and got a bit scared that I lose the reservation. Plum representatives called me 5 times until everything was sorted out. They proved to be a reliable partner with a great customer service and care.

I’ve been watching Plum Guide for a while and waiting for the right holiday opportunity to come by. Their list of holiday properties is fantastic, so I wanted to test the platform and see one of their marketed properties in person. Boy did they deliver! The property they listed was cheaper than on other platforms, photos and description was much better. Most importantly I had a fast and seamless booking and follow up service experience. Didn’t have a single issue with my booking or checking in. Plum Guide, you are on top of my list and I cannot wait to discover more beautiful places once I go on holiday again!

I'm a host on Plum Guide and recently had to contact them with regards to a guest issue. It was very refreshing to find how easy it was to communicate with Plum Guide (via Whatsapp), and my issue was resolved immediately. I'm new to hosting with Plum Guide, however have so far received wonderful and very respectful guests and have been impressed by the speed of response and level of support Plum Guide give to their hosts. Looking forward to developing the relationship.
