Mar 25,2024Called out PM247 to an emergency leak at our offices. The request was to repair if possible but otherwise turn off the water supply, as a considerable amount of damage was being caused. Received a call a few hours later (no one from our office was on site), to say they had found the problem, quote to follow, and that the water had been turned off. Arrived in the morning and the water had NOT been turned off. Called them out again, they insisted on charging again even though they had said the water had been turned off the previous evening. On arrival they insisted the stop cock needed changing and charged extra to do this. This had only been changed a few months earlier so I really doubt this was the case. They submitted a repair cost of almost £600.00. On having our own plumber look, the problem was not what PM247 had said it was, so that would also have been a waste of money had we gone ahead. On complaining to PM247, they could not be more disinterested in resolving the complaint. I had asked for a refund of the 1st call out charge as they had not done what they had said they had. Steer clear, it will end up costing you a lot more, and potentially even causing more issues if you use this company. Choose a verified local plumber.

Mar 25,2024Their claims on line are misleading at best. Their business practices could be seen as devious. They say, 'We won't even charge you a call out fee'. NO, they charge you £120 + VAT to inspect and evaluate the job. If you don't want the job done at their estimated price, they charge you the £144. They say, 'Payment on completion'. Not true. They demand payment before they will commence work. They say, 'You only pay if we clear'. Not true. They demand payment to inspect and evaluate, and BEFORE they commence work. If you can't clear the blockage yourself with a plunger, DO NOT engage this company. I will be making a complaint to Trading Standards. I hope that something can be done.

Mar 22,2024Disgusting service. Complete rip off charged £445 to swap an isolation valve on a toilet and then wanted another £245 for a toilet flush. Have been left with a toilet that still isn't working. Avoid this company at all costs!

Mar 22,2024Hired emergency plumber to fix leak, service was poor and plumber repeatedly disclosed he was unsure what to do. A repair was made to the toilet pan connector for £600 (much higher than market rate but we were desperate). Leak progressively got worse to the point ceiling, floor and walls now need to be replaced. PM247 refused responsibility and insisted must be a second leak, they were dismissive and laughed at me saying "not our problem is it" on the phone. Eventually, plumber revisited and made a "second" diagnosis on the toilet stating 95% it's the pan connector but in this case it's the fill valve. PM247 initially insisted we pay hundreds more for this to be replaced and refused refund of initial unrequired repair. At this point, we sent plumber home and sought guidance from Citizens Advice Bureau who have stated we are entitled to a refund and compensation. PM247 have not acknowledged this. Since, we have had second opinion that is was not the pan connector or the fill valve leaking. With guidance from another plumber, we identifed the leak ourself and made a quick 10 minute repair. PM247 made two incorrect diagnosis- the first of which we were charged £600 for- and their failed repair caused substantial damage to our flat and the below property. We have tried to settle this dispute internally and said we will accept a refund and move on but they have not yet cooperated. We are currently seeking legal advice. Please save yourself this distress and use a different company.

Mar 15,2024While I appreciated their ability to arrive the same day when I called, I was quoted an unreasonable price of £1200 emergency leak fixed supply Pipe inside house, especially considering I had already spent £144 on a service call. SCAM!!!! The engineer spent less than 5 min at my property, did not touch anything, then walked out . PM247 company believe that the engineer investigated, advised what was needed, a quoted price was given, but this was declined by myself . Therefore there was the investigation charge.Very poor service company. But next day i called next company (JH & KH)excellent service from them.good price also.. I recommend to all customers to contact (JH & KH company).

Mar 14,2024We had a small leak and needed a replacement of a part. The response was very quick, the engineer was really nice and knew what to do, he would deserve 5 stars. However, it is a crime to charge 1000 pounds for a 15 minutes work and the part itself costs less than a 100 pounds. I don't know how much profit this company makes on each work, but it should be illegal. Call a plumber directly, not through them.

Mar 14,2024Called out for a plumber for a blocked toilet, he came in with no equipment, stood there and just looked at the toilet and said it needs more specialised equipment so will cost more and needs to talk to his boss. I called another plumber who fixed the problem within 5 minutes with a plunger and a bucket of water. When I refused to pay they sent it to a dept company with a false report saying they had properly investigated it (they didnt), that it needed more than a plunger, which it didn't and that I was told it would cost over £500

Mar 06,2024247PM was asked to fix a very small and simple leak. He plumber attended, but instead of doing the work, made excuses to return. I then hired another plumber who went along and fixed it in 20 minutes!!! I asked for a refund but they fobbed me off repeatedly!

Mar 05,2024Rip off artists. Charged my old mum £948 (2 visits) to unblock a manhole that Anglia water would unblock for you free as it's their responsibility (being a shared manhole). Dyno-Rod guy said PM247 should of rang Anglia Water to do it.

Mar 03,2024Called this company to clear a blocked soakaway on my driveway. They have a very strange way of doing business. The workmen said that chemicals were needed to completely clear the blockage and they called their head office who increased the estimated charge from around £140 to almost £450!! One of the workmen said that as I was a senior citizen they offered to knock off £100. There is no doubt that this is a standard practice for this company. Because of the urgency of the situation I agreed for the work to go ahead. To add insult to injury full payment was required before the work was carried outl I would never use this company again and would never recommend anyone to let this company anywhere near their property. PM 247 is guilty of sharp practice. EMPLOY THEM AT YOUR PERIL!!

Plumber who came was friendly but cost quoted was ridiculously exorbitant Co sidering he finally replaced required parts in about 10 mins then extra 15 to set flush button correctly. Process required contract and payment before any work could be done. Would not recommend this plumbing service

The engineer spent less than 60 seconds at my property, did not touch anything, then walked out "to get machinery" at which point I got a call asking me to pay an extortionate price (£400 for what other plumbers charge £180..). When I refused it they said I'd still have to pay £144 for the 60 seconds they spent here.... They put it in the small print of the confirmation email after you book with them and make you liable to pay. Their whole strategy is built around spending less than 60 seconds at your property, quoting you a ridiculous price and charging you £144 for nothing. Total ****s.

Feb 24,2024They quoted £123 +VAT . The guy looked at the drain and called his boss. They then gave me a price of £800. I said I could not afford it .. he replied well thats the price .. he then said he would look to see if he could do it cheaper ..but I said don't bother ... he was arrogant. They then charged me £144 for coming out .I said it stated on the website no call out charge but it was different in the small print. I asked then to send an invoice. He refused to let the guy leave until I had paid ... I contacted another company they came the next day and charged me £200. Do yourself a favour - don't use !

Feb 23,2024I used this company in London, they are just cowboys. it was about unblocking the toilet , they charged me £474 for half an hour job, which appeared to be that it didn't resolve the problem, and the water in the toilet was still very slow. what they did was that they didn't use the jet, but pulled the stocked rubbish from downstair, and never tried to do anything from the toilet itself. when i tried with them to come back and do the job properly, they said i have to pay again more than £168 for their visit plus anyone amounts that they may decide later on....

Feb 22,2024Do not Touch. scam I called this company to unblock an overflowing manhole, the y charged £168 for the callout which includes a basic attempt to unblock the drain, tenant monitored them and they didnt even try but rather called me to say that it needs jetting and wanted to charge £695 + VAT. as a managing agent i know teh game so i denied it, got another company to come out soon after, they unblocked it with one plunge. Mar 27,2024they charged my elderly mother 144 £ just to attend.. then wanted another 480£ to just replace a short piece of pipe in the toilet that had a slow drip.. the actual plumber was great and very helpful but the company is not so great [to say the least]. a different company 1 month ago charged £170 to do a larger repair to her pipes but needed 2 weeks to come this time so we had to accept this company instead.
