This is the first time I have had to contact SmartTrace concerning transferring the micro chip details of my dog to another owner due to unfortunate circumstances, Joanne was exceedingly helpful and solved the issue I was having.

When I got my new puppy I was told by the previous owner that she was microchipped, upon taking her to the vets I was informed that she did not have a microchip and had to have a new one, I contacted smattrace to inform them that their microchip was missing from my puppy and that I wanted to deregister her microchip, I received a email from smattrace to say that they needed further information and confirmation from my vet that the microchip was missing, my vet emailed them the next day, after a few days I received another email asking for further information, I asked my vet if the email had been sent upon which he sent another email to smarttrace, the next day I received a email saying my ticket had been closed, upon raising the case of the missing microchip again I was asked for further information again, which my vet again emailed smarttrace, after a few days I again received a email saying my ticket was closed, after emailing smarttrace again and being emailed by Bree everything has finally been sorted. All I can say is that I don't recommend smarttrace because of all of this trouble of deregistering a missing microchip and the fact it has taken 3 weeks to get sorted, but I do recommend Bree for all the help she has been.
