Exceptional and high quality service provided. Would highly recommend.
Service was concise, quick and salesperson was very knowledgeable. Product works a treat and will definitely use again.
I found solargain to be excellent. We installed their solar panels and heat pump for water. They arrived at the agreed day and time. The electrician was also prompt. I had hot water within an hour of the heat pump being installed. The tradesmen were professional. They took away all the rubbish. Our last three electricity bills have been in credit.
12 months on from Solar Installation. Installed 6.50kw Q CELL Optimize panels with a 5kw Solar Edge Inverter, good choice for my home (MELBOURNE). My sales person was Michael Golden, Personable, patient, gave great advice and has EXCELLENT product knowledge. There was NO pressure to buy, Michael is an absolute Asset to the company. System installed by Ryan & Sam on 15th Jan 2019, 40degree day. They were efficient, left no mess and were happy to answer any questions we had. POST installation admin process was slow, due I think in part, to staff absence at the time. In the big picture this was a hiccup. Over all assessment: I was extremely happy with the advise & assistance Michael Golden had given me and VERY HAPPY with our product selection. We are already receiving Electricity accounts with handsome CREDIT amounts. Yes, in my experience I would recommend SOLARGAIN.
I concur with the review 20 Nov 2019 "Its all good until you have a problem." I had my system installed in Nov 2011 and am about to have my 3rd inverter. The original was replaced under warranty in 2014 and it has now failed. just over 5 years since it was installed. Note that Solargain's guarantee states that replacements only carry warranty from the original date of the item being replaced. I am led to believe this is illegal and that a replacement must run from the date of that item being installed. How do I know if I received a new inverter as a replacement or a repaired one? They also state that they source the most reliable components for their systems. The firm making the inverter that has now failed has gone out of business. Very convenient! So I can't get a replacement thermostat and avoid a costly replacement of the unit. Had to wait for two weeks before I could have the new inverter installed then received a call at nearly 3:30 on the day of supposed install to say it couldn't happen due to a delay a previous job. A new appointment has been offered a further two days later "before 9:00 am." At 9:45 I ring to be advised the technician will be 1 - 1.5 hours. He arrived more than 2 hours later. Now it is two days off work to be here for the installation. Surely a little overtime could have been offered for the technician to meet the appointed time frame. All up I will never again recommend Solargain to anyone (so far I have recommended this company to a number of people and I know of at least two who had Solargain systems installed).

Very good solar provider.
My experience with Solargain was poor to say the least. This is a long review, but hopefully steps out the multiple failures of Solargain across the quote - install - post install process so you can avoid the same mistakes I made in choosing them for your system. I requested a quote from Solargain on 09/09/19. Over the next couple of days via phone and email I asked for some simple amendments to the quote. Some of these were made, others (such as removing 1 panel from the quote) were not. I went back and forth about 4 times before being told that the quote didn’t really matter as it could be amended after submission to the Solar Victoria portal. I finally asked the consultant to provide a copy of the quote to my specifications that could be accepted by myself and submitted to Solar Vic by solargain. This simply didn’t happen and the consultant stopped responding to my calls or emails. As a result, I missed the rebate window and my install was delayed. The CEC code of conduct states that ‘Approved retailers will provide you with the necessary information in writing to enable full education about your purchase prior to entering into a contract.’ I should have listened to my gut and avoided Solargain based on my initial interactions, but they had so many good reviews that I led myself to believe that things would get better - they didn’t. I tried again to get the correct quote uploaded by Solargain for the October rebate and again the consultant was unwilling to correct the quote to the system I’d actually asked for (13 panel Jinko, 5kw Growatt inverter - nothing complex!). Finally the consultant promised to correct the quote and submit it to the portal with two days to spare before the next rebate. Frustratingly he then failed to do so, and when I called to find out why I was advised that he’d gone on holiday. If I hadn’t followed up and chased a new consultant I would have missed that round of rebates as well. Finally, with the quote in the Solar Vic system and things progressing Solargain sent someone out to check my roof. They now decided that they design they’d come up with wasn’t suitable and that I might not actually be able to have a system installed at all (I’d like to point out that other installers who visited the property and quoted didn’t seem to see this as an issue). After a week of back and forth a final design was provided and the install booked - for 5 weeks after the Solar Vic application was accepted. Almost 3 months after my first quote, the installers turned up. First thing they did? The re-designed the system entirely to a more practical solution than anything that the ‘consultant’ had come up with over the past 3 months. The install team did a fantastic job. The work was done in a day (although the consultant quoted 5 hours originally), and done professionally. The team was friendly and transparent. The install was by far the most positive part of dealing with Solargain. With the install complete it was time for certification (a Victorian requirement) before the system could be used. I was told 10-15 business days. After 8 I contacted Solargain to check on the progress. I emailed, called, and used their online chat. For 3 days I heard nothing back. As it was now getting close to Christmas I was keen to see the job complete before any potential holiday interruptions. On the 19th I was advised that it was unlikely to be completed and was not provided any details on when the certification would be undertaken. 14 business days passed before Christmas day, and 15 business days were up on the 27th. It took until the 15th January (25 business days, 42 calendar days) for the system to be certified. At no point did Solargain provide any update on when it might occur and it seemed that it was only through my chasing that anything happened at all. The CEC code of conduct states ‘Approved retailers will fully inform you of the process between system installation and network connection or will facilitate this process on your behalf’. I've asked solargain to provide a refund equivalent to what the system would have generated across the period when it should have been certified but wasn't. They haven't acknowledged this request. It took over 4 months from the initial quote for the system to be installed and certified for use (we aren’t even feeding back into the grid yet.. that could be another 20 days). I believe this to be a wholly unacceptable timeframe. As such I requested that solargain provide me with details on their formal complaint process. Solargain did not provide any details on the complaints process, nor did they even recognise my request to lodge a formal complaint. The CEC code of conduct states ‘Approved retailers maintain a fair and transparent complaints process, and get back to you within 21 days of you making a complaint’ If you’ve got this far you’ll have seen that Solargain has failed on multiple occasions to meet the CEC code of conduct, or to even act in a reasonable manner for a business providing a service. I regretted on multiple occasions that I stayed with Solargain as my retailer, and should have gone with my gut early on when the consultant was unwilling (or incapable) of completing an accurate quote to lodge onto the Solar Vic system. To date I’ve had four friends ask if who I used for my solar system and if I’d recommend them. I’ve had to tell them to avoid Solargain, and my advice to anyone reading would be the same.
We can already see results from the products recommended. The whole process was a breeze from consultation to installation including follow up calls to set up the app.

Feb 04,2020Solargain took over after sunterra monumentally screwed up an installed the wrong system so solargain had to check out the roof an make sure it wouldn't affect my correct system from them an there was no extra charges no lies about what system was going on an they were easy to deal with an price was great for the system I got. Very happy with the outcome
