Oct 11,2023ABDUL WAS POLITE VERY EFFICIENT WITH EVERYTHING HE DONE TO SERVICE MY ELDERLY DADS BOILER. EXPLAINED CLEARLY WHAT HE WAS DOING AND MADE THE BOILER SAFE, THE PRESSURE WAS TO HIGH, ABDUL SHOWED ME ON THE MACHINE HOW HIGH IT WAS AND PUT IT TO HOW IT SHOULD BE. I HAD MY BOILER SERVICED AS WELL ABDUL GAVE ME A LIFT TO MY HOUSE BECAUSE MY DADS BEEN VERY POORLY IVE BEEN LOOKING AFTER HIM.STRAIGHT AWAY HE PUT COVERS ON HIS SHOES WHEN HE ENTERED THE HOUSE. ONCE AGAIN DID A VERY GOOD JOB ON MY BOILER. SUCH A LOVELY YOUNG MAN VERY PLEASANT YOU DONT ALWAYS GET THAT SERVICE WITH TRADESMAN YOU HAVE DOING WORK IN YOUR HOUSE.GAVE MY DAD AND MYSELF PEACE OF MIND HE HAD DONE A VERY THOROUGH JOB WITH BOTH OUR BOILERS WOULD ,100% BOOK HIM TO DO SERVICE NEXT YEAR. 10/10.👍

Oct 08,2023Rip off company - the plumber was good but the office guy on the phone was awful. Charged us £300 for a £75 job. A new hose cost £100 .... I will never use them again and would not recommend them.

Oct 07,2023We had water pouring out of pipes in our fascia. I put buckets underneath them but these kept overflowing and the garden was waterlogged. We looked in the loft but everything was dry up there. I phoned the roofer who replaced our fascia, and he said that the pipes were coming from the water tank and if it was overflowing it could fall through the ceiling which made me panic. It was 5pm and I phoned several plumbers on Checkatrade and I phoned Dynorod but no one could help us so I called PM247. They said that they could get a plumber to me within an hour and a half with a call-out charge of about £140 for an investigation, plus additional charges for parts or if further work was needed. I agreed, then I read the reviews on here. The negative ones were so horrific that I almost rang them back and cancelled. I guess you just have to be lucky and get an honest and decent plumber on the day, and we certainly got that. Abdul arrived slightly later than expected and asked for the call out payment immediately before doing anything. He arrived in an ordinary car which I thought was suspicious, but he explained that his van had been damaged by a break-in and showed me photos. After we paid the call out charge, he went into the loft and switched off the water on the tank to stop it overflowing. He explained that we could leave it like that for several days and still use the water from the tank while we found a plumber to drain it and replace the ballcock, or he could come back and do it in a few days' time. We said we wanted it done as soon as possible, so he went off at 7.45 pm to a shop that closed at 8 pm and got the parts. He drained the tank as necessary, replaced the parts and adjusted the water pressure. He gave us lots of advice on what to do if it happens again, and more advice about suitable loft insulation and energy saving tips. He was efficient, polite and was concerned about the bits of fluff from the insulation that fell out of loft, not wanting to leave the carpet looking messy. Altogether we paid just over £300 which certainly isn't cheap, but the noises we have been hearing from the loft for ages have stopped, the water pressure is perfect so that the shower no longer runs hot and cold and the repairs to the tank were completed. He arrived at about 7.30 pm and was on the job until about 9.45 pm. I think that if we had just paid the call out charge then let him go, it would have ended up costing us more to get someone else and we would have had to take time off work and wait until a plumber could fit us in, and from my experience most plumbers never turn up at all anyway. Many people on here would think that paying just over £300 (I think it was £319) is far too much, but for us it was excellent value to get the job done properly and immediately in the evening and done by a polite and caring plumber.
