Was very professional and explained all aspects of what will happen to sell my property
We are trying to buy a property through them and it is the worst experience ever. Nobody knows what is happening, every time I speak to somebody else. We are at the point when we don’t think it’s worth the stress. To people looking at selling, you will lose the sale because of their incompetence. To buyers, look at something else unless you want stress and frustration. In our case, they advertised pictures 7-years old. We thought we were seeing a newish property. We got there and the place was disgusting, not being cleaned in years. The person dealing with the negotiation was extremely rude and tried bullying us into signing different contracts. Every single time, it was me updating them about the flat’s condition and timeline, not the other way around. I don’t recommend at all!
I found the gentleman who came to be very polite and helpful had a better understanding of what would happen so far the experience of using purple bricks has been straightforward and easy to follow I also went with one of their conveyancing firms so far so good but I am only just getting started on my journey of selling my parents house
My advertisement hasn't been published for a week. I emailed the person in charge but received no response. I also called many times, but no one answered
I had never used purple bricks before but from the moment I sent the email enquiring about a house up until now I have found them to be amazing. I was most impressed with Jez who was brilliant. He kept me up to date with any developments and was quick and courteous with his replies. He really made the whole experience alot less stressful . That has also continued throughout the rest of the process which has been very stressfree so far. I would highly recommend anyone using purple bricks.
Due to the the cost of Purple Bricks being so much lower than the other estate agents I'd spoken to (they would have charged £7k+ to sell my house), I had expected the service to be of a lower standard. I could not have been more wrong. The agent who valued the property was very knowledgeable, friendly and very quick to respond to my queries. And I was incredibly lucky to have been assigned Denise Glover from the Swindon branch to manage the viewings, show people around and deal with any queries. She was exceptional - she always turned up to viewings early to ensure everything was ready, gave feedback straight away, replied to messages and phone calls very quickly and was professional and knowledgeable throughout the process. On top of that, she was kind, friendly and honest. I've never had better service from an estate agent. Denise sold my house within two weeks and I wouldn't hesitate to use Purple Bricks again.
They've basically ruined our house sale with their useless lawyers who don't ever answer the phone and fill in every form wrong delaying the sale by literally MONTHS!!!!! Free sale doesn't mean anything if they do their very best to make sure it never happens. NEVER EVER USE THEM!!!!
I received clear and useful information about selling a house.
1) the reviews on here look completely fake some very similar wording on lots of the reviews and responses looks dodgy to me. I made the decision to go with purple bricks to save money. But we hardly got any viewings I decided to enquire about my own property and ask a question only to receive an email telling me to book a viewing via the app. I wanted to ask a question not book a viewing. This got me thinking what if people don’t have the app! Plus worried me about how purple bricks would handle the sale after an offer was accepted. When I spoke to my account manager she knew nothing about the demographics of the area as it is a rural farming community and pockets of small villages it’s not Manchester! I also changed the wording of my listing and some photos only got them to be added the wrong way up and the wording was cut short on the app. It had also been listed through the process as Terrace I asked for this to be changed but it hasn’t so called again and it finally got changed. Which was crucial as it may have missed buyers wanting a semi detached house, As I couldn’t get hold of my account manager I remove my property off the market and went with a local estate agent. within 2 weeks we had sold and had offers from 2 buyers. It may be cheap but the estate agent we went with in Cumbria cares about our sale and has a vested interest in it going through. Once purple bricks get your money the incentive has gone. So please think twice estate agents do a lot more than you think
Mark and Sarah Turk provided absolutely outstanding service during the sale of our property. From the initial consultation, their advice was invaluable. They focused on details we hadn't even considered, offering insights that truly made a difference in how we presented our home. Mark's responsiveness was incredible. He was always available, answering my calls and messages instantly, no matter the time of day. He even stayed working late with me to ensure I was completely happy with the listing before it went live. This level of dedication is truly commendable. Thanks to Mark and Sarah's expertise and commitment, the entire process was smooth and stress-free. They went above and beyond our expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. They are a true asset to Purplebricks!
Our experience with Purple Bricks started off poorly. After signing up, we felt forgotten once they had taken our money, with little communication or support. It was frustrating and left us questioning our choice. However, everything changed when Caroline Vimpany took over as our agent. Caroline was a breath of fresh air—proactive, professional, and genuinely invested in helping us sell our home. Her communication was fantastic; she kept us informed every step of the way, offering advice and reassurance throughout the process. Thanks to her dedication and expertise, we finally secured a sale. If our experience had only been based on Purple Bricks initially, this would be a very different review. But Caroline completely turned things around for us, and we’re incredibly grateful for her hard work.
Friendly and clear instructions
Not knowing how purple bricks operate I was pleased that the agent took time to explain everything about the company. And how I will kept in the loop with every step taken without needing to badger the company for information As such I feel confident about purple bricks.
I used Purplebricks in Liverpool I opted for the paid option but done my own viewings...the agent Tim Shackell was knowledgeable of the area. I liked the fact that although you were allocated a contact at each stage of the process if they weren't available someone in that department could help. I'm used to progress chasing in my work and I did for my house sale. The app was glitchy on a few occasions and I had to go under the website version instead. Towards the end the Sales Progressor Crystal Bean contacted me every few weeks. Overall the service was grand at times depending on who was allocated would determine the service. My only issue, was the fact I had to do key handover at the end as I hadn't paid the highest tier amount. I still paid alot of money upfront and thought as I basically chased everything that it would of been a good goodwill gesture to facilitate that. Overall I was happy enough with the service Purplebricks provided. I put the house on the market at the end of September and completed on 7th February. Neither the buyer or I were in a chain.
very functional.
Good amount of information explained well
We initially got off to a drawn out start with Purplebrick the actual advert took a time however it was on top of Christmas, and initial communication was quite distressing. However, thankfully we received a welcome call from the Accounts manager Anne-Marie Benjafield, and everything in everyway took a massive turn for the better. It was Anna-Marie who restored our confidence in selling the house with Purplebricks. This lady is so good with advice, constructive information and an excellent communication prowess.Nothing is a bother and many changes to our advert have been taken on board and completed promptly on request.I do feel that the house will sell, and a plethora of help is available. We would like to also add that, Dean Wassell our viewing expert ,has endeavoured to do a great job, updating us with feed back and giving opinion where we ask for it.We do trust his word completely.
Firstly I would just like to say that both Andrew and Carol were extremely professional and helped immensely with selling our property. The reason for knocking 1 star off was that during the initial phase of the house sale and trying to get the property on the market they were on holiday and I had to deal with the contact centre which proved quite tricky I initially dealt with Andrew who explained the process in detail whilst Carol conducted the house viewings. Both have provided valuable assistance with the sale process and I would have no hesitation in using them again should I have to sell another house.
Misinterpretation over costs, not being correctly advised on figures

Feb 15,2025I am required to say something here about this terrible experience although my title says it all. Better to use a local estate agent whom you can speak with direct rather than a call centre in South Africa. Yes you will spend a bit more but it will be worth it in the long run. I have now heard from Purple Bricks who seem to think that I am only complaining about the South African call centre (which is rude and patronising) but my complaint was about the applaingly poor service which required calling the call centre many times. Also, my son, who paid the bill has also cancelled within the 14 days cooling off period and also sent several emails but received no acknowledgement nor a refund. BEWARE - look up what happened to Purplebricks in 2023!!
