Apr 14,2023Sophie at Richard Kendal Estate Agents was just the best. From putting the property on the market to handing the keys over on completion, Sophie kept us up date through the sale. She telephoned us at every step. I never had to ring the office about solicitors inquiries or information from the buyer. Sophie anticipated every bit of relaying this information to us through the sale. She was so pleasant and is really very knowledgeable within the buying and selling of property. Apr 13,2023I had a really positive experience with Richard Kendall Pontefract/Castleford while selling our home and purchasing a new one. Richard Kendall’s service felt personal and considerate which was the polar opposite of our experience with a large chain brand in Castleford previously. They answer the phone every time it rings, which is something you take for granted until you experience an estate agent that isn’t available when you need them. If our required contact wasn’t available, we would always have someone else to speak to and messages were always passed on swiftly. The sale and purchase went through so quickly (within 8 weeks) with second to none communication throughout. Following our sale/purchase we had some unfortunate after sale issues (unrelated to the service Richard Kendall provided) that required communication with Richard Kendall in Wakefield, again, I was treated with respect and professionalism to resolve the issue quickly. I would use Richard Kendall for any future moves without hesitation! My advice to anyone else buying or selling a property, it’s definitely worth using a local company versus the larger chains. Big thank you to Liz Cooke for securing our sale and purchase after a precarious start with another agency and to Claire Kendall for resolving our after sale issues with care and consideration.

Karen Marijewko was the senior property consultant at Wakefield branch and constantly updated us throughout the whole process. Once the property had sold Karen regularly communicated with us with sale progression and actively chased the solicitors for updates. I would definitely recommend Richard Kendall Estate agents and would use them again.

Mar 24,2023As a previous customer of Richard Kendall (Both buying and selling), I have seen an enormous change in the way that they deal with people. When trying to purchase a property no one calls you back and the whole experience is very frustrating.The lady I dealt with 'Lucy' was in my opinion condescending and abrupt.(This is the second call on two different properties with the same sales agent, and the same bad customer service was received) I found myself almost arguing with her until I pointed out that I also had a property to sell at which point her telephone manner changed. Needless to say I have decided to sell my property through another agent, which will give me peace of mind that another prospective customer won't have the same experience as me. Richard Kendall you need to observe how your staff are speaking to customers

Both Joanne and Liz were considerate, knowledgeable and helpful, they made what could have been a stressful time, pretty stress free, doing a lot of chasing on my behalf to ensure things ran smoothly.
