We recently bought an electric car and started our search for a home charger. Many of the companies were too aggressive, with one wanting money up front for a site visit; also so many of them looked very utilitarian, not very pleasing to the eye. Then we came across Simpson & Partners, a family run business, based in the Cotswolds. The product looked good, with various colours for the body and a choice of lid types (plastic, wood, metal), and more importantly made in the UK. We had a number of queries (being a new EV owner) and phoned a few occasions, and each time Seth answered our questions patiently and very professionally. Even though he was new to their business he had a good knowledge and when he didn’t know the answer, he went and found out. This was refreshing as we have had companies that make up answers or just say what they think we want to here. Seth was very helpful and friendly, and is a credit to himself and the company. After careful consideration we went ahead and bought the Home Series EV Charger (7kW Basic, Neutral Front, Grey Plastic Lid). It arrived a few days later; we were impressed with the design of the packaging (very sturdy nothing flimsy), and the instructions for us and our installer (which included an installation template in the lid) were very clear. The charger itself looked even better than the website and the quality of the materials used lived up to expectations. We are very pleased with our EV Charger, which looks great, very stylish, which is even better as our EV charging point had to be at the front of the house by our front door. We whole-heartedly recommend this family business, and are proud to buy British.

Excellent, Made in UK product again. This is an extremely well designed and manufactured EV charger which oozes quality. The sales team I was dealing with were knowledgeable, professional and polite. I am glad that I came across this company when I decided to buy a charger for my car. I hope we start designing and manufacturing all our consumer products here again.

I recently made the move to a full electric vehicle (EV) and encountered the challenge of installing a home charger on a Grade II listed building. I can’t praise enough the British-made Simpson and Partners Home series charger suggested as a solution. The design quality and innovative features of this product, along with its user-friendly control app, are truly remarkable. It serves as an excellent example of a British manufacturer delivering a world-class product that surpasses expectations. If you are looking for a beautifully designed EV product and slick charging control you should seriously give this consideration

What a beautiful EV charger! We are EV charger installers and we like to install quality devices for our customers. Having just fitted 2 Simpson chargers on consecutive days I can say that they are not only beautifully made and sexy to behold, they are very easy to install and commission, making it a no brainer for me to be recommending them to our clients. Honestly, its like unpacking a larger version of a top end smart phone....everything in the box exudes yumminess! My one little niggle, if I am to have one would be that the tethered version just has a hook to hang the cable onto....It's a personal thing, but I way prefer when you are able to wrap the cable around the charger, maybe with it disappearing slightly behind the main body of the charger like some of the competition do as I think it looks neater. But that's a personal preference and does not stop me giving the Simpson 5 stars as it is a beauty. The customer / installer service is very good too; I had a question when I was installing and although all the tech guys were all busy, I was called back within 14 minutes!! Can't knock that for service!

Who said that practical had to be boring? This EV charger is such a beautiful, stylish design, it does not look out of place on my old stone property. It is also very simple to use, and the App connected to the charger provides all the information required. I had to contact Simpson & Partners for information on two occasions, and each time my call was answered promptly and efficiently. The customer service is excellent . I would highly recommend this EV Charger.

Fantastic product, beautifully designed and packaged. Support online is good too. Only niggle is for a £49 cable holder, including some fixtures & fittings wouldn’t have gone amiss, but not a big deal.

Moving to a Plug in Hybred and discovered that wall chargers can be a mine field in regards to Solar panel compatibility. And Simpsons and partners fits that criteria. I spoke to some one at the firm.who was very patient answered my question. Also these chargers can be installed by a qualified electrician and don't need a trained installer which made my life easier as the electrician l use can do tye job
