Jul 18,2024We started our journey with them as they were signed to our case 5 years ago when we bought our new house that we are selling now. We thought that they might have all the related documents and familiar to issues in our development as they already helped many other homes here. However; If you like to work a solicitor: - never updates you what is going on, what is needed, what are barriers...etc. - have no anticipation on matter in your new life (all arrangement including school places) - contact only via emails (not reachable via phone) - No due date perception - needs your chase, especially on immediate actions (chasing search companies, management companies, council, buyer's solicitor, estate agent...etc) - have no time for your case or no due diligence, no ownership / accountability of your case - always pushes you back and keeps all the stakeholders in the process in stress - tells about the company policies, doesn't interest your customer satisfaction and to not proceed legal procedures while you give written confirmation about taking risks - doesn't care when you complain about their ways of working and forces you to literally beg for your urgencies then, please work with RG Law. You'll definitely enjoy. for months. We now regret! The only thing we hear is 12 weeks average on exchange of contracts. Average means: including long chains and first buyers. Does that makes sense to give average timing to a case which there is no chain, first buyers and new built house including? and after then, we see that they will definitely do every delays to prove their 12 weeks commitment. The process could have been done 2 weeks ago but we are still begging them to complete this painful exchange of contract. As a seller, i and our state agent unlocked more barriers than them! Our buyers have done amazing job to complete all their documents on time. Our developers changed their contracts to get rid off small amendments on plans and guarantee it with a written documents. Everything but everything has been done for them to proceed but they still don't care! At the end of all mental situations, they gave me a call and still ask me to be constructive (even i had a huge temper and stress about related to frustration that they made) to not write me comments here instead of getting this issue done urgently by doing "all" they can! then, "My experience" service (their customer team) got in contact; i phoned them, wrote them, chatted them via their site. At the end no response. They will reply my these comments with "write to my experience" but i already did!!! I am wondering what they will say more than "sorry, apologies, we understand your frustration, we will investigate it...etc". Your sorry doesn't sort out your client's problem. please bear this in your mind! I "love" their customer satisfaction approach. I have a huge doubt about their "Customer first" approach or "People life-centric" way of business. They totally think about financials, not your life arrangements, not your health, not your stress level....etc. I wish we would check the market and worked with somebody else. I strongly advise you to be away!

Jul 16,2024Having instructed RG Law, York to act on my behalf during a recent house sale, I’m loath to recommend them. Totally underwhelming response time on both emails & phone along with messages. Made a stressful situation so much worse, luckily my sale agent kept me informed. Felt that I was a nuisance when calling & throughout the whole sale period, additionally, when requested information on the bill statement, it was ignored totally. There’s definitely no personal touch or feel to the service I received from them. Avoid.

Jul 02,2024RG Law have requested we give a review of their performance, hoping that they have given a 5* service however, we feel that they were well short of achieving such a rating. Firstly, it probably worth explaining that I have many years’ experience of dealing with property leases, predominantly commercial, but also our existing property is leasehold, so we came into this purchase with some existing knowledge of the law and issues that can arise on Leaseholds. Let’s start with the positives; the completion of the property went through on the date and timescales we were looking for, and the process for transferring monies was secure and satisfactory, responses to communications were generally speedy although not necessarily answering all the points raised. When looking to buy the property we were informed that RG Law had already dealt with a number of Clients on the same site, so our expectations was that RG law would have a clear understanding of the Lease and other associated issues, this was not the case. Rather than listing all the issues, we will highlight the main areas that arose. RG Law issue a Property Report to the Client: This report was not up to date; it spoke about non payment of rents - these were legally abolished on new properties in 2022. There was one specific comment regarding the impact of non payment of service charges, this was such a serious issue that it nearly caused us to walk away from the deal, RG Law ended up apologising for their incorrect advice. Five pages of the report regurgitates items from the Lease and adds no value, RG Law provide little explanation or clarification on the Lease itself. RG Law issued a Report Confirmation Form: This requires the Client to sign off against a number of items to confirm they are satisfied that they have received the relevant details. Question 8 asks the Client to sign that they have understood the report dealing with the Building Safety Act - on asking, I was told this was not relevant and didn’t need signing, so why was it in the Document? Our view is that RG Law use a process which they have not kept up to date. The documentation isn’t totally appropriate to the transaction, and that they don’t appear to be able to offer advice on particular issues, just responding instead to questions. We had to raise too many questions to get clarifications, many of which would have been unnecessary if RG Law had been sharper at their job. Buying a property is always a stressful process, unfortunately on this occasion it was made more so by the poor level of service provided by RG Law.

She actually answered her phone in a positive friendly approachable way, which has not been my experience in the past with Conveyancers. This puchase that went through yesterday was an absolute breeze and so stressless. I have bought and sold a lot of properties in my life and this was the best experience I have ever had of dealing with a conveyancer. Thank you Yewande you for a 5***** experience.

Not always the easiest to get hold off but this didn’t slow things down so overall not a big issue. Would recommend.

Several years ago they handled my property purchase and I returned to them to handle my remortgage because they’ve always provided me with a professional, efficient and high quality service. Rheanne handled my remortgage matter which was extremely time sensitive. Not only did she go above and beyond to complete my matter within a very tight time frame, she was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Anytime I had a question she made herself available to promptly answer it and did so in a way I could understand. The fact that she was able to complete my remortgage on time was nothing but miraculous and I can’t say enough good words about her! I think that our lawyer navigated a more delicate issue in the house acquisition gracefully and she was explaining the process as best as she could along the way. She was really replying very quickly to emails, we were grateful for that because the whole process was stressful for us and with many situation along the way that she supported us with and explained everything to us. The process was handled well and carefully and we would be happy to work together again in the future.
