Josie Thomas provided me with various quotations which were better than any I was able to obtain directly with the same companies. Josie was willing to provide multiple quotations and was very knowledgeable about the products and my options for retirement funding. Mandy Grkinic handled the transfer of funds and annuity purchase for me, she was endlessly patient through the protracted process and was able to expedite a difficult situation with practical advice and professionalism. Johnathon was excellent in explaining my options to me. Nothing was too much trouble and at no time did I feel under pressure. Mollie handled the actual purchase of my annuity and her communication in providing regular updates on progress was to be commended. Overall the whole process was seamless and stress free. I have no hesitation in recommending Retirement Line to anyone looking to buy an annuity.

Feb 21,2024I contacted Retirement Line late last year to discuss my retirement options. At the time annuity rates were quite high especially compared to a few years ago. The process was easy and I was supplied with numerous different annuity options. They also referred me to Pension Wise who run through all my options for my pension pots (3 in total from previous employment) Once I decided the best option they handled the process that took about 5/6 weeks.

Feb 19,2024Very knowledgeable staff and great customer service from the broker and the admin team handling the paperwork. Nothing too much trouble and happy to go over again any questions/concerns and kept me upto date with how it was progressing. Having spoken to many companies and advisors i felt they were the best to handle my particular product choice and they did not charge the earth in commission which is something i found to be very varied across the companies i spoke with. Very happy with the result.

Feb 17,2024Having initially discussed annuities with Retirement Line 12 months ago, and having also received quotes from another broker, I was surprised at how much more informative, knowledgeable and helpful they were compared to others when I made contact again at the beginning of 2024. Nathan talked me through all the options, secured a variety of quotes to suit my needs, and shepherded me through the application process, whilst Amira provided ongoing communication and support while the paperwork was dealt with. I now have the peace of mind that comes from a guaranteed monthly payment without having to worry about the rollercoaster ride of the stock market and the shocks to the markets of world events. Feb 15,2024Well, having a pension pot is one thing but how and when to get hold of it? The 'when' was easy; I was looking to get things rolling at the back end of last year and as is prudent leading up to this, I completed much research from paper literature and on-line resources, along with a telephone appointment I had arranged with Pension Wise. I had already decided to apply for an annuity so began steps along the DIY route to get an idea from various on-line providers and their quotations, but found the actual application process daunting and onerous, merely making me somewhat stressed. So, after some more swatting up - specifically regarding Retirement Line - I considered them as a bona fide conduit best placed to progress things for me. My first and subsequent contact with Retirement Line was with Stephen Farrow, whom I found to be pleasant and courteous and who clearly conveyed valuable guidance and assistance, answering all my questions, and later furnishing me with several annuity quotations. I decided to proceed with a preferred option which was comparable to anything and everything I had gleaned from my earlier research, even after RL's modest commission had been taken into account, so was really happy with what to expect. By December, the application pack along with documented risks and benefits (as previously verbally conveyed by Stephen over the phone) was completed very smoothly, with Amira Sultana having taken on the reins. Amira, too, was equally courteous and helpful, keeping me informed of the progress. As was Mollie Turner, who filled in for her colleagues' temporary leave absence at that most wonderful festive time of year. Communication from all three mentioned was faultless. My annuity was finalised to my great satisfaction last month (January 2024), and I am extremely grateful for all the support Retirement Line has provided me, with special thanks to Stephen, Amira and Mollie. Highly recommended !

Joshua Lawson was my main contact who went through all my options in a clear and concise manner and I am very impressed with his professionalism. Jack Tudor and Amira Sultana dealt with the application on my behalf and managed to get this through to completion within just a few weeks and well ahead of the initial schedule. Overall an excellent service that I will be recommending to friends/colleagues.

Feb 14,2024Deciding what to do with a pension is hard work, I found. And although Retirement Line do not advise on which annuity or pension provider to use, their presentation of the options open to me was succinct and clear. Ed Starling talked me through the options and at no time did I feel under pressure to use their services. After choosing my preferred option I was kept well informed by Amira Sultana of what was happening and how long it was going to take until the actual transfer of the money. It felt good to be in safe hands when there are many scams out there.

Feb 25,2024Retirement line review Summary. It was a pleasure to deal with this company from start to finish. Would I use them again? Definitely YES. Detail. I used this company quite by accident. I got what I thought was a cold call from Sam Pitchford at The Retirement Line. Normally I put the phone down on sales type calls but she sounded genuine and was very helpful. As a result of our conversation, I soon realised that earlier that day I had been mistakenly typing my annuity quote request details into the Retirement Line website, when I thought I had been on the L&G website ! My stupid mistake. Well that was a good start I thought. ….maybe I would be better off with a professional company dealing with my annuity after all. So I stayed with them and to cut a long story short over the next 4 months The Retirement Line arranged the purchase of two separate annuities for me with JUST. I found that Sam Pitchford was extremely helpful right from the get go and it soon became obvious that she had a tremendous amount of knowledge about annuities. I probably had about a dozen conversations with her over about 3 weeks gradually refining my exact requirements. It didn’t surprise me that it took that long. I initially had no clue about whether I even needed an annuity, and if I did then which type and which precise options. There was never any pressure whatsoever to actually buy an annuity. NONE. She is not a sales person …well that’s not the impression she gave out anyway. I felt that she could see that I was getting there slowly and in the end I knew exactly what I wanted and told her to go ahead and arrange the purchase. During the purchase of a 2nd annuity I had a problem because the quote with Aviva expired and the new quote was a lot less. I was not impressed with Aviva. It seems that they only guarantee their quotes for 2 weeks ! I discovered that can be a woefully short time when one is purchasing an annuity. To my surprise I got a call on Saturday morning (didn’t realise they worked weekends) from Sam Pitchford to give me the bad news, but within ten minutes she had come up with a better quote from JUST, guaranteed for 4 weeks ! What a star I thought. Now that’s what I call good service. I should also mention the good service I received from two customer service / admin team members, namely Roland Ewins and Mollie Turner. Their team handle the application from when you decide to purchase right up until when you first receive your annuity payment(s). My first annuity was handled by Roland Ewins. Well when one is told by The Retirement Line that the whole annuity buying process typically takes from 8 to 12 weeks then one is prepared to be patient. Mine completed in about 3 and a half weeks so I guess that Roland has to take at least some of the credit for that. I am sure he would say that is not typical turnaround time given the potential pitfalls with complex pension arrangements. I was impressed, nonetheless. I talked to him on two occasions and found him to be very professional and considered in his replies to my probably stupid questions. My second annuity was handled by Mollie Turner. This annuity took around 5 weeks to complete, rather than the normal 8 to 12 weeks. This was done over the Christmas, New Year holiday period so the 5 week timeframe was as equally impressive as the 3 and a half weeks for my first annuity application. I never actually talked to Mollie, our communications were all over email. She was just like Roland though. Her emails were professional and she informed me all that I needed to know. She even kept me informed of when she wouldn’t be there over the Christmas holiday in case I was worried about a lack of response. A nice touch I thought.
