The good: Delivery team is professional and helpful. Providing regular update on their ETA and always looking out to not damage the property The bad: Call centre is super unhelpful. Their 'everything is following SOP' attitude is not helpful especially when we need to make outside arrangement. Waiting until 6pm to get the finalised delivery schedule limit the ability and flexibility to make any arrangements.

I have shipped my belongings through the Seven Seas twice now and have only ordered the domestic shipping in the UK, so I can't vouch for their international services. But my experience with them has been overwhelmingly positive so far. I shipped my belongings via Seven Seas in 2023 and 2024 (just this month). Both times I received the boxes and an extensive amount of packing material well in advance of the collection date, and the drivers arrived promptly and were very quick to collect my items. The boxes were later delivered in great condition (this year I also paid for storage, so the boxes were stored for about a month). This month, the delivery was slightly delayed because the truck with my items broke down. I was quickly informed regarding the situation via a call - and the delay only lasted about an hour, which was very impressive! I am a very sceptical person but, so far, I would rate my experience with the Seven Seas very highly. The prices seem fine too, at least for the services I ordered (domestic shipping in 2023, domestic shipping + student storage in 2024), though I don't have much experience with other shipping companies. I don't really have any complaints either.
How was the live tracking of your shipment? - 4.5/5; Very good, had a live map tracker for the UK-HK route but the tracker for HK-MY didn't work (not a major issue since they are close anyway) How did you find our online support, such as in-journey updates and booking your shipment's return? - 5/5; Online support was prompt in giving the info I needed, very responsive, professional and friendly Were our drivers friendly and helpful? - 5/5; All drivers, in both UK and MY, were very friendly and helpful. They were very knowledgeable of the services as well Additional comments - It took three months for the entire process to be completed; One Ingenuity took the South African route before reaching HK, and my packages then went directly to Port Klang - I would say it's the responsibility of customers to ensure that things are properly packed and the responsibility of Seven Seas to ensure that the shipping process isn't too rough. For example, one of my boxes had noticeable damage, but this was nonmaterial since the contents were still untouched, and my fault since I caused the initial bruise on the box. I would also advise others to take full advantage of their supplementary bubblewrap, and maybe get more since sea freights are expected to be rough. Other boxes were in very good shape so I think Seven Seas did a good job on their end - Seven Seas was the only sea freight providers that was transparent and not seem sketchy, so I'm glad that my experience throughout the entire process confirmed this Areas for improvement - Considering how long the process is, maybe make it easier to see a summary of the total approximate costs, or attach this summary everytime costs are due to be paid; regardless I thought the pricing was competitive
The boxes and the packing material provided are sufficient and high quality. The staffs and driver from Sevenseas are helpful and patient for any question. Also, they are happy to assist you when there is any issue arise. So far, there is no hidden fee being charged. I will recommend my fds to use their service.
Procedures are simple and easy, bill is clearly illustrated. I was well informed on my boxes’ location.
Seven Seas makes shipping a breeze, because they handle all of the logistics — ALL of them. I packed 10 standard boxes (their boxes are excellent!). The website guided me through the inventory process with little difficulty. In the couple of cases where I had a bit of trouble completing the customs documents, a quick call to the Seven Seas help number resolved the issues easily. I was impressed that I got hold of an actual person straight away. Pickup of my boxes was equally painless. The driver was courteous and helpful.
Through every step of the way they were on hand to help and ensure that everything was done correctly. The form filling seemed daunting but they called if I did anything wrong, this ensured a smooth passage through customs. They were extremely helpful with the packing of the cube. They kept me informed of the cube’s progress and when it was delivered, at the time they said it would Dave the driver was really helpful and willing to assist. I think the issue might've been my account manager rather than 7seas. She was not very responsive and also didn't prepare me ahead of time for alot of the paperwork.
Overall I was very pleased with the handling of my task, which was a bit complicated, sending personal and household goods from my school in China to two locations, to the US and to the Philippines. With the good, sturdy boxes, nothing got broken. Timing was pretty good, under 3 months, and surprisingly, both arrived on the same day. Customer service was good, as I had to adjust one destination slightly a couple times in arranging for a friend to receive it in my behalf. Only thing I didn't think worked well was the online tracking. The one shipment did okay tracking across the ocean and around to New York, but nothing after that to IL. The other tracked to Hong Kong and just stayed at "delayed at sea" for weeks, right up until a third party delivery company showed up at my door. But they did get it to my door and carried it in Everything arrived as it should. Grateful.
