Some at Solargain were good at a response, another person was very slow. I have taken action with my electricity company to do what a person from Solargain cced me about.
Compatible quote, quick and proper instruction for all process, timely manner organizing an installation and setup. Overall very happy with the system I have got.
Did what they said they'd do and the system hasn't missed a beat. Not the cheapest but competitive on value.
No prob all went like you said the guys who fitted it did a great job without damaging anything and left everything clean have recommended you to everyone who has asked thanks again seems to be all working great
Happy with service. and insulation so far all is good
very happy with all service from start to the end .. hopefully still have good service and support in the future 👍
Solargain ultimately delivered a very good product, installed to code. However, there is no single point of contact, and as installation is subcontracted out, leaves many points of responsibility which is difficult to track, chase and follow-up especially when there are issues (such as it not being installed to code). Suggest negotiating a different payment structure to deposit and remainder of installation as you might, as I did, spot a significant defect the day after. Also, if you want a colour other than silver as your rails, suggest you make sure you follow it up. Offering choice on this didn't appear to be part of their standard MO, took a fair while to organise pricing, facilitate etc. Also, weren't well hooked up with various add-ons to improve efficiency that you might want to consider, esp around elec hot water. Subcontractors work processes around tile removal and tile dust could be improved from a WHS perspective and not filling my roof cavity with tile dust (have a look at solar cutters on FB for best practice on this). This industry has it's fair number of shonks, and these guys and gals are not part of that. If you don't believe that there are fair number of shonks get on Crap Solar at facebook and have a look!
Very happy, nothing I can complain about! Kind and courteous staff, clean, professional. I highly recommend Solargain. This is the second time I have used them. A returning customer for another property because never had an issue with the first one!
Sales consultants where very knowledgeable and gave great advice and great service.
Good customer service. Guide me through the whole process and they can be easily contacted if you need help or advice.
After market support poor. I purchased a Solar-gain hot water unit and evacuated tube system for my roof in 2016. The install was good and I have not had any issues with the system at all, a good product and I give 5 Star's for install and reliability. However, it seems that one of the Solar Evacuated tubes has let air in and now discoloured, so no longer a vacuum. Called the Fyshwick Office and the gentleman was very good, pointed me in the direction of a plumber used for installation. Called the plumber and said he could get one dropped of in about a week. A week later I called again, ok, this week. Third week and so on. On the 4th week call Fyshwick office again and had a talk, that was 6 days ago and still don't have a tube. All I am asking for is one $75 evacuated tube, all I seem to get is excuses. For a good product I am now worried there is poor aftermarket support. All I want is one tube! Why can't I look up the Solargain web site and purchase the part and have it delivered?
The fit was fine. However the plumbers connected directly to the original gas heater piping to save work . Effectively making a double run for the hot water supply. It was a full minute running the hot tap before the water became hot. I had to get a plumber in to run a supply direct to the kitchen from the solar and cut out the double run right across the house. The water ran perfectly afterwards. However it was 500 dollars of extra expense and waste of my time. So not really impressed.
Install: Generally good, some delays with getting install finalised with installer not having the required breakers and having to return later - this required me to seek a rebate extension from solar vic. Equipment: System's performing well, generating a heap of juice. Only complaint is the fronius symo is ****** noisy!! (Neighbour hasn't complained yet...)
Was reasonably happy with the install although the sales guy on the phone didnt know much about how solar panels function when the sun was low in the sky. Anyway the install was fine and everything was good until the Enphase Envoy stopped reporting data. Solar gain sent a tech out who concluded their was "noise" in our power cables and that was messing with the Envoy. We tried moving it to other power points, testing where the noise might be coming from but it was all inconclusive. In the end Solar gain just said we'd have to buy an updated version for over $600!!! It was still under warranty but the "noise" issue is apparently our problem even though it worked fine for 2.5 years. Very poor customer service. Would not recommend.
The sales rep wanted to sell us what we wanted, not a system that was based on price. We have only had one technical issue caused by the invertor company, not Solar Gain. Over all the service has been excellent. It is worth going with a 9001 compliant company.
The fitment of the panels was completed on the day arranged but when I checked the job on the weekend, the end panel on one row was only secured only on one side. Once informed Solargain had the installers rectify the problem very promptly. It did take too long in my opinion to get the certificate to be able to commission my Solar installation The inspector that finally did come and inspect the installation stated he had been here weeks ago and signed off the job ? Not sure where the mix up was ? But since the minor hiccups in the the commissioning of our system the Solar seems to working well Cheers
I can’t recommend Solar Gain enough! Professional from the start to the end! Thankyou Chris Harvey! You made it all run like clock work! Now I can sit back and put my air conditioner on with out stressing about the bills! Samantha Kampf
Solar Provider of Choice Have been very happy with the renewable energy advice, expertise and best of all the post-installation support from Solargain. They believe in what they are doing and quality comes first. Would use them again if the chance presented itself.
its all good until you have a problem we thought we were getting a 3.2kw system only when i saw 2 inverters did i ask why and it turns out they fitted 2 1.5 systems with 2 sharp inverters told us we pay a bit more for good inverters they have broken down twice in 6 years and now they want to charge us $230 just to come and have a look at the problem. it turns out these sharp inverters are not good in fact they don't even make them anymore, last time i called 5 days ago they said a supervisor would get back to me , still waiting.

Dec 12,2019Solar gain not only repaired my “broken system” they absolutely replaced it. A good company to deal with. Highly recommended.
