The worst property factor I have ever dealt with. Do you want huge bills for a poor level of service? Then Newton is for you. Slow response that avoid answering direct questions or take months to do so. Our development has had completely incorrect electricity charges for the past 18 months to 2 years. Vastly over charging us for our usage and the bills are impossible to keep track of to know what you are owed. They then use these artificially high charges to calculate your direct debit so it become vastly inflated above what it should be. And they charge you if you don't want to pay by direct debit so you cannot withhold money until they sort out their billing. They themselves have no idea what is going on. They then refuse to take responsibility or offer any sort of compensation as basic customer service. I have to end up taking them to civil court for 2 separate cases. They will run your development as if they own it and do whatever they want without consulting owners as if the owners are renting from them. They have a poor grasp of the legislation that governs property factors. They also try to improperly instruct repairs or maintenance just ordering it themselves without consulting owners so they can conveniently charge their extra 10% management fee on large scale work. Finally we have now voted to remove them and they just ignore any correspondence as if they have not been removed. Honestly read all the 1 star reviews on google. They are horrendous.
Impressed with cooperation of new Factor and his immediate response to queries raised. The meeting went very well and it was useful to have list of questions for discussion.

A big thank you to Lana Andrejevs who has done a really good job since Newton took over our property from the previous factors. She has had to arrange a lot of work that had been left undone, and has proved, so far, to be diligent and well organised. Long may it continue.
Newton - once you speak with a human being directly - have always been helpful with any issue I've raised. Robert from the finance team was a good example of this today. In the two years I lived in a property managed by Newton, frustrations would arise when an invoice was received with a jargon-riddled explanation - or an issue (in my case, an ongoing leak from shoddy external building work) going unresolved for a long time - but I appreciate with a big company that these things need to go through various processes, subcontractors, contracts etc. If you build relationships with people in Newton, typically you'll find that they will do what they can to improve your situation.
It was encouraging to have Mr. Geoffrey come to Highland Park for the purpose of answering our concerns. His quick reply, outlining his progress on these issues is most welcome, and I look forward to more such updates as said issues are addressed and dealt with. Three stars is pretty good considering it was one star quite recently.
Since moving to my new property just over 2yrs ago, anything I have asked about, by phone or email, has been dealt with promptly by June, big thank you to her for sure for keeping me on the right road! Never having used a factoring company before, this is all new to me, glad June is there.
Newton Property service's has recently taken over as property manager. Following the transition, the communication has been satisfactory and problem resolution very good. Lana (my property manager), is supporting to a high standard. Please maintain the great work.

Newton have recently taken over from my previous factoring company atholls and it’s been smooth. Dealing with them has been very stress-free. Lana has been great, she has dealt with my queries promptly and efficiently and followed up with emails to keep me updated. Nothing is too much trouble for her, so 5 stars
Lana visited our property to meet a contractor to arrange remedial work. Since Lana was appointed our property manager response from Newton has been excellent. Lana is a great communicator and will be such an asset to Newton Property Management.

My 90 year old mother has sold her flat as she has to move into a care home. She is in credit on her account and also has a £100 held with Newton. I have been chasing for 3 months to get this money for my mum. They are telling me that it can be up to 6 months before my mum sees her money. The company is not friendly and are rude just citing up to 6 months before we can close the account. I have asked for interest to be paid for the 6 months that they have the money to be told that the money is held in a non interest account. I do not believe this as to do so would be bad business. Lastly the property does not even have a manager and no one has visited the property in over a year. I would not recommend anyone to use you as a factor as the service is not only terrible but there are people who work for you that are just rude. If I could have given you a zero I would have. We are talking about just over £100 it seems that newton don’t think that this is a lot of money but to a 90 year old lady it is.
I’ve had a good experience with Newton Property Aberdeen mainly because since the arrival of Lana Andrejevs the service has improved enormously. Lana has answered my questions & emails and chased up outstanding issues in a timely manner. Service is really important and Lana understands this therefore I’m a happy customer.
I had a query regarding an invoice from Atholls who had recently been subsumed into Newton Property Management. My query was passed to Lana Andrejevs who responded both quickly and politely. As it was an invoice from Atholls, she couldn't answer my query, but throughout our email exchanges Lana was a pleasure to deal with - quick to respond, friendly, and efficient at all times.
Newton are just an abysmal of a company. Emails are never responded to and phone calls are never answered. Emails are chased up and still ignored. Multiple attempts yesterday morning to call them and the lines just ring out. Does anyone actually work at this company? Formal complaint previously made about the lack of communication from my property "manager" was upheld in my favour and agreed Newton failed to provide an adequate service. There has been zero improvement. At this point, Newton are starting to feel like a scam company as the payments are always made but no service is provided in return.
Dealt with Ewan re obtaining a refund from Newton following sale of the property. He was always quick to respond, explained exactly what I needed to do on my side and how long things would take. Couldn't ask for better service than this. Much better than the previous property management company who used to manage the property. Leaves me with a good, customer-friendly impression of the company.
Dealt with Tamur few times. They are very polite and helpful. Most recently were able to assist effectively and efficiently to get me back into my online portal and they helped break down the charges on my owners bill.

Apr 23,2025Scott Greenlees dealt with our problem in a hugely courteous and prompt way. I called and within a couple of hours the situation was resolved. It was urgent as the issue was one of security. I am very happy with Newton Property. Especially Scott. Best , Elaine Knox .
