Jul 10,2023I rented the apartment called "Pouring Tributes" in Paris. As part of my booking, I arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport. I provided my flight details and was told that the driver would be waiting for me with a sign once I exited baggage claim. I waited for over 1 hour for that driver to arrive. It was advertised that the driver would be in a Mercedes. He showed up in a dirty, small Toyota. I reported this immediately, and 5 days later, I'm still being told that they are "looking into the issue". The apartment doesn't have A/C, which is expected in old buildings. However, the fans provided are extremely dusty as if the filters have NEVER been changed/cleaned. It's disgusting. The unit overlooks a "courtyard" where there must be a lot of garbage stored because it's loaded with some sort of biting flies, which inevitably end up in the apartment because the windows are open. My family and I are returning home looking like we've been attacked by mosquitos - bites everywhere on all of us. The most egregious part of this entire experience, is that I saw a rat run across the floor this evening. It's 4:45AM and I'm writing this review now because I can't sleep knowing that there's a rat in here. I have never in my life been so ready to leave Paris! This isn't my first visit, nor will it be my last, but I will never book another property through this company again. There is no way that these apartments are vetted for quality.

Jul 09,2023We recently had a wonderful stay at the Operetta apartment in Paris. The apartment, in a lovely 1800s building, was well equipped and nicely styled, making for a comfortable stay for our family of four. The location of the apartment was perfect for visiting the key Paris sights, and we found it very practical for transport (metro, suburban trains, and Roissy bus for the airport). Thank you as well to the Plum Guide team for good communication and an easy check-in and check-out process, in addition to offering such a lovely apartment.

Jul 09,2023I have tried to book the same flat twice. I got an email confirming our reservation only to receive another email the same day canceling it. I then found that the flat was relisted on your website. I contacted customer service who told me to request the same flat and they would flag my request to facilitate the reservation. I did that. I then got an email asking for more details regarding our party. Again, I completed the information only to receive yet another cancellation of my booking request. I have never had such a difficult time working with a rental agency. I have wasted a week trying to secure a reservation and the company has done nothing to help me secure a booking so I must try and find a rental elsewhere. We are thoroughly disappointed in Plum Guides even though they came recommended.

Jul 08,2023We have clients staying at Peter the Rose apartment in London currently. They have had a maintenance issue since they arrived and can not get anyone to help. I have called the 'host' (aka Sonder) myself multiple times and nothing has been resolved. No one knows what is happening or when it will be fixed. While we appreciate the Plum Guide and Sonder staff answering emails and phones and whatsapps (seemingly eager to help), nothing is actually getting done.

Jul 06,2023We had a truly fabulous time staying at Pensieri Stupendi in Rome, with many memorable moments that we will cherish forever. To start with, the apartment is set in an incredibly central location for exploring the City. It’s decorated to a very high standard - luxurious and stylish, with unique and tasteful decor - and the most comfortable bed and cosiest bedroom ever! The most memorable moment though is opening the balcony doors to reveal a prime view of The Pantheon and Piazza della Rotonda – it’s utterly breathtaking. If you like people-watching over a glass of your favourite Italian wine, this is THE apartment for you. It provides a front row seat to enjoy marriage proposals, fashion shoots, street artists, euphoric crowds gathered for football and opera all taking place in the Piazza. We are about to move to Florence, but will definitely be back at Pensieri Stupendi when we visit Rome. Happy happy days!
