Mar 08,2017We bought the superking half and half. My husband wanted a firm foam layer and I wanted a medium foam layer. However the medium foam was still too firm for me. When they phoned towards the end of the try-out period, I told them this fact and they immediately sent me a soft layer as a replacement for the medium. Yes they DO soft foam but they don't publicise the fact. Great after sales customer service. The mattress itself has really been,and continues to be, terrific for sleep quality BUT mattress maintenance is difficult. The mattress has no handles to lift it with and this makes it an impractical purchase for anyone elderly, not physically strong or anyone with any back problems. Why on earth don't they stitch handles on the mattress sides in the factory?! Mattress turning (which they do recommend) is incredibly difficult and hard work and made more so for us because we also have to switch around the soft and firm sides when turning the upper second layer. So before buying, be aware that this thing is just incredibly heavy. Maybe Sleeping Duck could consider manufacturing lifting straps that pass under the mattress and ....supplying them also to existing customers!

Feb 02,2017Been SLEEPING (soundly) on this wonderful superking mattress since end of November '16. Waited this long to give a review to make sure we had tested it properly. Me: 115kg mountain, wifey only half that! We purchased the "Firm" mattress and neither of us have the slightest hesitation in recommending it . My wife is a back sleeper and I am a side/back. We both sleep soundly 99% of the time, a huge improvement on our last mattress. We have, strangely, purchased a 10.5 and a 7.5tog duvet. We find the 7.5 just as warm as the 10.5! Remember to buy the EXTRA DEEP fitted sheets, as the mattress is very deep. I find as a bit of a tossed/turner, that the fitted sheet doesn't crumple up at all! Excellent! The mattress does have an oily smell when new but disappears after a few days. We also found it quite straight forward to turn the mattress as recommended. We are over two thirds way through our 100 days and have no qualms in recommending this fab mattress. Patrick and Annette.

Jan 17,2017I have suffered with lower back pain for a number of years and it was always worse in the morning after difficult nights sleep. Since owning a sleeping duck mattress the pain has has almost gone. I wanted a mattress which would go up narrow stairs and was dubious about this being rolled up. It was brilliant and so easy to get upstairs. The customer service is really good they rang me to check it all went well and have contacted me since reassuring me if I have any problems I should give them a ring. I would not hesitate to recommend this mattress or use sleeping duck again in fact I wish I had purchased a sleeping duck mattress years ago.

Jan 17,2017Excellent delivery service and follow up. No pressure, just friendly enquiries to check if we were happy or had any problems. Took a couple of nights to adjust. Realised we needed a new flat base, not old sprung divan, but with new base no problems. Good nights sleep. Foam not too hot. Bed suits both me and my partner. He sleeps on his back or front, I lie on my side. I have had issues in the past with leg and hip pains, but not with this bed - brilliant. We went for the medium. Thank you sleeping duck!

Jan 17,2017When I first tried the mattress I thought it was a little hard but then after a week something happened. My sleeping position changed and it was as though no matter how I moved I 'felt' completely horizontal. This feeling is akin to floating on water without the need to excerpt any force or hold ones breath. Great mattress!

Jan 16,2017Hmmm.. nice and comfy. Really happy with the mattress. We chose the Super King "firm" option and it's right for us. Mind you It took a good while for the strong odor from the foam, but will clear. We kept the room well ventilated and is o.k. now. Definitely needed two strong guys to take it upstairs. Good price compared to big high street vendors. Delivered on specified date and time slot. The driver contacted us before delivery.

Jan 16,2017I can not shout about this loud enough. After a lot of searching,investigating reviews of several different mattresses I kept coming back to this one. I am so glad i did, my first night sleeping on this mattress is the first night in a very long time that I have got out of bed with no back pain and nor have I been clinging on the edge when my two French Bulldogs snuggle up to me as do not get so hot from them. I even would go as far as saying they also sleep so much better too. I am saving to buy another for my guest bedroom so that when I have visitors they too will have a great nights sleep.

Excellent customer service throughout the whole ordering and delivery process. They even rang me a couple of weeks after I'd received the mattress to see how I was getting on. Very refreshing approach.

Jan 16,2017We have had our 'duck' now for about 5 months and can only say it is simply brilliant, we had looked at a number of mattresses all of a similar price but we chose the sleeping duck as the design/construction made more sense and we were not wrong instantly both my wife and I slept so much better than before and we had an expensive mattress before the duck...cannot recommend the sleeping duck highly enough. Just brilliant!!

Jan 10,2017Really happy with the service from Sleeping Duck. As promised, they get in touch by email and later by phone to see how things are going, which gives a great impression. We haven't returned our mattress, but I feel comfortable that if we wanted to (within the 100 days) they would honour that pledge. Packaging/delivery was good, and the mattress itself seems really well made. It came back to shape after cutting off the vacuum-sealed bag slowly but surely. It is incredibly deep (had to buy new fitted sheets) and feels both firm enough and soft enough. My partner and I both feel comfortable on the mattress. Only negative point for me is that it feels slightly warmer than our old mattress. I like a cold bed, and I think in the summer it would not be my perfect choice. But for cost, ease of purchase, company communication, and overall comfort, this seems a really good option, and I'm happy with what we bought.

There friendly courteous staff have called me a few times after delivery to see how I am getting on with the mattress. When I needed a firmness change they were very helpful and delivery came a few days later. The mattress itself is very comfortable and I am sleeping a lot better.
