I had a few issues with the web site and hadn't been able to change details of my dog or get the keepership certificate. I sent an email to Snart Trace and can't thank Joanne enought for her help it sorting everything out. Her customer service is amazing, thank you once again Joanne.
My microchips never turned up and now is being send back to you, please can I ask when I will get my refund thank you
We have recently got a puppy and needed to transfer her microchip to ourselves as her new owners. However we were having a couple of problems with the website not showing the transfer or certificate. I emailed smart trace and recieved a very quick response from Joanne. She had fixed the problem straight away and attached the certificate to my email so I didn't need to go searching for it. The prompt and helpful reply was really appreciated.

I initially made contact with SmartTrace as the people I rehomed my cats from didn't change their details. Joanne was really helpful and advised what I needed to do, which I duly done. I was then miffed as the previous owner disputed they had rehomed the cats. Obviously receiving an email like this was upsetting so at that point I really wasn't happy. What I needed to remember was Joanne was just doing her job and had to request lots of other info from us. Throughout she was responsive and very helpful even though she was limited what she could tell me due to GDPR. Anyway, after the old owner not responding to further emails and me sending proof I had rehomed the cats I am finally to become their official owners. Thank you Joanne for making a really horrible time that little bit easier with your compassion and understanding.
I had an issue with registering my microchips I emailed and Joanne replied really quickly and was amazing! The customer service is 2nd to none. Couldn’t ask for a better company
We brought our puppy home this week and promptly transferred the ownership using the chip number on the documents provided. When we then went to the vets to register our new family member they scanned our puppy to confirm the chip number. We were advised it didn't correspond with the documentation. We promptly contact SmartTrace. It wasn't long before Sam contacted us and efficiently sorted our the original error and confirm we could then transfer our ownership. Many thanks Sam, very reassuring. (Please note I never give full marks)
Will not change details correctly. Takes money and gives no feedback as to what has happened. Typical modern company. Will not talk to its own customers Hours and hours wasted!!!!!!! PS. I have now wasted 4 hours, 5 phone calls and 10 emails on this. I have lost the entire day since I saw the vet to ensure that this was the correct microchip number with the correct details. I am so unimpressed with this company and how it does business. Treating it's customers with such contempt is an extremely poor business model. I will see if they return my money!!!! I fully expect that they will not!!! I am now so exhausted that I don't care anymore. 11/8/24 Emails still bouncing back and forth. The situation has still not been resolved. Avoid this company at all costs!!!!!

I was given the wrong chip number when I bought my puppy (one digit in the middle was incorrect (a 3 instead of a 5), so I actually transferred someone else's dog instead of mine. After a couple of e-mails to ascertain all the details Bree was able to not only put the original dog back under its original owner but also put my puppy under my profile.
Yesterday morning I sent an email query to SmartTrace and I had a response from Bree by the afternoon. Excellent service…. thank you.
Just moved house and as you would expect. loads to do, unpacking boxes and going through a big list of people to tell and update addresses such as Banks, Doctors and the like. On the list was to update the address details on my smartTrace dog chip was to me is important, if my dog was to go missing etc. I also changed email address back along and didn't give the chip a thought. This made logging in to update the chip a task which was good really, because you wouldn't want just anybody just logging on and taking control of your dog's details. The agent who I was in contact with me was called 'Joanne' who was very helpful from the start and after a short while of going back and forwards answering emails of proving who I was, the problem was solved and now my dogs chip details are all updated alongside my new current email address. I now also have a website I can log into should anything change again, so any more updates will be much easier. Thank you Joanne for being so quick and helpful and sorting everything out for me.

Aug 01,2024After receiving an email which I thought was from smarttrace. I went on the website & somehow ended up with 2 separate accounts and paid £25. I emailed customer service & received a very prompt response from Joanne who advised she had reverted my account back as it should be & refunded the payment immediately.
