Firstly let me thank Joanne for helping me to resolve the issues regarding a pet transfer. After a frustrating number of weeks (December till February) Joanne actually provided me with the correct information and procedures to follow to complete the pet transfer so Joanne THANK YOU. However the experience and support service provided by SMART TRACE as a company I found to be lacking in every way...............when calling I was cut off numerous times, when trying to transfer on line there were no instructions explaining the procedure to follow so left unsure at what stage we had got to in the process. Even when the original owner tried, he came back and said that he had no success in transferring details over and told me to keep trying on the website which I did but no joy!! I emailed them asking for help in the transfer process to then just get a response telling me to use the form from the website which was the form I had used and still no response or help in explaining how to do the transfer. Called VET and he said he could not help and to contact Smartrace. Emailed again clearly venting my dissatisfaction and frustration at the lack of customer support and luckily Joanne received it and responded by providing the information I required to complete the transfer. I am not happy regarding this experience and have little faith in that if my pet goes missing they would provide the trace service promised.

Contacted SmartTrace today as I realised I had not downloaded the registration certificate. There was a slight glitch on the website which was dealt with by Joanne very quickly, and she sent me a copy via email. Excellent service and nice to know the people entrusted with the safety of a pet respond so quickly. Thank you Joanne.

I have bought a puppy from a breeder, however when I tried to transfer microchip details to my name I experienced a few unpleasant surprises. First, I was directed to a legitimate website despite was following instruction provided by the microchip card given to me by the breeder. Second, the dog breed and colour was recoded wrong and to the different keeper. It was very stressful and frustrating, luckily, the SmartTace support team responded very fast within an hour, with very clear explanation and direction of actions. The issues was successfully resolved within two days and now I am happy owner of cute little puppy. What would be good for the SmartTrace to work on reducing the amount of scum around their databases. Surely there is the way to protect the database from the fraud better.

Bree is an excellent customer service advisor for smart trace! Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to rehome a pet, the new owners failed numerous times to update the microchip details and upon contacting smart trace for help Bree fully supported my concerns and helped to resolve the issue within 12 hours! I now have piece of mind that that the pet in question is now updated appropriately.
