Well organised company, very good chalet host,
A review of Chalet Eisfasll and Skiworld I have just returned early (checked out after incompetent staff who are all young and don’t care) from my ski holiday having decided to depart 2 days in advance. This has nothing to do with St Anton, which is a great place, but Chalet Eisfall is a disgrace. There are so many issues to discuss but a few are detailed below: BEDS, (The bed issue has been bought up by a previous reviewer) I was provided with a Urine and Faeces covered mattress (See Pictures) which was laid on top of a piece of broken chip board. I complained everyday yet the total incompetence of the chalet manager and host failed to do anything about it. On day 4 I decided enough was enough and left. I am sure some of the rooms have OK beds but I can also tell you that many of them don't. I nearly reverted to sleeping on the couch in the Lounge. This is a public health issue due to the hygiene of the beds (DONT LET YOUR KIDS SLEEP IN THESE FLEA PITS) but it is also a general heath issue as I now have pretty bad back pain. I was not looking for a boxspring deluxe bed, just a clean mattress on a simple bed frame. This is a big failure and in my mind a break of contract with SKIWORLD and myself. IF YOU DO DECIDE TO GO TO THIS DUMP I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU PULL BACK THE BED SHEETS TO SEE THE STATE OF THE MATTRESS. BATHROOMS Oh Boy, the bathroom is out of 1945. I had no shower but a hosepipe attached to a tap (See pictures). The wet areas have a single 10 watt bulb so is dreary and very dull. I was told by ski world during my complaint I had no claim to have a shower in my room. Great customer service. The wet areas are also cesspits of poor hygiene and the lazy chalet host failed to clean our room or empty the bin in the 4 days I was in house. Do not expect any cleaning to go on whilst you are there. FILTHY. The bathrooms should be in a 1940s East German film. They are so old it is a joke. Once again don't take my word for it see the pictures. FURNITURE Well, as above the furniture is beyond dated. It is disgustedly dirty as well. The beds are by far the worst but the kitchen furniture is also broken and dangerous. On night one I had to ask the chalet host to either fix a chair or replace it. The dining table is also a public health issue and needs incinerating. DINING. On dining you will basically be dining in a cellar not a dining room. It is grossly dirty and I had a bad stomach for my whole time whilst there. I stopped eating in the evening because food hygiene is also a massive problem. I often observed the chalet host licking her fingers between distributing food to plates with the same fingers and not using tongs or other kitchen utensils. The fridge is also a total disgrace if you look inside it. Location. Yes the location is great with regard to getting on the slopes but it is the other end of town to all the main après ski (mooserwirt ect) so although you will be able to get straight on the lift in the morning you will need to get a taxi back if you hit the Apres. Summary This holiday was a total failure. Chalet Eisfall is a pit and is not fit for public living and I am in the process of reporting it to the public health authorities in St Anton. It was a waste of money and I will never book a holiday with Skiworld again. The customer service started off very well initially (probably to prevent me complaining) but since then they have constantly denied my complaints despite having the rest of the chalet as witnesses as pictures as evidence. Some rooms are better than others but the room on the first floor is as described above. The kitchen is dreadful and the catering is like school pre heated meals. Avoid this unless you like filthy accommodation and like sleeping on urine stained mattresses. Skiworld have failed to address my concerns and now that they have my money they do not care. Ignore the pictures on the web site of Lux chalets and professional chefs. What a load of marketing nonsense, I am sure they have a few like this but if you go to EISFALL it will be like a youth hostel. Due to Skiworlds dishonest approach I have started legal proceedings against this company in pursuit of a full refund.
Just returned from a week in Chalet Aigle Tignes. Fabulous chalet and staff which we could not fault. We had room 21 which was very good. Excellent service from the Skiworld reps including Merrick,Jade,Paddy and Martin plus others. We used the sauna and swimming pool nearly every day and it was excellent. However holiday was spoilt by ridiculous transfer times which were 6 -7 hrs both ways. I don,t know what has happened in France but they were using traffic control measures which completely stopped the traffic moving. We were 4 hours travelling from Tignes to Moutiers alone. I will not consider returning to ski resorts in this area if this becomes the normal. I appreciate that this problem is not related to Skiworld but they need to be aware of our discontent.
The hostess Emily was fantastic, great service & food. Problems with the chalet, only 4 rooms, our drain smelt constantly so the bedroom not good, internet didn't work nor the TV
Terrible Uk side, great in Austria: was forced to buy a BA flight ticket as Skiworld had neglected to complete basic requirements, and took all week to confirm that return flight was sorted. No real explanation and cursory apology, and a risible £25 offer of compensation but only if i booked with them again: you must be joking. The while team in Lech were outstanding! Henry, Frankie and Oscar were superb!
We have just returned from a week in chalet Coucher de Soleil in Val T. The chalet was nice and in a prime condition for skiing - a very short walk to the slopes. It is also right next to the ski shop which is handy. The bars were a bit of a walk away but that wasn't too much of an issue for us. Both Ollie and Robbie were great - Ollie's cooking was excellent! Everyone particularly liked the banana bread. My only criticism would be that the chalet could have been a bit cleaner. In particular, it would have been nice to have had a fresh towel halfway through the week. I know that you had the option to pay 7 euros for this but in previous years we have been with alpine elements and got new towels halfway through the week with no charge. The dishwasher also didn't seem to the working that well so occasionally the mugs were a bit grimy. On the whole, I would book with ski world again.
Chalet hosts themselves were lovely but 'continental' breakfast was a bit disappointing - would be nice to have croissants once in the week and not even any bread on the last morning. Rations were strict too - no seconds offered. Transfer times were excessive - had 4 hours to wait at the airport for the return flight and then it was delayed as well so not a great last day of the holiday.
Our chalet in Zermatt was in the perfect location in the centre of the village. Our room was very comfortable. The fact that chalet board was provided was terrific as eating out in Zermatt can be very expensive. The quality of the food was terrific and we didn’t have to or want to purchase any additional food. With all the pluses mentioned above, what really made the holiday was the warmth friendliness and helpfulness of the chalet hosts and our Ski World rep. Can’t imagine where you could find a holiday that would be better value for money than chalet Mazot! Well done Ski World
Tim is a legend! Such a nice guy and made the trip for us, great cook and easy to talk to.
Great Chalet, fantastic Chalet host Oli who was a credit to the company! Ski Rep Robbie was welcoming, informative and visited every day! Only suggestion is that airport reps should be able to speak basic French!
Well looked after at the Chalet in Val Thorens. Lack of help at the airport by the rep on the coach. She just dissapeared. Apart from that, it's my 2nd time with Skiworld, and I'd use them again.
Our Chalet host was brilliant. The reps were very friendly however sometimes alittle light on information. But overall very good. Had fun at the quiz and the bar crawl. Food was great
Extremely helpful 'resort' hosts. Chalet Host was exceptionally good, and the team leaders were very cheery and helpful. Perhaps a little less of the hard sell is needed. Not everyone goes to party and Apre Ski!!! Sorry! The chap at Grenoble needed a little more training!!! But his supervisor - Ann, was particularly good.
We stayed in Val Thorens in a 14 person chalet to celebrate my son's 30th birthday. The hosts of the Apricot were excellent and nothing was too much for them. We had several different dietary needs and an 18 week expectant woman with us. The chalet was kept clean and tidy and we had plenty to eat and drink. The reason that I have not given this a 5* rating is that the beds ere extremely uncomfortable and all of us ended the week with back ache caused by the beds.
Great staff and service.
Fab group holiday, nothing was ever too much trouble. Excellent chalet hosts. Special mention to Tony and Anna, you were both brilliant. Thank you!
Really well organised and informed, looked after us in our chalet. Local knowledge was excellent and could point us in the right direction, breakfast and dinners were great in variety, taste and portion size. Made the trip really well organised and all I had to concentrate on was the skiing
We had a couple of issues but all were sorted in resort. Great staff.
The experience was 95% awesome. The 5% less so was the trip from Meutiers to Grenoble, which was in a coach that didn't have sufficient luggage room, so upon arrival at the airport, we had to wait 20 min for another coach onto which most of our bags had been loaded.

Mar 14,2018Brilliant time and our chalet host Olivia was amazing. She couldn't do enough for us and really made the holiday.
