Feb 12,2024When Considering making one of life's major purchases; namely an Annuity, I cannot make higher recomendation than the knowledge, services and support delivered through the team at Retirement Line. I initially made contact with Retirement Line whilst undertaking some annuity market analysis. The essential due diligence in considering a purchase of such magnitude. Andrew Ward was my initial point of contact. Andrew took the time to understand my current portfolio and what was important to myself. From here he was able to run a market analysis, across the major annuity providers, utilising a live portal delivering current rates within minutes. It is important to highlight here, that not all annuity facilitators and market analysis companies are equal. Due to Retirement Lines sole competence being annuities and the economies of scale, they were able to secure prefferential rates. After walking through some of the considerations, Andrew encouraged me to continue with my exploration into the market, confident that we would speak again - No hard sell or pressure selling. Andrew is indeed a complete Gentleman. The quote raise through Retirement Line, was indeed market beating, by some considerable margin and I agreed to accept an offer from Canada Life. Now, a word of warning, Two points: 1. the Annuity Providers work-loads flex with the volume of business they undertake and their resource to compete the process doesn't necessarily flex with this - so timeframes can be longer than anticipated. 2. Communication from the Annuity Providers varies. Even with confirmation of where your application is in the queue. In recognition of this, Retirement Line will assign you an Account Manager. Safeen Kauser, an absolute star, was mine. Safeen (Saf) would make a point of phoning myself with movements and updates in the process and a courtesy call at least once a week regardless if things had moved or not. She was always on hand at the end of the phone or e-mail to handle any questions or queries and was a great help. I've always been a bit apprehensive around electronic transfers of funds, I'm sure I'm not alone, and their is nothing more unsettling to see life savings transfer and hear 'radio silence' from the annuity provider until the Annuity has been set up. Retirement line communicated what was happening and bore the load in facilitating the transaction, in my case with Canada Life. Retirement Line do not handle any cash and the funds are not transferred though Retirement Line. Retirement Line are remunerated by a fee from the provider and indeed cap their fee with a balance returned to the applicant - a surprising act of a true 'Honest Broker'. So, now I'm happilly retired, in no small part to Andrew, Safeen and the Retirement Team - all true to their words and have restored my faith in Human Kind. When it comes to the time where you are considering similar Annuities, then make sure Retirement Line sit front and centre in your analysis - you'll thank me for it. James Anderson

Feb 09,2024I would like to thank Retirement Line for all their help in sorting out the transfer of my pension fund to an annuity. I can honestly say I had no problems at all. Patrick and Sabrina in particular kept me informed every step of the way I was able to contact them at any time if I wanted an update. This was really unnecessary as they updated me on a regular basis anyway. I know very little about this sort of thing and they made it seamless and easy, Retirement Line are excellent, and I have no problem at all in recommending that you use them in the future for any of your own Pension needs. I dithered about quite a lot but Matthew Summers was very friendly, patient, not pushy, but professional. He guided me through the process with the patience of a saint, nothing was too much trouble. An extraordinary time was taken to fully explain the process and options to me. After agreeing to proceed, I was transferred to their excellent Admin staff and received regular updates on progress. Feb 07,2024I checked out this pension broker with Companies’ House when first coming across them a few years ago. All checked out positively. I’ve had two pension arrangements with them now…. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Andrew was my advisor. He explained everything so transparently & plainly and never flinched if I asked yet another question. Such a nice man. All physical post was quickly with me (usually for information packs and/or signatories). And emails were also very prompt. You’ll be in excellent hands…

Feb 02,2024Excellent service. Ewan explained all options as I wanted a fixed term annuity. Made my decision and Amira handled my case keeping me updated until both of us were going on holiday just before Christmas. Amira handed my case over to Terry who saw it through till the end. He also kept me informed with regular updates. Only problem was the time taken to switch money from one company to another but Retirement Line kept on top of that and only delayed a couple of weeks. All sorted now very happy.

Feb 13,2024Great customer service & kept fully abreast of progress. George Gilbert was excellent in providing multiple annuity quotations and answering my many questions. This allowed me to choose the annuity that was correct for me. After my decision, Roland Ewins from the Customer Relations team was also excellent keeping me fully informed of the progress in the transfer of funds and the setting up of the annuity which made my life so much easier as I didn't have to deal with either of the companies in arranging my annuity. Based upon my experience, I would recommend Retirement Line.
