Well all I can say is just don’t use Purple Bricks, I started to use them for a purchase of one property and the sale of another and the whole experience was absolutely terrible and I can’t get across enough to encourage anyone thinking of using them, just don’t! Save yourself the nightmare and just use a local estate agent. If you pay upfront and want to cancel in the 14 day cooling off period, then good luck with that, im trying to get my £999 back and they have blanked all my emails that I sent to 4 different emails addresses, I even emailed the chap I was dealing with, William Leggott, he is ignoring my emails about it, so if anyone is dealing with him be very careful. I tried to complete the 14 day cooling off form they have only to find that when you fill it out and try to submit it, it doesn’t submit, so they have most probably set it up to do that. I’ve now got to mess around going down the legal path to recover my money.
Bruce was great, very friendly and informative. I received a thorough valuation report within an hour of the valuation viewing, which was comprehensive and simple to understand. I also received a conveyancing report which included all costs for closing and lawyers etc. Would recommend!!

Easy to use platform.
Matthew from Purplebricks arrived right on time to carry out a free valuation of our property. He clearly explained the services on offer from Purplebricks and how it differs from traditional estate agents. Matthew appeared very knowledgable about market prices in the area and was very helpful in offering advice on what might be the best value added improvements to carry out.

The app wasn’t working and still isn’t working properly. This is my fourth property sale with Purple Bricks and it has got progressively worse since starting out as excellent. (See my previous reviews). As with the previous properties, massively undervalued to speed up the sale so PB’s statistics look good. They valued at £100k but I sold at £120k with 12 offers all significantly over £100k. I’m used to this issue with PB and I know to sell at what I think it’s worth. But the app was a total disaster this time and I will be seeking some refund/compensation for the hassle it caused me: 1) Bookings made by buyers not showing on my calendar so missed opportunities. 2) Cancelations not received so I travelled to the house and waiting for nothing, wasting hours of my time and wasting my flexi-time off work. 3) Multiple buyers booked in to view for the same time slot so confusion with every visit at to who was who, and unable to discuss and negotiate in private with buyers as there were still other people walking round the house. 4) Time delays in messages being sent and received and not corresponding to the email alerts. 5) Alerts coming through at all hours of the night despite being sent during the day. 6) Unable to mark viewings as ‘attended’ so still today getting emails asking if they turned up. 7) Most viewings were showing as ‘accompanied’ viewings with the PB agent … but weren’t. 8) Buyers were able to book viewings when I hadn’t set any availability so constantly having to rearrange. Also, no response from the Purple Bricks agent after one of his ‘contacts’ had been to view. Several messages sent to the agent which have received no reply. Main telephone number informed but still no response from the PB agent. Purple Bricks once revolutionised the estate agent industry but today there are so many other ‘virtual’ agents to use so I will be trying one of those next time.

Me and my partner are currently looking to buy a house. We have booked 2 house viewings in different locations and none of them went ahead due to their lack of communication. We’ve turned up to both houses to not be answered by the owner, no estate agent turning up. And when I phoned them to inform them their response was “I don’t know what to do with this” As first time buyers this process is meant to be exciting but after these two experiences (which we’ve not had with any other branch) I can confirm I will not be booking any viewings within purple bricks in the future.
From beginning to end. We were given an account manager based in South Africa. When we asked to change to a person based in the UK, we never had any communication from the new account manager. When we had had enough and decided to go with our local estate agent, Purple Bricks never enquired why we had left. The communication with the For Sale Board Company was done directly by myself as Purple Bricks had failed to instruct them. About six weeks after instructing Purple Bricks, they phoned me up and tried to put me onto another company called GOTO. I also had contact with their In-House Law Firm Premier Property Lawyers, and again I was not happy with the customer services as they often did not answer the phone and when they did it was unprofessional and I found communicating with them difficult. The company in my opinion is chaotic.
